As we have reported earlier, the upcoming anime film My Oni Girl by Studio Colorido will be the newest addition to the “Netflix anime” label. This fantasy romance movie will premiere, as we have confirmed earlier, on May 24, 2024, less than a month from now, and while Netflix has already revealed a lot of information about the movie, we can now confirm that an official, proper trailer for the movie has been released, alongside a new visual.
As you might remember, the movie was announced back in 2022, but while we knew it was in the works, it wasn’t until March 2024 that more precise information was released by Netflix. This is when the earlier teaser trailer was revealed, which also confirmed the release date and some production details.

The former president spent several days this week targeting Mrs. Engoron, accusing her of posting anti-Trump content on her social media and claiming her opinion of him was evidence of bias in her husband’s rulings on Trump’s civil fraud trial in New York.

The remake of F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent classic Nosferatu (watch it Here) that’s coming our way from The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman writer/director Robert Eggers was first announced back in 2015. The project finally went into production earlier this year and wrapped six months ago… but if you were hoping to see Eggers’ Nosferatu sometime in the next few months, we have some disappointing news to share today. The movie is still a year away. Focus Features has announced that they’ll be giving Nosferatu a theatrical release on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, “making it a prime holiday season release.”
An unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the original Nosferatu has the following synopsis: In this highly influential silent horror film, the mysterious Count Orlok (Max Schreck) summons Thomas Hutter (Gustav von Wangenheim) to his remote Transylvanian castle in the mountains. The eerie Orlok seeks to buy a...

This article contains spoilers for Loki season 2, WandaVision, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Trying to understand how time and the multiverse work in Marvel after Loki season 2 is headache-inducing, even for someone who has kept up with the MCU since its creation. Each project has had its own methods and means for introducing new characters and worlds from outside of the “Sacred Timeline,” but the season 2 finale sees them all come together somewhat as Loki (Tom Hiddleston) takes control of the Temporal Loom and its branches, forming a multiversal Yggdrasil.
But because Tva exists in a realm outside of time, it’s not clear when this climactic moment takes place in comparison to the events of WandaVision, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and now The Marvels. Does Loki become the guardian of the timeline before all of these multiversal stories? After?...

A classic film that not only endures but continues to inspire half a century later is a true marvel. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, The Wicker Man helped popularize the folk horror genre that continues to flourish with the likes of Midsommar, The Witch, and The Ritual. Its impact extends beyond cinema, from inspiring Radiohead (“Burn the Witch”) and Iron Maiden (“The Wicker Man”) songs to being included in the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony.
In the film, Sergeant Neil Howie travels from the mainland to the Scottish island of Summerisle to investigate the disappearance of a young girl. The devout Christian is appalled to learn that the islanders practice a form of paganism characterized by blasphemous beliefs, degeneracy, doublespeak, and peculiar customs. Like The Bride of Frankenstein, the namesake doesn’t show up until the final moments of the film, but it leaves an indelible impression long after the credits roll.

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: Ahsoka" episode 8 — "The Jedi, The Witch, and the Warlord."
Well, the season finale of "Ahsoka" is somehow already here, and it definitely left us wanting more. That's not to say that episode 8, "The Jedi, The Witch and The Warlord," was lackluster or anticlimactic, necessarily. There was plenty of action and intrigue as Ahsoka teamed up with Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren on the planet Peridea to try and prevent Thrawn and his army of death troopers from escaping out of exile. Now that Thrawn has finally been introduced into live-action after appearing in "Star Wars Rebels" and multiple novels by Timothy Zahn, he was finally given the spotlight he truly deserves. Then, the credits rolled.
As the last few minutes of the finale came to pass, multiple threads popped up that were all incredibly compelling, suggesting that there is much more to come.

Like the Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Elizabeth Olsen wants to break free of the binds tying her to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She’s portrayed Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) since 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, with little time to explore her career outside of tights, magic spells, and breaking the Sokovia Accords. Variety is the spice of life and, in some cases, what makes an actor’s journey varied and fulfilling. Speaking with The Times of London ahead of the SAG-AFTRA strike, Olsen expressed her MCU gratitude but said she’s hoping to expand her horizons beyond supervillains and thumbing through pages of the Darkhold.
“I’m trying to figure out… Because, specifically in the last four years, my output has been Marvel,” Olsen said. “I don’t want… it’s not that I don’t want to be associated as just this character.

Judge Tanya Chutkan ruled Monday that Trump’s D.C.-based election meddling trial will begin on March 4, 2024, the day before key primary elections take place on Super Tuesday. The ruling moves the trial back several months from the Justice Department’s original date request, but far before the Trump team’s bid to delay the trial several years.
“You’re not going to get two more years. This case is not going to trial in 2026,” Chutkan told Trump’s attorneys.

Melissa Joan Hart revealed that she was almost fired from “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” because of a racy photo shoot with Maxim magazine in 1999, in which the actor posed in her underwear.
As a guest on “Pod Meets World,” a “Boy Meets World” rewatch podcast, Hart said she found out she was “being sued and fired” from “Sabrina” while at a Hollywood party during the “worst day of my life.”
Show producer Archie Comics responded to Hart’s comments in a statement to Variety, writing: “Archie Comics knows nothing and has heard nothing about this, and it was decades before the current administration at Archie. It’s ancient history.”
“While I’m at the party, my lawyer shows up and goes, ‘You did a photo shoot for Maxim magazine?'” Hart said on the podcast (via EW). “I’m like, ‘Yes, I did.’ They’re like, ‘Well, you’re being...

Nicholas Hoult can be seen on the big screen in this weekend’s Dracula horror comedy Renfield (read our review Here), where he plays the title character – and since making that film, he has also been hard at work on another vampire movie: writer/director Robert Eggers‘ remake of F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent classic Nosferatu (watch it Here). Speaking with Total Film, Hoult said he was convinced to take a role in Eggers’ Nosferatu because he believes the film will be “really special”.
Hoult told Total Film, “Rob has wanted to make Nosferatu since he was eight years old and he did a play of it as well when he was in high school, so it’s been a passion project of his for a long time. Honestly, I wasn’t looking to go back into the vampire world again, but his style and tone are just so completely the...

We're constantly reporting about actors making the jump from iconic franchise to iconic franchise all the time, especially when it comes to going from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the DC Extended Universe (now just the DC Universe). However, when it comes to Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, he has taken it to a whole new level. Not only is the star known for his roles in "The Handmaid's Tale" and "The Get Down," he also portrayed horror legend Candyman, Morpheus from "The Matrix," Watchmen member Dr. Manhattan, and Aquaman villain Black Manta in both 2018's "Aquaman" and the 2023 sequel "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" opposite Jason Momoa. But now he's set to add a credit from the House of Ideas as he has signed on to play Wonder Man in the upcoming Marvel Studios series on Disney+.
According to Deadline, Abdul-Mateen will play the lead in the recently announced "Wonder Man" show.

You’ve been waiting for Stripe to show up in MultiVersus. And now that day’s finally arrived. The antagonist from Gremlins is the latest character to join the free-to-play platform fighter developed by Player First Games, and comes complete with a new trailer showing off his gameplay.
Classified as an Assassin class character with a moveset that “highlights his unruly and rambunctious nature”, Stripe’s abilities in MultiVersus involve his claw attacks, as well as a buzzsaw blade, chainsaw, dynamite and even a skateboard. Much like Gizmo, Stripe can briefly attach himself to opponents to avoid hits and cause damage of his own. The Combat Stripe character variant is available now for in-game purchase.
And seeing as its that time of year, MultiVersus also has a Halloween 2022 Update available now, which includes the “Monster Mash” in-game event, allowing players to participate in matches and earn “candy” in exchange for rewards.

The shadows of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are pooling together, forming a new corner in this ever-expanding franchise. It’s populated not by brightly colored costumed heroes who can stand in the spotlight as Avengers, or villains who demand the world’s attention, but by monsters rendered in every shade of grey, forced to navigate a black and white world. While Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cracked the door open to Marvel Studios horror, Michael Giacchino’s Werewolf by Night, a 53-minute entry billed as a “Marvel Special Presentation,” blows that door off its hinges and fully immerses audiences in a world that has long existed on the fringes, even within the realm of Marvel publishing. 50 years ago, Marvel Comics changed their universe by welcoming horror into its midst. And now, 50 years later, it’s happening again on the film and television side.

Wanda Maximoff has been through a whole lot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. From her first appearance in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" where she lost her brother, to being a part of the events that led to the superhuman schism in "Captain America: Civil War," to losing the love of her life when Thanos murdered Vision in "Avengers: Infinity War," it's been traumatic event followed by traumatic event for this young woman from Sokovia. By the time we catch up with her in "WandaVision," it's nice to see that she was able to work through some things by the end. That is, until she started looking into the Darkhold and unlocking the her full powers as the Scarlet Witch.

Less than two months since Evil Dead: The Game’s most significant update, Saber Interactive has already implemented its next large-scale patch earlier this month. In addition to some quality of life improvements (including a much needed Map Selection feature for Exploration Mode), a handful of characters have also been added: survivors Mia and David from Evil Dead (2013), and the all new Plaguebringer demon class led by the iconic Witch from Army of Darkness.
Mia and David have been added to the Warrior and Support classes respectively, with both characters’ perks being centered around fear and disrupting the killers’ attack methods. As the game’s first woman Warrior, Mia succeeds most as a disruptive tank that can become impervious to possession and help restore order during ambushes. However, her ability is a bit of a gambit–while activated, her fear meter will continue to increase and cannot be decreased.
