- Additional Crew
Mustafa is a screenwriter whose journey began over a decade ago under the mentorship of eminent filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra. As a key team member on popular films like "3 Idiots", "Ferrari Ki Sawaari" and "Broken Horses", he gained invaluable experience in translating scripts to screen. He has also worked closely with acclaimed filmmaker Anubhav Sinha during the scripting and making of the film "Mulk". His most recent work is the series "Murder in Mahim", a thriller beneath which lies a deeply human story.
A realisation that he was meant to create emotional blueprints, not physical ones, led him to give up his engineering career and move to Mumbai. He started out by writing documentaries and ad campaigns for clients such as the International Olympic Committee and CNBC, before venturing into the mainstream. Among his upcoming projects are a comedy-drama series and a feature film for a prominent studio.
Originally from Dahod, a town in Gujarat, Mustafa has lived across various parts of India and abroad during his formative years. This diverse cultural exposure helps him create authentic worlds and layered characters. Adept at crafting nuanced plot-lines, his strength lies in finding rich narratives within the seemingly mundane. After all, if he found a plot twist in his routine engineering career, imagine what he can discover in the rest of the world!
