We’re looking back at 15 WWE wrestlers who shouldn’t have been crowned world champions. Keep in mind, this list is broken down into specific title runs, so while it was copacetic to have Hulk Hogan wave the banner during the Hulkamania era, that doesn’t mean that it was always the best move to put him at the top of the food chain. Let’s have a look…

WWE 2K23 features quite a few improvements to the franchise formula that will certainly be welcomed by wrestling game fans everywhere. Of course, some things never change, which means that WWE 2K23 still makes you unlock quite a few wrestlers via gameplay accomplishments and by spending both real and virtual currency.
The very good news is that WWE 2K23 makes the various unlock processes fairly painless. The problem is that the game doesn’t always do a great job of telling you exactly how to unlock those wrestlers or the best way to go about acquiring all of them. Hopefully, we can help ease that part of the unlock system just a bit.
How to Unlock Every WWE 2K23 Wrestler With Virtual Currency
The vast majority of wrestlers in WWE 2K23 are unlocked via the game’s Virtual Currency (Vc) system. Every wrestler available via the in-game store costs 1,000 Vc to unlock.

Known for his high-flying kicks and flexibility, Belgian actor Jean-Claude Van Damme is trained in kickboxing, taekwondo, and kung fu. As a teen, he won the European Professional Karate Association's middleweight championship. Hoping to use his unique skillset to become the next big thing in Hollywood, he moved to Los Angeles in the '80s. Today, Van Damme is regarded as one of the best action stars of all time.
His impact extends beyond the world of cinema. He inspired the ring name for one of my favorite professional wrestlers, WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam, whose look and high-flying maneuvers were identical to those of the "Timecop" star, so much so that I actually thought they were brothers. In a 2021 episode of "WWE Icons," the wrestler explained the effect the actor had on his career:
"When I'm down in Florida in '91 and '92, [wrestler-turned-promoter] Ron Slinker is running the [professional wrestling studio] Tampa Sportatorium.

Yokozuna was a legendary WWF (WWE these days) heel, the professional-wrestling term for a bad guy — but Agatupu Rodney Anoaʻi was a legendary good dude.
As the first WWE Superstar profiled on the new biographical docuseries “WWE Icons,” Yokozuna’s episode will follow Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view event on streaming service WWE Network. Pretty good lead-in.
Don’t want to wait until Sunday? Iffy on the SVOD service’s $9.99-per-month price? TheWrap has your first look at WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi talking about his personal memories of Yoko, free of charge.
In our exclusive clip, Rikishi (real name Solofa F. Fatu Jr.) recalls a time in Yoko’s heyday when Rodney Anoa’i was making far more money than he was as a member of The Headshrinkers. While Fatu Jr. could afford a house, he couldn’t swing the money to replace its faulty heating system — but Yoko...

Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have…Alex Trebek died. Norm Crosby died too. Alex Trebek was one of the great gentlemen of television and, if all is to be believed, one of the great people. Jeopardy will survive and get a new host, but it has lost the host that legitimized the show and made it essential viewing for so many of us. Alex Trebek may have actually been my first words, if my mom was accurate. Also, it could have been “Cookie Monster” or “the”. Alex Trebek the Cookie Monster…sounds good to me. As for Norm Crosby, I’ve never heard any terrible things about the man, so there is nothing to say of the 93 year old but, “Rest In Peace”. Okay, let’s go dancin’ darlin’, because the instupidable Vince McMahon has brought...

In the first in a new series of wrestling career retrospectives, Chris takes a look at the Extreme Career of Tommy Dreamer…
Born in Yonkers, New York, in 1971, Thomas James Laughlin was a wrestling fan in his youth and at the young age of only 18 years old he became a wrestler himself. Training under legendary New York pro-wrestler Johnny Rodz, Dreamer would debut in 1989. Rodz would train many wrestlers who we all know very well, from Dreamer himself, to guys like Bubba Ray and D’Von Dudley, Taz and others. Working indie federations such as Iwccw out of Boston, Dreamer began plying his craft in the ring, and it didn’t take him long to land a bigger job, that being with Eastern Championship Wrestling, which he joined in 1992. From there, the man formerly known as Thomas Laughlin’s life would change forever (And ever!…. And ever!…. And ever!)

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Penelope Spheeris here to whoop your ass. Schwing! Agnes Varda framed my kitty-cat and it died…of framing. We’ve got more build to Bound For Glory on the way, so get your wrestling cap on so…wrestling cap? Jesus Titty-Fukking…well, we’ve got six matches and no “The Whole F’n Show” with Rob Van Dam, even though it was advertised last week. Well, I guess Katie Forbes got her ass stuck in the elevator, so she couldn’t reach the stage…maybe? I don’t know. I hope Katie Forbes’s ass is okay and Impact Wrestling starts now. Also, Barry Scott, the magnificent announcer of Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling during its best period, has died. Barry Scott had a tremendous voice and the gravitas to match it.

Well, Royal Rumble has passed us by, WrestleMania is in the distance, SummerSlam is in the rear-view, and so it leaves that final member of the original “Big Four” WWE shows left for the year, with Survivor Series on the horizon for this November. I thought, then, that it might be fun to go back through the annals of Survivor Series history and pluck out ten of the very best matches from the event. Now, this wasn’t going to be a cake-walk. It wouldn’t be easy, afterall, there have been hundreds of matches at the event since its inception back in 1987. Still… I like a challenge, and I like pro-wrestling, so here we go. The ten best (in my modest little view at least) matches in Survivor Series history.

Greetings mortal scum! “Smart” Mark D. Mark here to give you a reason to live! As I fill in for Nathan Favel, I look upon Impact Wrestling: Emergence – Night 2 and wonder…why? Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and “Six Degrees Of Separation” is pissing me off. Bad writing and odd directing is not a good combo for a movie that needs to be believable, like how this show is gonna make some of you just as pissed off as I am right now. Hey, did you know Donald Trump is having people kidnapped for protesting racism and whatever else (there’s a bunch of rioters in there too)? So, WWE have been releasing content about the beloved Attitude Era for years. Hell, they’ve been releasing stuff about it since that era ended in around 2001. Now, in 2020, we’re seeing a change in focus with WWE releasing content about the Ruthless Aggression Era, an era that occurred in around 2003 and would last a few years. Now… the title of this article is a bit of a strange one because I don’t want you to misunderstand, there was a lot to love about this era, but… there was also a hell of a lot of bad going on too.
This, for me, was the period of wrestling that I found it the hardest to sit through. I’ve been watching pro-wrestling now for over 28 years, but never have I found it more difficult to enjoy than during this time. Sure, we had amazing performers like Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit,...

Welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and the coronavirus has got people saying stupid s—. Don’t say stupid s— just because your government’s individual shutdown is giving you license to do so. Don’t tell people to stay indoors and don’t chastise them for going outside. We’re blowing this way out of proportion, especially with all of the more volatile diseases that have already been lurking around the corner for years. AIDS doesn’t give a s— if you have coronavirus and will kill you without delay, whereas the coronavirus will, likely, just make you a bit sicker than usual and for a few more days than usual. All we should be doing is having the elderly stay in doors for a month so they can skip the heavy part of the “outbreak”. We should just...
