Christopher A. Gray(II)
Christopher A. Gray is a screenwriter and author living in Toronto. He has experience as a writer, director, sound editor, and producer. He is best known for the critically acclaimed novel "Dark Nights," which was praised by Publishers Weekly: "Part scientific exploration, part action, part political intrigue, the combined result is a page-turner."
Gray grew up in Toronto, then attended Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. After obtaining his degree in Political Science, Gray returned to Toronto to pursue Film Studies at Ryerson University. He also attended a week-long comedy sketch writing seminar at Humber College, Etobicoke, Ontario. The course was overseen by Anne Beats, one of the original writers on Saturday Night Live.
His debut novel "Dark Nights" is a near-future exploration of what would happen if scientists were to discover the existence of a parallel universe similar to ours, made accessible with the assistance of a powerful artificial intelligence. Gray has recently completed a follow-up novel, "Dark Nights 2: Resurrection."
He has co-written the environmental conservation themed novel, "All The Big Ones Are Dead," with Howard E. Carson. In an unusual twist, two of Gray's popular characters from the "Dark Nights" series are featured prominently in this novel, which is a thriller taking place in Africa and New York City. The events happen before the world is changed by the events in "Dark Nights."
Some of his other work includes the Fantasy Romance, "Demon In A Jazz Bar," a provocative and entertaining supernatural thriller about a down on his luck software developer who falls into the wrong crowd, before finding redemption in a bar populated by people who are not quite as they seem.
