On Wednesday’s 10th episode of “Survivor 46,” the final eight players felt a “calm” around camp heading into the next tribal council, all seemingly aligned in a movement to target one player unanimously. But for the fourth straight vote, a blindside was afoot and Tiffany Nicole Ervin was sent to the jury with her publicly acknowledged hidden idol in her pocket. Read on for Tiffany’s “Survivor 46” exit interview from the end of the episode.
In the new era of the game, players are much less bothered when they are voted out by surprise and Tiffany is no different. In her Q&a, she said, “I’m not going to sit up here and pretend that I’m happy that I just got blindsided, but if there’s any way to go out on ‘Survivor,’ it’s a blindside.” Tiffany has known the threat her idol played to the rest...

The 12 remaining castaways may have earned the merge, but Survivor’s new era slows down for no one.
In Wednesday’s episode, the post-merge double elimination raged like a cyclone, blowing down tribal alliances and wreaking havoc on the cast’s mental state. Despite the fact that Siga lost Moriah last week, their tight bonds still threaten a bickering Nami which continues to ask: “How do you solve a problem like Maria Venus?”

Survivor 46 has a dramatic night in store for the first post-merge episode.
Moriah Gaynor was eliminated before the Survivor 46 castaways united as one tribe. She became the final person sent home before the merge.
She was the second straight person from Siga who got sent packing, as she joined Jem Hussain-Adams, who failed to make the jury stage.
Only 12 people remain in contention for the $1 million prize when Survivor 46, Episode 7 begins.
People are suspicious of the rogue vote that resulted in Moriah’s Tribal Council elimination.
Charlie Davis was the person who didn’t vote for Moriah. Here’s Charlie’s explanation for why he voted for Venus Vafa.

The tribes converged – though didn’t officially merge – at the start of last week’s episode of “Survivor 46,” resulting in a race against time for one castaway to find an idol, and the standard immunity challenge making half the members safe, complicating the impending vote. And where do players now stand now that they are all on one beach? Let’s break down Season 46 Episode 6, “Cancel Christmas,” as the three individual tribes are no more.
After the shocking blindside of Jemila “Jem” Hussain-Adams on the Siga tribe, Moriah Gaynor felt on the outs as she was the only one who didn’t vote for her, but Siga agreed to put on a united front when the tribes came together for the strategic longevity of all of them, given that it is likely that their five will be going up against the quintet of Nami, leaving the threesome of Yanu in the middle.

A new deleted scene from Survivor 46, Episode 6 has been revealed. The episode featured the Merge Challenge and Moriah Gaynor getting voted out.
As Survivor fans already saw, Moriah became a sacrificial lamb from the Siga Tribe after all Yanu Tribe members earned safety.
The unbalanced teams teased a one-sided Merge Challenge, but the underdog team nearly pulled it off. If not for the puzzle prowess of Hunter McKnight, the results may have been different.
But additional footage from the episode hit the cutting room floor. If the episode had been two hours, viewers could have seen more discussions at the Merge Feast and back at camp with the losing team.
The main focus of those scenes (during the episode) was deciding who would be targeted at the upcoming Tribal Council. It was an extensive discussion, with Nami and Siga each asked to nominate someone to vote out.

Survivor 46 finally reached the phase where players had to “earn the merge.”
The new episode began with the three tribes receiving important Tree Mail indicating it was time to drop their buffs.
As Survivor fans know, this is when a tribe swap or merge takes place. And since they were past the point of doing a tribe swap (it didn’t happen this season), everyone knew what was next.
The three surviving members of the Yanu Tribe had some new life but were outnumbered. Siga and Nami each had five people who had made it to Merge Day.
Before meeting Jeff Probst, Yanu and Siga got in boats to head to the Nami beach. But at Nami, Hunter scrambled to find the key to his Hidden Immunity Idol box. The producers ramped up the drama, but Hunter found it just in time.

Starting this recap with some sort of “Drop Your Buffs!” spin was one option for Survivor’s big “mergatory” episode, but I became wildly distracted by the fact that Tiffany named her hidden immunity idol. We know Yanu has been short a few members for a while, but I don’t think the idol counts as a full-fledged castaway! Yet still, it’s nice to see Tiffany and her new friend forming such a strong bond. It is a social game, after all.

We finally have an instance of another tribe that isn’t Yanu attending tribal council in the fifth episode of “Survivor 46,” and it was a doozy. But there is still brewing tension within that purple tribe of three, along with one player losing his vote for potentially the next two tribal councils, and a risky, long-winded move that finally comes back to bite another player (or does it?). With “Tiki Man” ending in a shocking blindside, let’s break down all of the tribe dynamics and alliances before we head into the coalescing of the remaining players as shown in next week’s preview.
After 11 days, Yanu finally catches a break, winning their first immunity challenge (and their flint) and avoiding setting another record for the most immunity losses in the new era, as referenced by Jeff Probst himself. But it will be interesting to see whether they stick together...

Survivor 46 has seen one tribe get severely punished for losing challenges, and it won’t lead to a change in the format.
Host Jeff Probst is keen on “penalties for losing” challenges, which he noted during a new episode of his On Fire podcast.
During the March 27 episode of Survivor 46, Yanu Tribe was shown struggling in Fiji.
Yanu lost the first four Immunity Challenges, earning a date with Jeff at Tribal Council each time. They got a small reprieve when Randen had to be medically evacuated.
Due to all those losses, Yanu had to vote out Jelinksy, Jess, and Bhanu. Some Survivor fans might not see that as a big loss to the tribe, as those three individuals never really fit in with everyone else.
In her exit interview, Jess said Survivor was “torture” for her. And in his exit interview, Bhanu blamed his tribe for not having “empathy” toward him.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Survivor Season 46 Episode 5, “Tiki Man.”] Do you hear that? That’s the sigh of relief I just let out watching Yanu finally win its first Immunity Challenge. Thank goodness that team caught a break; I don’t know if I could have watched another depressing Yanu Tribal Council. With Yanu out of the woods, Survivor 46 could finally focus more time on other teams, revealing their strengths and weaknesses. Nami is still undefeated, but Hunter is looking more and more like an all-around great player. Venus is still struggling with her social game, and her strategy of boldness isn’t helping her make friends. Siga, the only team not to lose a player this season so far (Nami lost Randen to a medical emergency in Episode 3), showed its cards when preparing for Tribal. A few of the contestants stood out from the pack, while others landed themselves in the bottom with shoddy strategy.

When Wednesday’s Survivor kicks off, Bhanu is still flapping his gums, only this time he’s being honest with his tribe about what he spilled during his Journey. Tiffany is rightfully peeved. In one fell swoop, Bhanu threatened all of his tribemates’ games. The truly rich part: He doesn’t even understand why what he said was wrong! The whole debacle leads Kenzie to wonder why the guy even came on the show when clearly he doesn’t know how to play. “He could’ve just gone camping!” she says. Can’t argue with that. No notes.

The Yanu Tribe was a mess as the new Survivor 46 episode began.
Bhanu couldn’t figure out why the rest of his tribe had constructed a fake Immunity Idol to get Jess out.
Many Survivor fans were also frustrated with how Jess was treated before she got eliminated in the last episode.
Bhanu knew he was in danger with Tiff, Q, and Kenzi working together. He approached each of the other castaways to make alliances but brought nothing to the table in those chats.
Later, he would likely need to hunt for an Individual Immunity Idol to find safety.
Meanwhile, Maria Gonzalez found the Immunity Idol box for the Siga Tribe. When her tribe loses an Immunity Challenge, the key will become available. She also lost her vote.
Immunity was on the line again
The third Immunity Challenge of the season took place midway through the episode.

Heading into the third episode of “Survivor 46,” the Yanu tribe was down two members after David Jelinsky and Jessica “Jess” Chong were voted out back-to-back. That left the Nami tribe and the Siga tribe in the lead numbers-wise as they both still had six people apiece. So how did everything play out on Wednesday night?

There is a lot to unpack with the second episode of “Survivor 46.” It gave us three completely different tribes in terms of dynamics, to how rivals work together, to a secret alliance, to one of the most rocky, problematic groups filled with paranoia and borderline controversial gameplay with much hilarity. In another two-hour episode, let’s break down all of the craziness that occurred in “Scorpio Energy.”
Starting with the most cohesive and least dramatic tribe of the three, Siga (known as the vibe tribe) seems to still have the gender trios of the women versus the men, with Charlie Davis looking to be swayed into joining the girls, but also registering that he would be the bottom of that pact. In order to solidify himself further, he proposed a secret pairing with Maria Shrime Gonzalez – who seems to be the popular tribe member and also possesses an extra vote...

A new episode led to someone else getting voted off Survivor last night.
The episode picked up after the Tribal Council that sent home David Jelinsky on the season premiere.
Jelinsky was seen as quitting on his tribe several times, leading to him unanimously getting voted out by the Yanu Tribe.
At the Siga Tribe, Charlie Davis and Ben Katzman challenged each other to a song battle. For each Taylor Swift song Charlie named, Ben tried to match him with a Metallica song.
Charlie and Ben went back and forth for more than 100 song titles each, with Charlie eventually proving how much of a Swiftie he was by winning the battle.
Randen Montalvo found a Beware Advantage at Nami Tribe. He lost his vote, but if he could find a key, he could unlock a box with an Immunity Idol inside. But before that can happen, his tribe must lose a future Immunity Challenge.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Survivor Season 46 Episode 2.] Yanu can’t catch a break. The purple team lost big again Survivor Season 46 Episode 2, which aired Wednesday, March 6 on CBS. With the latest elimination, they’ve hopefully cleared the way for future wins. But as it stands, there’s only one Yanu player who can lead them there, making them the player of the week in our Survivor 46 Power Players ranking below. Just like with the Survivor 46 premiere, Tribes Nami and Siga were victorious in this week’s combined Immunity and Reward Challenge, meaning they got to keep their flint and scored fishing equipment. Yanu went home empty-handed, where Jess was so protein-starved that she started eating ants. The challenge was a brutal loss for the tribe, as the arched puzzles frequently collapsed on Siga and Nami. The blocks went tumbling so often that it was impossible to predict who would win. And yet, the predictable...

Survivor 46 brought the drama on Wednesday night.
Jeff Probst welcomed the 18 new castaways to Fiji. He noted how the seas were rough as the players came in, and the first challenge happened on that beach.
An obstacle course and a heavy puzzle awaited the players, with flint and safety from the second challenge on the line.
The Nami Tribe won the first challenge, earning their camp supplies first. They also relaxed while the other tribes completed the Sweat and Savvy Challenges.
The Nami Tribe members are Soda Thompson, Hunter McKnight, Tevin Davis, Liz Wilcox, Randen Montalvo, and Venus Vafa. They wear orange.
Here are the names and bios for all 18 Survivor 46 castaways.
Sweat or Savvy Challenges on the first day of Survivor 46
The Yanu Tribe (purple) had to complete the Sweat Challenge. Its members are David “Jelinsky” Jelinsky, Kenzie Veurink, Bhanu Gopal, Tiffany Ervin, Q Burdette, and Jessica “Jess” Chong.

On Wednesday’s two-hour premiere of “Survivor 46,” David Jelinsky fell prey to a “huge blindside” from a Yanu tribe that had grown frustrated with his track record of giving up too quickly. Jelinsky had developed an early alliance of four, but they changed course based on their lack of faith that he wouldn’t quit on challenges in the future. Read on for Jelinsky’s “Survivor 46” exit interview from the end of the episode.
In one of the earliest challenges of the season, Jelinsky stepped up to compete for his tribe alongside Q Burdette in a Sweat task that required them to spend “several hours” retrieving water from the sea using buckets with holes in them in order to fill two massive urns across the beach. With two hours and 45 minutes left on their clock, Jelinsky convinced Q that they wouldn’t be able to complete the task and they should just quit.

Hey, "Survivor" fans. Tonight, February 28, 2024, the brand new, premiere episode 1 of Survivors' new season 46 did indeed hit the air, and we saw the first person get voted off by the end of it. Tonight's new, premiere episode kicked off with the usual introductions of some of the new contestants. The new tribe names are: Siga, Yanu and Nami. They got hit with their first challenge. During it, they had to race through an obstacle course to retrieve puzzle pieces. Then, complete the puzzle and retrieve their flint for the win. The reward for this challenge was a pot, machete and flint camp supplies. Nami won it. Siga came in second place, and Yanu was last. Since Siga came in second, they got to choose to do either the Savvy or Sweat challenge to get a second chance at winning supplies for their tribe. They chose the Savvy comp. So, Yanu...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Survivor Season 46 Episode 1.] Quitters won’t make it far in Survivor. That much became clear in Survivor Season 45, when a self-elimination trend started to form. Jeff Probst declared that from this point on, quitting in Tribal Council means you don’t get to hear him say, “The tribe has spoken.” But the quitting came early in Survivor 46. Thankfully, it was a different kind. The season kicked off with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, February 28 on CBS (90-minute episodes will follow weekly). The tribes are called Nami (orange), Siga (green), and Yanu (purple). On Tribe Nami are Hunter, Liz, Randen, Soda, Tevin, and Venus. On Siga are Ben, Charlie, Jem, Maria, Moriah, and Tim. On Yanu are Bhanu, Jelinsky, Jess, Kenzie, Q, and Tiffany. Nami reigned supreme in the first challenge, with Siga falling in second and Yanu in third. The same thing would happen in the first Immunity Challenge. How...

Wednesday night on CBS, Jeff Probst officially lit the torch on the 46th season of “Survivor.” Just like all of the “new era” cycles, this year’s crop of 18 contestants have been divided into three tribes and come from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. The first two episodes of this installment will be two hours long, and then the show will air in 90-minute increments thereafter. In the season premiere, viewers met the new castaways and found out who had the unfortunate title of being the first person voted off the island.

Raise of hands if you miss Survivor’s villainous castings of yesteryear. Sure, Venus may have been compared to Parvati in Wednesday’s two-hour Season 46 premiere, but when you pan out to take in this hungry batch of newbies, it’s giving Heroes vs. Heroes… vs. Heroes.
