- Otto Stoeckel was born on August 6, 1873 in Buttelstedt, Germany. He was an actor, known for Little Dorrit (1934), Spiel mit Menschen (1922) and Die lustigen Vagabunden (1940). He died on November 17, 1958 in West Berlin, West Germany.
- Stage and screen character actor, the son of a hairdresser. In films of the 1930's and 40's, often seen as men of means or high rank. Made numerous voice-overs after the war, dubbing in German for English-speaking actors like Finlay Currie, Lionel Barrymore, Felix Aylmer and Cyril Delevanti.
