Vijay Tendulkar was born on January 6, 1928 in Kolhapur, Bombay Presidency, British India. He was a writer and actor, known for Aakrosh (1980), Ardh Satya (1983) and Manthan (1976). He was married to Nirmala Tendulkar. He died on May 19, 2008 in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
Wrote in Marathi, but was translated in many Indian languages.
