Returning with another captivating tale, Star Wars continues to be the gift that keeps on giving with The Acolyte. Despite the mixed reviews and audience reactions surrounding the yet-to-be-released show, the anticipation surrounding it remains substantial.
Carrie-Anne Moss in Disney+’s The Acolyte / Lucasfilm
Recently, cast member Carrie-Anne Moss, who portrays the role of Jedi Master Indara, drew comparisons between the series and The Matrix, hinting at a potential game-changer in the making. Only time will tell how The Acolyte will hold up.
How Did Trinity from The Matrix Universe Help Carrie-Anne Bring This Star Wars Character to Life?
In the wild universe of Star Wars, Leslye Headland’s brainchild, The Acolyte, introduces the fans to Jedi Master Indara, a force to be reckoned with. She is someone who can described in one sentence- if Trinity from The Matrix had the Force with her. Well, this is true at a very core level.

Star Wars fans get a closer look at Ahsoka Tano’s ship and other props from the upcoming Disney+ series
Star Wars: Ahsoka, the highly anticipated spin-off series from The Mandalorian, has revealed some of its props and concept art at San Diego Comic-Con. Rosario Dawson, who plays the former Jedi in the show, will reprise her role from the second season of The Mandalorian, where she made her live-action debut.
ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis was at the convention and shared some photos of Ahsoka Tano’s ship, which looks like a sleek and futuristic version of a starfighter. He also snapped some pictures of the lightsaber hilts that belong to the villains of the series, who are rumored to be members of the Sith cult known as the Nihil. The hilts have a distinctive design that resembles a crossguard, similar to Kylo Ren’s weapon in the sequel trilogy.

Part of the fun of fandom is becoming obsessed with background characters that have nothing to do with the main narrative. Star Trek fans still aren’t over the Klingon Chef from Deep Space Nine and Dune readers imagine the further adventures of minor Sardaukar warriors after the defeat on Arrakis. But no franchise has catered to its fans’ nostalgia better than Star Wars, with its emphasis on bringing back deep-cut background characters from the movies, like Ponda Baba or Bossk, in new ways.
From The Mandalorian to Obi-Wan Kenobi to Rogue One, the franchise rarely misses a beat when it comes to easter eggs, cameos, and callbacks to the saga’s past. Unsurprisingly, this trend will continue with the upcoming Disney+ series, The Acolyte.

"Star Wars" is going through what many kids go through at some point in their life: putting on an eye patch and pretending to be a pirate.
Between "The Mandalorian" and "The Bad Batch" this season, the galaxy far, far away is really focusing on its "long time ago" setting by giving us memorable new scoundrel characters who also partake in a bit of swashbuckling and treasure hunting. So it only makes sense that we now want a proper, full-on "Star Wars" version of "Pirates of the Caribbean."
Frankly, we're already getting close to that, and it cannot be a coincidence. Forget "Heir to the Empire" being adapted in "Ahsoka," forget the Old Republic being canon, if there's one thing "Star Wars" should be building towards is a "Pirates of the Outer Rim" series.
"Star Wars" has always had good characters operating outside of the law. Everyone loves Han Solo,...
