Jennifer carries a lucky charm with her everywhere, a necklace
her parents gave her when she was 9.
She was singing to the Pope on December 18, 1999 in 7th Annual Vatican
Christmas Concert in front of both a live and a television audience with
Tom Jones, Miriam Makeba, Alex Britti, and Amedeo Minghi. She sang a
solo and a duet with her brother Chance, "Enmanuel Has Come to Israel.".
Her song "Crush" was a huge hit in 1998.
She was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2010. She had surgeries to remove the cancer-affected areas of skin, then underwent a course of treatment.
In January 2008, her parents died 18 days apart. Her mother, Norma Scoggins, 58, died from pulmonary hypertension, then her father, Ira Scoggins, 61, died from a heart condition.
Has an older brother, singer-songwriter Chance Scoggins.
She and her husband Jason welcomed daughter Stella Sorse in October 5, 2014.
