- Celia Rose Gooding was about one and a half (and her mother, LaChanze, was eight months pregnant with her younger sister, Zaya) when Celia's father (LaChanze's husband, Cantor Fitzgerald securities trader Calvin Gooding) was killed in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
- Celia Rose Gooding and her mother, the Tony-winning Broadway star LaChanze, are the first mother and daughter in history to perform on Broadway simultaneously. In December 2019, LaChanze was in A Christmas Carol while Celia was in Jagged Little Pill.
- In 2021 she won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
