“Ivy and Bean” director Elissa Down gushed over working with “Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, describing him as her “spirit animal,” at the film’s premiere in Los Angeles on Monday.
“We were shooting [during] a heat wave in Canada. The set was hot, but [Jesse] wasn’t waiting in his trailer — he came straight in and he goes, ‘I’ve got a joke to pitch,'” Down told Variety on the red carpet at Harmony Gold. “He just loves improvisation and he was such a generous actor.”
Based on the children’s book series by Annie Barrows, the upcoming film trilogy follows the adventures of unlikely best friends Ivy (Keslee Blalock) and Bean (Madison Skye Validum), from hunting down ghosts to enrolling in dance lessons. Ferguson plays ballet teacher Monsieur Joy in the third installment, “Ivy and Bean: Doomed to Dance.”

The Ice Age continues but hope springs eternal, and our Arc of Humanity continues to roll along at TNT.
TNT's Snowpiercer had a rocky departure out of the station, plagued by numerous production changes and network pivots back in 2017 before finally premiering in 2020.
However, since then, it has garnered accolades and audience numbers for its exciting twists, deep character development, and incredible world-building.
Filming has just wrapped in Vancouver on Season 3 and, with it, the announcement that it has already been renewed for Season 4.
“Snowpiercer has been an incredibly successful series for us that continues to capture the imagination of viewers, grow audience and maintain strong ratings,” said Sam Linsky and Adrienne O’Riain, co-heads of scripted original programming for TBS, TNT, and truTV.

Garfield Wilson is an individual fueled by and overflowing with incredible positivity. Speaking with TV Fanatic by phone, his upbeat and open attitude to life and all its possibilities is both inspiring and invigorating.
His acting credits span the gamut of genres from science fiction procedurals like Almost Human and Continuum to the comedic This Blows and thrilling dramas like The Man in the High Castle and, recently, TNT's Snowpiercer.
But that is nowhere near the limit of his talents. He is an accomplished singer, and in 2005, he founded Forward Fitness, a physical training company with a mission to create connections to inspire change. Today, he remains the owner and an active personal trainer when his schedule allows for it.

The creative forces behind Come to Daddy clearly take delight in shocking their audience. The film, a mix of comedy, horror, and thriller, seeks to upend expectations at all turns. Sometimes they succeed, while at other times, they fall a little bit short. The end result is a unique little movie, one that aims high with its genre ambitions. If it doesn’t quite reach the intended heights, there’s still a devilish streak of wit throughout that makes it more than just a garden variety independent flick. Having been on the festival circuit for nearly a year (beginning last April at the Tribeca Film Festival), it’s finally hitting screens this weekend and is worth a look. The movie is a mix, as mentioned above, of comedy, horror, and thriller. For Norval Greenwood (Elijah Wood), life has been one full of privilege, but ultimately one lacking in happiness. Deep...

This week we are introduced to two new characters, Alice’s personal hitman, the Rifle (Garfield Wilson), and Alfred Pennyworth’s (Bruce Wayne’s butler) daughter, Julia Pennyworth (Christina Wolfe), which adds to an already deep roster of characters for the series. These new mysterious characters only add to the theme this week, which is secrets and everyone in this series seems to have them but what happens when they are revealed?
Julia has a history with Kate as it seems all of Kate’s former girlfriends eventually make it back to Gotham and back into Kate’s life. Julia is a nice addition to the series and one that hopefully returns in future episodes as she gives Kate a run for her money in terms of toughness, something the Sophie character has yet to attain.
