Welcome to an all-new feature, exclusive to Lrm: The Rumor Report Card.
For this recurring feature, I'll take a look at the week's biggest rumors, analyze them, break them down a bit, and then let you know whether or not you should believe them. Since there's constantly so much floating around out there and it can be hard to sift through what's real and what's shaky, I figured you could use the input of someone who's been dealing with this stuff every day for several years.
Today, we're going to tackle a numbers of rumors that are related to films like Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Corps, Deadpool II, and the Harry Potter franchise.
We'll be using the Bochinche Scale to grade these rumors. "Bochinche" is a Spanish slang term that means "gossip." The higher the grade, the more likely you should pay attention to this Bochinche; The lower the grade,...

“Let’s grab this night by the pussy,” said Russell Crowe, exhorting the Beverly Hilton ballroom attendees at the annual American Cinematheque Ball to go out and vote on election day. Then the night’s charming master of ceremonies got down to the business at hand: tributing director Ridley Scott.
Crowe reminded us that Scott made his first feature film at 40—and showed us his delightful black and white 1962 “Boy and Bicycle” short student film, shot on a borrowed 16mm camera and starring his younger brother by six years, Tony, who also became a director.
At night’s end, when grateful “The Martian” Oscar nominee Matt Damon presented Scott, 78, with his award, Scott tracked back in time, recalling how he wasn’t a very good student, hard as he tried, and the teacher who suggested that he go to art school. Scott attended the Royal College of Art and studied film,...

Jennifer Lawrence stood up against the gender wage gap in Hollywood in an October essay for the Lenny Letter, and now she's revealing the surprising inspiration behind her powerful words. While attending a recent press conference for her film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, the actress was asked whether playing Katniss had motivated her to tackle the issue. "I don't see how I couldn't be inspired by this character," she said. "I mean I was so inspired by her when I read the books, it's the reason I wanted to play her . . . so I think it would be impossible to go four years with this character and not be inspired by her." In her essay, Jennifer admitted that she didn't speak up for a long time because she didn't want to seem "difficult" or "spoiled," adding, "When I found out how much less I was being paid than...

Bradley Cooper shared his response to Jennifer Lawrence's essay on the gender wage gap soon after it was released on Tuesday morning. During an interview with E! News alongside his Burnt costar Sienna Miller, the actor revealed that he hadn't read the piece yet, adding, "One thing I could say is that's interesting because if you think that you only deserve a certain amount and that's not correct, it's about changing that mindset and sticking up for yourself the way that Sienna did. So that's a great thing." Sienna explained that she walked away from a play she wanted to do because she "was offered less than half of what the other man was offered," and it was just the two of them. She said, "[I did] what we have to start doing, unfortunately, at the expense of our creative dreams." Jennifer wrote the piece for the Lenny Letter, a project...

Jennifer Lawrence volunteered as tribute to take on gender pay inequality, and she's getting plenty of support from her friends in Hollywood -- including one of the guys in the movie she was writing about. Jen's Lenny essay, "Why Do I Make Less Than My Male Co Stars?" seemed to single out her film "American Hustle" without ever mentioning it by name, since she wrote about settling for less than Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, and Jeremy Renner.
Bradley and Jennifer have made multiple films together, and he was one of several stars to weigh in on JLaw's essay after it was posted. While promoting "Burnt" with Sienna Miller, Bradley told E! News he hadn't yet had a chance to read Jennifer's entire essay, but he addressed the basic premise.

Jennifer Lawrence is joining the chorus of female actors criticizing the salary gap in Hollywood.
In an essay for Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter, the Oscar winner asks the question, "Why Do I Make Less Than My Male Co-Stars?" She brings up the report that she received a lower salary than Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, and Jeremy Renner on the movie "American Hustle," which was leaked during the Sony email hack.
Lawrence didn't blame Sony or the movie's producers, but pointed the finger at herself for not negotiating harder.
"I would be lying if I didn't say there was an element of wanting to be liked that influenced my decision to close the deal without a real fight," she writes. "I didn't want to seem 'difficult' or 'spoiled.'"
Lawrence joins actresses including Meryl Streep, Patricia Arquette, Geena Davis, Emma Watson, and Dunham in addressing sexism in Hollywood.

Things were in full swing at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City last night (April 21) as some of the hottest celebrities gathered for the Time 100 Most Influential People in the World shindig.
Legendary country couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were all gussied up in their red carpet finery as they posed for photos ahead of the big event.
Meanwhile, Bradley Cooper and Emma Watson mingled with the likes of Karlie Kloss and Julianne Moore, thankfully nowhere near Amy Schumer’s staged fall in front of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West!

The key to this year's red-carpet fashion was when Jennifer Lawrence fell over again. Because the smartest players, the ones who have the world at their feet – Lawrence, Lupita Nyong'o, Pharrell Williams – know that looking good on the red carpet is no longer enough. To win the red carpet in 2014, you need to upstage your outfit. After all, the photograph that these Oscars will be remembered for is not a red-carpet pose, but that mass selfie with Ellen, Bradley, Kevin and the gang. Aloof glamour just isn't box office.

I don't think I remember the Academy doing this before -- or perhaps I simply haven't paid enough attention in years past -- but the names of all 46 presenters at this Sunday's Academy Awards ceremony have been revealed. And a deep and varied list it is too. 29 of them are Oscar nominees. 14 of them are Oscar winners. One of them is Jason Sudeikis. Interestingly, nine of this year's presenters are African-American -- an unusually high number that suggests, whatever the fate of "12 Years a Slave" in the Best Picture race, that the Oscar producers wish to make a point about racial diversity in the industry. (Yes, I realize that sounds crass, but subtlety has never been the Academy's strong point. Barbra Streisand wasn't picked to present the 2009 Best Director Oscar simply to hand it over to James Cameron, after all. Then again, Harrison Ford clearly wasn't bargaining on presenting the...

Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, the producers of the 86th annual Academy Awards, announced a mega-list of actors this morning who will be handing out awards and helping to introduce segments during the March 2 ceremony.
Some have been already announced, or were winners last year, but among the 46 were some rarities — such as Sidney Poitier, Kim Novak, Bill Murray, Robert De Niro, Jim Carrey, and Harrison Ford. Others include Emma Watson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kevin Spacey, and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt…
There are too many to single out.

Pharrell Williams had his wife, Helen Lasichanh, by his side for the Elle Style Awards in London on Tuesday. While the Oscar-nominated musician was without his signature giant hat, he did pick up an honor for his standout style during the ceremony. Pharrell posed for photos with Helen, who wore a head-to-toe hot pink suit, and mingled with models Karolina Kurkova and Cara Delevingne on the red carpet. Cara seemed to have fun inside the event while hanging out with her sister, Poppy, as well as her rumored girlfriend, Michelle Rodriguez. Also on hand for the fun were award winners Lily Allen, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, rapper Tinie Tempah, and Bradley Cooper's model girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse. Emma Watson, who also took home a trophy, showed up to the bash looking as gorgeous as ever. The actress wowed in a black Giambattista Valli Couture ensemble and posed with her statue...

Scarlett Johansson is a popular movie star. Matthew McConaughey is a popular movie star. But that doesn't mean they have any chemistry together -- especially when it comes to Dolce & Gabanna's newish perfume ad for "The One."
Not only is there no sense of why these two are supposed to be "The One" for each other, but their banter actually makes it seem like they're destined for a breakup. When it comes to making sure two actors click in terms of sensuality, more brands should check out this Gucci Guilty ad with Chris Evans and Evan Rachel Wood for pointers.
But ScarJo and McConaughey are far from the only celebs to create an awful perfume ad. Check out some of the other worst ones to make it to television below.

‘Catching Fire’ box office: To surpass Iron Man 3 in North America? (photo: Sam Claflin as Finnick Odair in ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’) Thanksgiving was celebrated this past week in the United States. Although the American economy remains in a seemingly never-ending rut, Lionsgate has much to be thankful for, financially speaking: on the weekend of November 29-December 1, 2013, Francis Lawrence’s $110-130 million-budgeted The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth, added another $74.5 million from 4,163 North American locations according to studio estimates found at Box Office Mojo. Even if Lionsgate’s estimates are (once again) off by a couple of percentage points, that’s a remarkable hold for a sequel. In fact, Catching Fire was down only 53% compared to its first weekend, which included $25+ million from Thursday night and Friday midnight screenings. And let’s not forget that the Hunger Games sequel blew off...
