Stéphane De Groodt was born in Brussels, Belgium on March 3, 1966. He
was a professional racing driver before starting his acting career. He
was a contestant at numerous races of the Spa 24 Hours such as Formule
Renault, Formula 3000 and Porsche Supercup. He also received the title
of Champion of Belgium at the BMW Procar Championship.
He is mostly known as the creator of the series "File dans ta chambre",
a number of small episodes in which he portrays Lucien, a father who
answers of a totally absurd way the questions asked by his son about a
definition or expression. At the end of each episode, his son tells his
father that he thought it was something else, which is the real sense
or meaning. His father then orders him to go to his room because he
does not believe what his son revealed.
He then had several supporting and guest roles in many films and
television series. These include the films

in which actress
