He is world-renowned for his pioneer research of the successful
separation of conjoined twins. His work in pediatric medicine has
contributed to the development of new technologies and made him one of
the most notable African-American neurosurgeons in the United States.
He is a real life doctor, the Director of the Division of Pediatric
Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland,
USA.
His brother is an aerospace engineer.
Awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2008 by President George W. Bush.
