Played professional soccer in Brazil for Clube de Regatas do Flamengo
(1967-1983 and 1985-1989) where he won many titles including the Toyota
Cup (World Champion). He is the biggest scorer of all time in this
team.
Also played for Udinese (1983-1985) in Italy and for Kashima Antlers
(1991-1994) in Japan.
He's a big sports star in Brazil where he was Secretário Nacional de
Esportes (National Secretary of Sports) in 1990.
In 1997 he founded his own team, named "Rio de Janeiro Futebol Clube".
After he retired from soccer, he joined the brazilian national team of
beach soccer to be World Champion.
Played in 1982 and 1986 World Cups for Brazil when, although the teams
have been some of the best ever in nation, they weren't able to win
Scored 66 goals in his 88 internationals for Brazil.
Was the Japan National Soccer Team's coach between 2002-2006.
