Josh Gaffga was born in Princeton, New Jersey, to George and Gigi
Gaffga. After a short stint in Jersey, he moved to Mattituck, Long
Island. Along with his two brothers, Jamie and Chris, he attended
Mattituck High School. Josh ventured to North Carolina, where he
attended Davidson College in Davidson. There he fell in love with
theatre and acting with the help of his mentor, Ann Marie Costa and
others in the college theatre department.
Josh spent the five years after college acting in regional theatre in
Charlotte. Roles included Biff in "Death of a Salesman," Picasso in
"Picasso at the Lapin Agile," Lenny in "Of Mice and Men" and Hal in
"Proof".
While in the south, he also started acting in film and video, starring
in a Christian film,
Late One Night (2001) and the
television series,
7th Street Theater (2007)
and then appearing in "Doc Kom's Surf Shop" (with Bobbie Garn and Billy
Graham's World Wide Pictures).
Josh then moved to Denver where he performed in the Denver Center
Theatre Company and was featured in "6 Minute Reverie", a film by Julie
Dibiase. He also starred in Max Coyote Nova's "The Shaman's
Apprentice".
