Chris Pratt voices the famous tabby cat Garfield, in a brand new animation. Here’s our The Garfield Movie review.
The 24th of May in the year of 2024 will be a lovely day. If 2023 was all about Barbenheimer – the weird, but wonderful combination of Barbie and Oppenheimer – 2024 is the year of… Garfuriosa.
We’ll work on the title, but The Garfield Movie and Furiosa, two very different films, are arriving in cinemas on the same day. The Garfield Movie, Mark Dindal’s family-friendly animated adventure may have fewer cars, less action and no fake noses, but there’s much to enjoy here, especially for the kiddos.
Naturally, the film follows the titular tabby (and a little tubby) cat, Garfield, talking in the voice of Chris Pratt here. He is abandoned by his father Vic (Samuel L Jackson) as a kitten, but he spies a lonely human, Jon (Nicholas Hoult) across the street,...

Did the conclusion of Carina's lawsuit underwhelm you?
Ellie: Honestly, no. I didn't know much about that storyline because I thought it would be forgotten after one episode. However, with how it ended in the episode, it just felt like an unnecessary storyline from the beginning, so it was a waste of time.
Haley: It was similar to how the same storyline with Addison on Private Practice played out. What was the point of recycling that material?

The Chi’s Emmett is a smooth talker, as he himself notes in this week’s midseason premiere. “I’ve got the gift of gab,” he confidently tells Jada and Darnell. “With women, not criminals!” his mother shoots back. It’s an important point, given the conversation that Emmett thinks he’s ready for by the end of the episode. (Spoiler alert: He has no idea how much worse things can get.)
And that’s really saying something, given that Emmett was already at a lifetime low, having just botched a murder attempt on the high-powered gangster who runs the South Side of Chicago.

“Shelter In Place. Wait Further Instructions” Watch The Scary New Trailer For A Quiet Place: Day One
“It’s the end of days. No more people.” It’s time once again to stay totally silent and totally still in the cinema when you go to see A Quiet Place: Day One. Just as audiences did in 2018 when director John Krasinski unleashed his horror film A Quiet Place on an unsuspecting public, everyone in the theater went dead quiet so as to not give away the Abbott family’s hiding places.
A Quiet Place: Part II showed the aftermath of the deadly events at home and the new terrors the family faced in the outside world. The sequel starred Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Djimon Hounsou and John Krasinski. From the opening moments of the film, the family was on the run, beyond any semblance of security and searching for refuge in a town gone mad with fear. In a time when empathy and connection...

The Effect — a new rock band featuring drummer Nic Collins (son of Genesis’ Phil Collins) and guitarist Trev Lukather (son of Toto’s Steve Lukather) — have unveiled the single “Toxic Envy.” The song is the opening track to their self-titled album, set for release later this year.
The Los Angeles-based band, which is rounded out by newcomer singer Emmett Stang and keyboardist Steve Maggiora (a current touring member of Toto), previously introduced itself last year with the songs “Unwanted” and “Something Wrong.”
“Toxic Envy” is a hard-rocking tune with a soaring chorus that calls to mind ’80s arena rock. “’Toxic Envy’ is probably the most hard-rock tune on the record,” said Nic Collins. “And it’s definitely my favorite drum song on the record too. They didn't waste any time delving into the thick of it on Station 19 Season 7 Episode 1, and if it's one thing the premiere did, it reminds us how special this series is and how upsetting it is that we're losing it.
While the fight is still ongoing for many viewers to save the series, until then, it's evident they will take us on an emotional rollercoaster of a ride for this final season.
With Jack's life in peril and his career in the balance, Dixon's death bringing Emmett back into our orbit, and Andy grappling with her first day as chief happening while her best friend was fighting for his life, the hour was intense.
When you consider all that, Theo thriving in his f*ckboy era after canoodling with chaotic Kate in the coat room during Station 19 Season 6 Episode 18 was small potatoes.

Note: This story contains spoilers from the “Station 19” Season 7 premiere.
The seventh and final season premiere of “Station 19” revealed the fate of beloved firefighter Jack Gibson after he collapsed during the tragic accident at the firefighter’s ball in the previous finale. After performing emergency surgery and saving his life, Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) broke the news to newly-promoted captain Andy Herrera (Jaina Lee Ortiz) that her friend and colleague sustained a life-altering brain injury that will bench him from field work permanently.
The episode, titled “This Woman’s Work,” ended with Jack waking up after surgery and congratulating Andy on her promotion — and asking when he would be back on duty.
New “Station 19” showrunners Peter Paige and Zoanne Clack — taking over after Krista Vernoff’s exit last season — teased that the twist doesn’t mean Jack (Grey Damon) will exit the series, but his journey...

Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points from the Station 19 Season 7 premiere.
Station 19 returned tonight, airing the Season 7 premiere titled “This Woman’s Work,” and as everyone knows, this will be the final season of the firefighter drama created by Stacy McKee.
As sad as that is, let’s look at the positives, shall we? There are nine episodes left after the premiere, and there’s a whole journey ahead of us — and it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
Speaking of bumpy, Jack (Grey Damon) is in a really bad way as the episode opens with him in surgery. Andie (Jaine Lee Ortiz) — on her first official day as Captain — of course is there with him when Grey Sloane’s Amelia Shepard (Caterina Scorsone) steps out to share an update, and the news is good overall. Even the most powerful fires burn out eventually.
And unfortunately, to our immense displeasure, that's exactly what's happening with the fan-favorite series, Station 19.
News of Station 19's cancelation hasn't gone over well, in the least, as the devoted fanbase is still putting up a good fight and making their case for the series to get picked up somewhere, anywhere else.
If you haven't already made your voice heard and participated in #SaveStation19 or signed the petition, you can find it here.
Whether it proves fruitful or not, as bittersweet as it is, we can still show up and show out for the final season of this series as of now.
Every little bit counts!
And from everything expected from Staton 19 Season 7 Episode 1, we're in store for one hell of a ride.

There's a reason why "Yellowstone" feels as authentic as it does. For all the backstabbing, fistfights, and unchecked greed on display that make the show seem so outlandish at times, the countless scenes showing everyday life on a fully functioning Montana cattle ranch are meticulously researched and crafted. There is some true cowboying on display and all of the actors have had to endure an outdoor boot camp before the start of each season. There are even a few real-life cowboys featured throughout the series, including actor and "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan who plays the recurring role of rodeo rider and horse trader Travis Wheatley. Actor Forrie J. Smith, who plays the handlebar mustache-sporting old-timer Lloyd Pierce, also grew up competing in rodeos before trying his hand at stunt work and horse wrangling for the movies.

Sadness descended over Chicago after a community pillar met an unfortunate end to his life, and the reactions varied.

Mother, May I? has lots of themes it wants to explore, ranging from childhood traumas and poor parenting to adult relationship dynamics and the turbulent artistic path. Through the two characters Emmett and Anya that Laurence Vanicelli created, most of these themes are nicely explored, but a question is also raised: is it always a good thing to confront repressed and deeply traumatic emotions? In Mother, May I?, whose title immediately evokes the act of asking for permission and hence is related to authoritative and disciplinary actions, there is an investigation of parental roles and the effect they have on one’s life.
Emmett loses his mother, who abandoned him in his childhood, and now he has to visit her house in order to sell it. His mother was a dancer, a creative person lost in the pursuit of artistic excellence, and Emmett’s fiancé is also related to that same domain.

There’s an intense foreboding in Laurence Vannicelli’s horror film. As soon as Mother, May I? begins, we feel something’s not right. With just a handful of characters, the film is at once a psychological horror film as well as a ‘chamber drama’ of sorts, as it peels back the layers of the characters to such an extent that we are left wondering who these people are. There are two primary characters in Mother, May I?: Emmett and Anya. Through the interplay of the characters’ complex psychological makeup, Vannicelli, who also wrote this film, tries to make a point about relationships and how we never really heal from our childhood traumas. They shape us and then leave us with the illusion that we are in charge of our own lives. Both Emmett and Anya are open to the idea of facing their problems and overcoming them to be loving partners,...

Directed by Laurence Vannicelli, the movie creates a web of psychological tension that keeps us engaged and intrigued throughout the film. With its clever storytelling, it dives into the intricate bond between mothers and children and also shows how society’s expectations can influence women’s choices about becoming mothers. Every season of The Chi feels like the show has reinvented itself, keeping the same drift but with different strokes.
The Chi Season 6 Episode 1 caught us up with where everyone was emotionally, economically, and of course, romantically.
The cold open felt like a flashback as we met Keisha and Emmett in a familiar position where they still liked some morning glory action, but instead of Jada interrupting them, their choices did.
The focus of the hour was Emmett, Douda, and their new partnership, which everyone who learned about it knew it was a bad idea.
A city grows and changes in two ways.
One is when or if there's a boom in immigration, it gets pumped with new ideas and money.
The other way is when the children grow up. And the children we met on The Chi Season 1 were grown up.
"New Chi City" did not hold back...
