3 Men Charged With Murdering Rapper XXXTentacion Danced WIth $100 Bills After Crime, Prosecutor Says
On June 18, 2018, in Deerfield Beach, Florida, XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jaheh Onfroy, was shot by three masked killers outside Riva Motorsports motorcycle shop and robbed.
Security camera footage from the shop showed Robert Allen and Dedrick Williams inside along with Onfroy before buying two black masks. The two left and allegedly went back to their SUV to wait for Onfroy.
When Onfroy got into his own BMW, the SUV blocked him from leaving and Trayvon Newsome and Michael Boatwright allegedly got out to demand money from Onfroy. After a brief struggle, the two masked men stole Onfroy’s Louis Vuitton bag and Onfroy’s chain. Allegedly, it was then that Boatwright went back to the SUV to grab a rifle and fired six shots to Onfroy’s neck.
During a traffic stop on June 20, Williams was recognized by the clothes he wore the day of the murder and was arrested for first-degree murder.

Lucasfilm is being taken to court by producer Karyn McCarthy, who allegedly accepted a deal to executive produce Star Wars series The Acolyte over a competing offer that would’ve made her the highest paid producer for Apple. She accuses the studio of breaching her contract in a move that deprived her of a high-profile credit on a major TV series from a competitor and, as a result, millions of dollars.
“Without explanation, without reasons, without justification, Lucasflm told McCarthy it wanted out of the deal,” reads the complaint. “By this time, the Apple offer was gone — Apple had to move on and found another executive producer for Sugar. McCarthy now had neither deal.”
Lucasfilm disputes there was a contract in place, according to the suit. It didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

“Ballers” executive producer Karyn McCarthy has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Lucasfilm for an “egregious” wrongful termination on the “Star Wars” series “The Acolyte.”
After being terminated from the Disney+ series several weeks into the job, the suit argues that the wrongful termination deprived McCarthy of “significant employment, from which she would have earned millions of dollars.”
According to the suit, obtained Wednesday by TheWrap, two weeks after McCarthy and the production company settled on an agreement, Lucasfilm notified the producer they wanted to exit the deal “without explanation, without reason [and] without justification.”

Lucasfilm has dealt with plenty of shakeups over “Star Wars” recently, but now the studio is facing a full-fledged lawsuit over their beloved franchise. Lawyers for producer Karyn McCarthy have filed a lawsuit against Lucasfilm over her axing from the upcoming Disney+ “Star Wars” show “The Acolyte,” Deadline is reporting.
According to filings obtained by Deadline and submitted to the LA Superior Court on Tuesday, McCarthy — whose former producing credits include “Ballers,” “Insecure,” and “House of Cards” — is suing for breach of contract over her dismissal from “The Acolyte,” an upcoming “Star Wars” show created by “Russian Doll’s” Leslye Headland. The specific monetary damages asked for are unclear, but the lawsuit claims that McCarthy lost out on “millions of dollars” as a result of Lucasfilm’s alleged “bad faith and wrongful termination.”

Lucasfilm, the production company home to all things “Star Wars,” has been hit with a wrongful termination lawsuit from “Ballers” executive producer Karyn McCarthy, who was axed from the Disney+ series “The Acolyte” after just a few weeks of work.
According to a complaint obtained by Variety, “As a result of its bad faith and wrongful termination, Defendants deprived Ms. McCarthy significant employment, from which she would have earned millions of dollars over the [life] of the series.”
Two weeks after Lucasfilm and McCarthy apparently settled on a “broad strokes” agreement, “without explanation, without reason, without justification, Lucasfilm told McCarthy it wanted out of the deal,” per the complaint.
McCarthy claims that boarding “The Acolyte” prevented her from taking on a “lucrative executive producer” position on the Apple series “Sugar.” According to her agent David Morris, this deal would have made McCarthy the “highest paid producer at Apple.”

A Broward County judge ruled Friday that rapper Drake, born Ashley Graham, will not be deposed by defense attorneys in the XXXTentacion murder trial due to lack of evidence of his involvement in the 2018 killing, per NBC Miami.
The judge’s decision comes several days after a defense attorney claimed process servers were rebuffed by armed guards at the rapper’s Beverly Hills mansion last week. On Monday, Drake’s lawyer Bradford Cohen had asked the court to strike an order to require Drake to sit for a deposition.
