She was born in East London and raised in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She began drama classes at the age of 6 and made her professional stage debut in 1997 in Benjamin Britton's Noye's Fludde before continuing her studies at the University of Cape Town where she graduated with distinction in drama and the full course with distinction.
She is an award-winning musical theatre performer who has appeared in multiple international tours on three continents, including playing Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Shirley in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Jack's Mom in Into the Woods, Trish in Kinky Boots and Kim Ravenal in Showboat.
She provides the English voice for the title character in Sudha Murty's Stories of Wit and Magic on Netflix.
She played the role of Mother Zero in Resident Evil (Netflix), Esme Smit in Desert Rose and Dorette in Recipes For Love and Murder
