Thunderbirds Are Go, produced by ITV Studios and Nz's Pukeko Pictures and starring (the voice of) Rosamund Pike, will launch in the Us as an Amazon Original Kids Series on Prime Video, following an exclusive, multi-year deal between Amazon and ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
The first 13 episodes will launch on Prime Video in the Us later this year, and subsequently debut on Prime Video in the UK, Germany and Austria.
The show was made in collaboration with Weta Workshop, and has been sold to the ABC in Australia as well as over forty other countries worldwide.

New Zealand.s Pukeko Pictures has signed a development deal with Chinese entertainment group, Guangdong Huawen Century Animation Company, to produce .Kiddets., a sister series to Pukeko Pictures. hit pre-school animated series, The WotWots. .
.Kiddets. is being developed as an official TV co-production under the treaty guidelines signed by New Zealand and China last year to explore as many opportunities as possible and forge closer ties with businesses in the two countries. .

The epic genre series, to be shot in Sydney, will feature an ensemble cast led by Scottish actor Iain Glen (Game of Thrones), Golden Globe nominee Frances O.Connor (The Missing), Deborah Mailman (The Sapphires), Hunter Page-Lochard (The Sapphires), Rob Collins (The Lion King) and Stef Dawson (The Hunger Games).

The ailing screen production sector is set to get a major boost with more than $80 million worth of films, TV dramas and a documentary receiving funding from Screen Australia.

The movie adaptation of the Melissa Marr novel Wicked Lovely has conjured up a second wind. Originally set up at Universal by Wild West Picture Show Productions, the project is now freed up and Wwpsp has brought in indie production house Pukeko Pictures to produce and oversee special effects, and Weta Workshop for design and physical effects. Australian script writer Craig Pearce will develop a new drama series for the UK’s FremantleMedia and Pukeko Pictures about the legend of Joan of Arc.
Pearce co-wrote original stories Moulin Rouge and Australia with writing partner Baz Luhrmann, and adapted both Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet and the forthcoming The Great Gatsby.
Adapted from New York bestseller The Maid, by Kimberly Cutter, the international production will be the first in the partnership between FremantleMedia and Pukeko Pictures, founded by Richard Taylor, head of Weta Workshop.

TORONTO -- In a MIPTV deal, Nelvana said it will co-produce the computer-generated cartoon series Jane and the Dragon with Weta Workshop, whose animators created J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth in the Lord of the Rings movie franchise and are working on the upcoming King Kong project. Nelvana, a division of Canadian broadcaster Corus Entertainment, will co-produce 26 half-hours of Jane and the Dragon, a cartoon series for 6- to 12-year-olds based on Martin Baynton's popular book series. Set in medieval times, the CGI series centers on a 13-year-old who wields a sword and shield as a member of the king's guard and has a giant green dragon in her backyard.
