Netflix announced on Friday that Ready to Sell Out, its newest comedy special from Mike Epps, will premiere globally on the platform on February 20, 2024.
The special is Epps’ fourth for the platform, following Indiana Mike (2022), Only One Mike (2019) and Don’t Take It Personal (2015). In it, he ponders where all of his money has gone, in spite of a thriving career, also getting into the trials and tribulations of his relationships, and a plethora of street observations. Royale Watkins directed his new hour and exec produced alongside Epps, Mark Ritchie, Thomas Cobb, Niles Kirchner, and Kyra Epps. Southpaw Productions Inc. is the production company.

In the trailer for Mike Epps’ new Netflix stand-up special, the comedian jokes that Covid vaccines would be a lot more appealing if they were marketed — and flavored — like drinks.
“The best way to get n—s to take their shots is put it in flavors,” he says in the trailer, which dropped Thursday. “The pineapple Moderna? Watermelon Pfizer? Dude, they got the mango one coming out next month.”

On Tuesday, Netflix unveiled Plastic Cup Boyz: Laughing My Mask Off!, a new collection of stand-up specials exec produced by Kevin Hart, which will debut on the streamer on July 27.
The half-hour stand-up sets will spotlight three members of Hart’s famed comedy crew, the Plastic Cup Boyz: Joey Wells, Na’im Lynn and Spank Horton.
The collection of specials was filmed in front of a live Atlanta audience. Hart exec produced through his company HartBeat Productions. Royale Watkins directed all three specials in the collection and is also an executive producer on the project.

The Wal-Mart truck driver from Georgia accused of triggering a crash in New Jersey that critically injured Tracy Morgan and killed another comedian had not slept for more than 24 hours, a criminal complaint said.
A court official on Monday said 35-year-old Kevin Roper is scheduled to face an initial court appearance on Wednesday. He remains free after posting $50,000 bond.
Roper has been charged with death by auto and four counts of assault by auto.

Authorities said the Jonesboro, Ga., resident apparently failed to slow for traffic ahead early Saturday in Cranbury Township and swerved at the last minute to avoid a crash.
