- For a scene in his mockumentary he allegedly walked into a pub in Britain as an Englishman--without telling the patrons he was making a comedy--and asked them in a fake English accent if any of them had been abducted by aliens. The crew was terrified that they would get beaten up. He played a rapist in a short film which screened at Columbia University. He was parodied by Joel Stein, the celebrity slayer for Time Magazine. Apparently Stein invited him and his crew to a party and then wrote that they crashed the party and harassed Roger Ebert. Ebert and Devin apparently had a nice chat and Ebert sent him photos of his crew for their website (www.showmethealiens.com)
