Originally from Lawrence, MA, Jason Armani Martinez is an Afro-Latino Actor based out of NYC. Jason began his artistic journey as a child, intuitively drawn to the arts. This process naturally evolved throughout his life. His junior year of college, Jason pivoted from playing football at The University of New Hampshire to begin acting, after taking an acting class abroad in London. Shortly after graduating, Jason joined a community theatre where he grew as an artist. Simultaneously, Jason booked his first role in a studio feature film. Then, Jason realized he could pursue acting as a career and left the corporate world to follow his dream. Since then, Jason has been in multiple films, plays, and more recently a supporting lead role in 'Grown', a short film written and directed by Alfonso Morgan Terrero. Jason is continuously working on his craft, and has other lead, and supporting roles in films coming soon. More recently, Jason starred as a supporting lead role in the upcoming film, 'Aftermath' by Voltage Pictures, and a role in Cord Jefferson's Academy award winning film 'American Fiction'. Jason also has recently been chosen as one of 8 actors selected to be a part of Lena Waithe's Hillman Grad Mentorship Labs 3rd class, selected out of over 2000 auditions.
