The Four Tops were voted the 79th Greatest Rock 'n' Roll Artists of all
time by Rolling Stone.
When The Four Tops, first recorded one of their biggest hits "Reach Out (I'll Be There), Stubbs was uncomfortable with the key the song was written in; voicing that it was too high. The Producrers claimed to have understand yet kept the key the way it was in order for Stubbs to portray the range of emotion that they were looking for in his performance.
The Four Tops, were awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 7060 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.
He was elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 (as a member of The Four Tops).
He had five children with his wife, Clineice: daughter, Deborah; daughter, Beverly; son, Raymond; daughter, Kelly; and son, Levi Jr.
Has eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grand children.
