Is ITV really going to bring back Cold Feet?
That's the rumour, with the broadcaster apparently looking to plug the Downton-shaped hole in its schedule with a revival of the popular comedy-drama.
If it's true, they'll have a job bringing the cast back together - some have gone on to be huge telly and film stars, while others have stepped out of the spotlight entirely...
James Nesbitt
Nesbitt's carefree lothario Adam Williams met his match in Helen Baxendale's Rachel - the couple overcame infidelity and infertility but were denied lasting happiness when Rachel was killed in a traffic accident.
Since Cold Feet wrapped, Nesbitt has become one of British television's most in-demand leading men.
He fronted BBC One's gritty cop series Murphy's Law from 2003-07, led Steven Moffat's supernatural thriller Jekyll - also in 2007 - and played the title character in ITV's short-lived medical drama Monroe (2011-12).

Champion of the disinherited of postwar Italy, Pier Paolo Pasolini's masterworks reveal an obsession with martyrdom that foreshadowed his own wretched death
At the end of Mamma Roma (1962), Pier Paolo Pasolini's great film, the hero lies dying on a prison bed like the dead Christ of Mantegna or a barefoot saint by Caravaggio. Much has been made of the Renaissance and baroque iconography in Pasolini's cinema. The implied blasphemy of Caravaggio's grubby, low-life Christs excited the iconoclast in the Italian film-maker, whose wretched death was somehow foreshadowed in his own work. On the morning of 2 November 1975, in a shanty town outside Rome, Pasolini was found beaten beyond recognition and run over by his Alfa Romeo. A woman had noticed something in front of her house. "See how those bastards come and dump their rubbish here," she complained.

James Sutton has revealed his reasons for bowing out of Emmerdale, explaining that he wants to "get cracking" with new career projects. The actor's character Ryan Lamb leaves the village in next Tuesday's episode, following in the footsteps of mum Faye (Kim Thomson), who also recently departed. Ryan has been a less prominent fixture on screen in recent months after the high drama surrounding the Wyldes and the Lambs came to an end in late 2010. Speaking to Holy Soap about his Emmerdale exit, Sutton commented: "I was thinking about it last year. Lyndon Ogbourne and Amanda Donohoe left and Kim Thomson said she was thinking about leaving, so my whole family set-up in the village was disappearing. "I came from Hollyoaks before that, so I've done five-and-a-half years on soaps now. I'm privileged to have had that training (more)...

Kim Thomson has revealed that she is focusing on writing projects following her departure from Emmerdale. The actress recently filmed her final scenes as Faye Lamb, who leaves the village in tomorrow night's double bill of the ITV1 soap. Discussing her time with the Yorkshire-based drama, Thomson told This Morning today: "I'm going to miss it. But two years is quite a long time and I don't live there. I live in London and I spend a lot of time in La, so that's tricky - you only get home one day a week. And I've got other things I want to do as well - I've got other projects. "I've just written my first screenplay and I've got an option on a book - it's a thriller that I'm really excited about, called No Good Deed, and I've just got a final draft of it, so I'm excited. Emmerdale star Emma Atkins has admitted that she has some sympathy for Cain Dingle following his split from her character Charity. The pair broke up last month after Cain was unfaithful by sleeping with Faye Lamb (Kim Thomson) - a misguided attempt at revenge as he believed that Charity was cheating with businessman Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson). In recent weeks, Charity has moved in with Jai, leaving Cain (Jeff Hordley) increasingly jealous and determined to sabotage the pair's relationship by whatever means possible. Atkins told Emmerdale's official website: "I think at this point I would safely say that Charity has broken Cain's heart more times than either would care to remember, so in some ways Cain is used to being treated really badly by Charity and (more)...

Emmerdale star Emma Atkins has admitted that she is enjoying her character's current feud with schemer Faye Lamb. The actress's alter ego Charity Dingle has clashed constantly with Faye (Kim Thomson) in recent weeks, as the feisty personal assistant has been causing mischief by interfering in her relationship with Cain (Jeff Hordley). Events take a further twist in this week's episodes as Cain sleeps with Faye, determined for revenge as he is under the mistaken impression that Charity is having an affair with her boss Jai Sharma. Speaking to We Love Telly, Atkins confirmed that Charity is "not at all" pleased when she learns of Cain and Faye's one-night (more)...

Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley has admitted that his character Cain Dingle does not take partner Charity seriously when she dumps him in next week's episodes. Tension between the couple is about to reach fever pitch on screen as Cain has a one-night stand with Faye Lamb (Kim Thomson), determined for revenge as he is convinced that Charity has cheated. In reality, however, Charity (Emma Atkins) has stayed faithful to Cain by spurning the advances of her boss Jai Sharma. Later, when she discovers that Cain has slept with Faye, she declares that their relationship is over. Discussing how Cain reacts to the break-up, Hordley commented: "He's still absolutely convinced Charity has slept with Jai and he wants her to admit something was going on. They've had (more)...

Emmerdale star Kim Thomson has confirmed that she is to leave the soap at the end of her current contract. The actress will film her final scenes for the Yorkshire serial within the next couple of months after playing the role of Faye Lamb since early 2009. Speaking of her decision to bow out, Thomson told Take It Easy: "I'm sad of course because I've loved working with everyone here, but I found it so hard being away from home. It's just too far from London. "I've got friends I literally haven't seen for two years because I get home at weekends and there's only a 24-hour window to fit everyone in. That's been hard, but I've had an amazing time here and been so lucky with storylines - I'll be sad to go. Though York couldn't maintain the Christie-like success of her 60s peak, her unusual choices made for an interesting career
There was a rage for Susannah York in the 60s like there was for Julie Christie and Vanessa Redgrave, so it seemed odd when it ended in the mid-70s. All of a sudden, the rush of good parts stopped. This seemed odd, after her Oscar nomination as best supporting actress in They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969). But then, why did she let herself take such roles as that of the superfluous wife in The Battle of Britain in the same year?
In her early career, York had seemed a conventional English beauty: as Alec Guinness's daughter in 1960's Tunes of Glory (her actual debut) and a touching lead performance the following year in Lewis Gilbert's The Greengage Summer as a young woman in France coming to sexual maturity.

Star of Tom Jones and They Shoot Horses, Don't They?, she defied typecasting
Susannah York, who has died aged 72, was a vibrant, energetic personality with a devouring passion for work, strong political opinions and great loyalty to old friends. Her international reputation as an actor depended heavily on the hit films she made in the 1960s, including Tom Jones (1963) and They Shoot Horses, Don't They? But, even when her movie career waned, she worked ceaselessly in theatre, often appearing in pioneering fringe productions. It was typical of her that, although diagnosed with cancer late in 2010, she refused chemotherapy and fulfilled a contractual obligation to do a tour of Ronald Harwood's Quartet.

Back for its third year (see the 2010 edition) and bigger than ever, today kicks off the first in a fifteen-part look at the various cinematic releases hitting the U.S. in 2011.
