Once a show becomes popular, there are many celebrities who want to be a part of the story and have a cameo. Quinta Brunson, the creator of The Abbott Elementary, once shared that she has a long list of people who have contacted her hoping to be involved in the story in some way.
Heartstopper, originally created by Alice Oseman as a graphic novel and then adapted into a series, is probably no exception. Judging by the story of Jonathan Bailey, who was extremely happy to get his guest role in the show, there must be a long line of celebrities who want to do the same.

Jonathan Bailey was so blown away by “Heartstopper” that he just knew he had to be on the show.
“Like so many people, I watched the first [season] and thought it was one of the biggest, most beautiful gifts to so many people, and I wish I had that growing up,” the “Fellow Travelers” and “Bridgerton” star told me at the Met Gala Monday night.
It was announced in late April that Bailey will make a cameo appearance as Jack Maddox, an Instagram-famous classicist and celebrity crush of Charlie (Joe Locke). “I had a mutual friend who knows [executive producer Patrick Walters] and I just said, ‘If there’s anything I could do to help and be a part of that story,’” Bailey recalled.
He said that the series, based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novel series of the same name, “really has changed the way people could grow and communicate around who they are.

Heartstopper Season 3 is poised to tie up the loose ends of Season 2, which ended with several unanswered questions. The Netflix series based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novel and webcomic of the same title premiered in April 2022. Upon its release, the coming-of-age romantic dramedy received rave reviews for its unique queer love story. It ranked among the most-watched British titles on Netflix, pulling massive viewership numbers from countries like Saudi Arabia, Sir Lanka, and Lebanon, where same-sex relationships are illegal. Beyond avoiding an oversexualized depiction of LGBT people, Heartstopper’s appeal extends to its paced, heartwarming love story. For

Oh, Captain, my Captain! Hayley Atwell is joining the cast of Netflix’s Heartstopper, and she’s bringing Jonathan Bailey and Eddie Marsan along for the ride.

Netflix announced today that Season 3 of Heartstopper will premiere in October.
The eight-episode third season will focus on the continuation and deepening of Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick’s (Kit Connor) relationship.
“Season 2 ended with Nick beginning to understand the extent of Charlie’s mental health issues, and it’s this that will drive the story through Season 3,” series creator Alice Oseman Oseman told Netflix’s Tudum. “While Heartstopper will always celebrate the joyful and point towards hope, I’m really excited that we are allowing the tone of the show to mature alongside our beloved characters growing up. Mental health, sex, university ambitions, and more: Nick, Charlie, and the Heartstopper teens are getting older, learning more about themselves and each other, and experiencing new desires, new fears, and new joys as they approach adulthood.”
In Season 3, per the official logline: “Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him.

Heartstopper has found its Michael Holden and Darragh Hand will be portraying the character in Season 3 of the Netflix series.
Creator Alice Oseman shares on social media that the character of Michael is one of the main characters of her first novel titled Solitaire.
“So I was very nervous and excited to begin the search for our Michael,” Oseman shared on Instagram.
The author of the Heartstopper graphic novels describes Michael as a “quirky, eccentric optimist with a sunshine disposition.” Oseman says it was challenging casting Michael and finding an actor that channeled the vision she had for the character in the books.
“But then Darragh came along and warmed our hearts, made us all laugh so much, and perfectly complimented Jenny Walser’s Tori Spring. I can’t wait for you to meet Michael in season 3!” she added.

“Sex Education” was never about the sex.
Ever since its 2018 debut, Netflix’s raunchy teen comedy was first, foremost, and unflinchingly about friendship, love, and self-discovery. Otis’ journey (Asa Butterfield) in Season 1 is not sexual exploration with partners, but of unblocking his own difficulty with masturbation and finding his calling as the school’s sex therapist. Everything that came after (pun intended) — for all the characters, including the adults — followed suit.
The show spotlighted queer love from the start, with the out and proud Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), Otis’ best friend. Trials faced by Eric and the show’s growing cast of queer characters started with the familiar — daily homophobia, the anxiety of coming out — and went on to address more nuanced issues, like how different queer people understand each other, gender dysphoria, religion. The show’s fourth and final season sees a handful of previous regulars now attending the spectacularly queer Cavendish College,...

If you wish the third season of Heartstopper would come out now, you're not alone.
Heartstopper Season 2 Episode 8 left us with one of the sweetest cliffhangers we have ever seen, and if you weren't kicking your feet in the air as Charlie typed those words on his phone, were you watching the same show and, more importantly, are you okay?
We were almost guaranteed to get a third season of the show. Now, the most challenging part is the waiting period.
We have compiled all the information you need about the season as we await the release to tide you over.
Once it comes out, we will update this post with new information, so you might want to bookmark it.
Will There Be a Third Season of Heartstopper?
We could have answered this question in the affirmative one year ago because a show rarely gets renewed for multiple seasons after the freshman has premiered.

The title track, ‘Quarter Life Crisis’, stemmed from a conversation Baby Queen – aka 25 year old Bella Latham – had with her cousin’s girlfriend. “I felt like I had so much responsibility, but I still felt like a child. I was talking about how I felt, and she said the phrase, quarter life crisis.” Baby Queen looked up the phrase and felt validated, “People have this experience where you’re looking both forward and back. It’s the realization that actually, you can’t f#ck around anymore. F#cking around finally comes to an end.”
So, in songwriter Max Wolfgang’s flat, the pair wrote the song together. It has, what Bella calls, “a creepy nursery rhyme vibe”, both catchy and foreboding. “I feel like my mind is 25-sided / I’ll let you know if I ever survive this,” she sings prophetically.

This article contains spoilers for Heartstopper season 2.
Netflix’s second season of Heartstopper is breaking viewership records for LGBTQ+ programming, transcending the typical queer audience it would be expected to garner. Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring’s (Joe Locke) deeply romantic teenage fling started to blossom into a real relationship in season 2, and with that development came discussions around coming out, eating disorders, communication, and sexual consent. The series has a unique way of painting every scenario gold that could possibly trouble its characters.
Heartstopper’s eternal queer ecstasy is an absolute Godsend for the LGBTQ+ community, allowing young viewers to see a bright light of possibility and potential for their adolescent romantic prospects and on into adulthood. The third episode of Heartstopper's swoony second season features a moment of deeply romantic nostalgia, and improbably, given everything that happens in the rest of the season, it doesn't involve kissing. After Tao (William Gao) finally works up the nerve to ask Elle (Yasmin Finney) on a date, he chooses the most archetypal of date-night plans: a trip to the cinema.
This setup fits perfectly within Heartstopper's bubble of romantic fantasy, and also turns out to be the most culturally on-the-pulse moment of the entire season. With the twin releases of Barbie and Oppenheimer turning a trip to the movies into a social event in a way it hasn't been for a long time, Heartstopper is part of the zeitgeist in a way creator Alice Oseman likely never anticipated. Suddenly, one of TV's most Gen Z-centric shows is contributing to the culture's renewed zeal for a night at the movies.

Kit Connor is best known for playing Nick in the LGBTQ+ Netflix rom-com series "Heartstopper," which follows teens as they navigate their way through school, their feelings, and their sexualities. While the series itself spotlights LGBTQ+ characters in a beautifully authentic way - giving many of them ample space to come out in their own time - the compassionate messaging behind the show appeared to have been lost on many when Connor was seemingly bullied into announcing his bisexuality.
In a tweet shared late on Oct. 31, 2022, the "Rocketman" star announced that he is bisexual, but he added that he felt forced to come out after being harassed by fans. "back for a minute. i'm bi," the actor wrote. "congrats for forcing an 18 year old to out himself. i think some of you missed the point of the show. bye."

Sometimes it is easy to get sidetracked by the nastiness of the world. We forget the good things life has to offer.
What sets Heartstopper apart in the queer media niche is its focus on queer joy. In creating a Heartstopper, spreading a message of queer optimism was at the forefront of Alice Oseman's mind.

Before we get started, I should probably mention in the interest of full disclosure that I am a Heartstopper superfan. It is my happy place. My family has watched Season 1 more times than we can count and can quote almost all of it verbatim. The Season 2 finale of Netflix’s Heartstopper is aptly titled: “Perfect.” Although in some ways, the episode drops the Truham-Higgs gang into a best of times/worst of times scenario, creator Alice Oseman, on whose graphic novels the series is based, not only sticks the landing but beautifully sets the stage for takeoff on Season 3. (You’ll recall that, after seeing how rapturously received Season 1 was, Netflix gave it a two-season pickup.) So what actually happens? Read on…

Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman has been credited for creating a screen world where many young gay people can see themselves represented.
And in the second season, she has written from an even more personal perspective, including the coming-out of a character as asexual.
Oseman told the BBC’s Newsbeat that she identifies herself as asexual and aromantic, someone who doesn’t feel sexual attraction to anyone regardless of gender, and doesn’t feel romantic connections.
Oseman said:
“I’m 28 now and I didn’t even really learn about those terms until I was at university. And honestly, I didn’t really understand them until even later than that. I feel like asexuality and aromanticism are identities that are not known about by a lot of people. I wanted to bring that representation into the mainstream.

Not everyone chooses what to watch based on their emotions, but Netflix’s “Heartstopper,” a rare, feel-good queer love story from creator and writer Alice Oseman, deserves plenty of attention.
The romantic coming-of-age series, which is based on Oseman’s webcomic-turned-graphic novel, stars Joe Locke as Charlie, a young gay teen who falls for Nick (Kit Connor), a popular, rugby-playing classmate. The first season, which debuted on the streaming service in spring 2022, followed the teens’ meet cute and burgeoning relationship as they grew closer and Nick slowly discovered his bisexuality. The highly anticipated 10-episode second season, which is now streaming, is an excellent follow-up that continues Nick’s personal journey of coming out, while also exploring the lives of the couple’s equally endearing friends. A well-crafted, heartfelt show that almost single-handedly does more for LGBTQ+ representation than 10 other shows combined, “Heartstopper” is the awards contender to watch this weekend.

Season 2 of young adult romance “Heartstopper” has arrived on Netflix, accompanied by a soundtrack filled with pop and rock. Adapted from Alice Oseman’s graphic novels, the new season continues the cute, queer, colorful and cartoon-embellished story.
Now that they are boyfriends, Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) face the nuanced challenges of Nick’s decision to come out to his family and friends. Elle Argent (Yasmin Finney) and Tao Xu (William Gao) fight their own butterflies. Tara Jones (Corinna Brown) and Darcy Olsson (Kizzy Edgell) are back with their relationship road bumps — and let’s not forget our favorite bookworm, Isaac Henderson (Tobie Donovan).
The first episode kicks off on a solid note with Maggie Rogers’ “Shatter” and Fitz and the Tantrums’ “Out of My League.” The 1975’s “The Sound” uplifts episode three after a stressful round of testing for the Year 11 students. Taylor Swift’s...
