Heinrich Joseph Tandler, an Austrian immigrant, composed a number of
popular and sentimental pieces in the 1910s and 1920s.
Arriving in the USA in 1910, he became a pianist at the Clark Hotel in Los Angeles, and resided in Santa Monica.
He also recorded a number of player piano rolls for the Filmusic company of Los Angeles under their 'P-O-P' label.
He died in August 1940.
