Jake Paul‘s sports gambling company is making a bet on a pair of content creators who are known for harnessing their name, image, and likeness (Nil) rights. Haley and Hanna Cavinder, who reach 4.5 million followers on their Cavinder Twins TikTok account, have signed on as equity partners for Paul’s eight-month-old venture Betr.
The Cavinder Twins just completed their fourth year of NCAA eligibility by attending the University of Miami, where they starred on the Hurricanes’ basketball team and made millions from assorted Nil deals. Haley and Hanna are two of the leading figures in a new generation of student-athletes who are making names for themselves as both sportspeople and creators. The Cavinders’ Nil deals were so numerous that they triggered an NCAA investigation, which ultimately cleared the sisters of any wrongdoing.

Social media personality and Disney Channel star turned professional boxer Jake Paul is getting back into the media business, and he’s doing it with a sports betting twist.
Paul and business partner Joey Levy have raised 50 million to launch a new media and micro-betting company called Betr, with plans to develop sports media properties and eventually build out a sports betting business built around the so-called micro-bets (instead of betting on the outcome of a game, think betting on the outcome of the next pitch, or the next play).
“Micro-betting is the TikTok-ification of sports betting and I am excited to bring it to the masses through Betr,” Paul said in a statement. “We are in this for the long haul and are focused on doing things the right way…. We want to be the category defining consumer company in both sports...

The alphabet network's been churning out a lot of "alternative" programming this summer. The latest offering is a Friday night game show called Karaoke Battle USA. Is this one a winner that's on a fast-track for renewal or will it be cancelled like so many others?
Karaoke Battle USA seeks to find the best karaoke singer from across the country by taking the best male and female performers from various regional competitions and pitting them against one another. At the end, the King and Queen of Karaoke are crowned. In addition to the title, the winners also win a trip to compete at the Karaoke World Championships in Ireland and have a recording released through Hollywood Records. The show is hosted by *Nsync's Joey Fatone and is judged by karaoke champion Brian Scott, singer/songwriter/comic Carnie Wilson, and music journalist Joey Levy.

Leverage follows the adventures of a highly skilled team out to settle scores against those who use power and wealth to victimize others. The gang is led by former insurance investigator Nate Ford (Timothy Hutton). His highly skilled team includes Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman), a grifter who uses her acting skills to corner her marks; Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane), a "retrieval specialist" with bone-crunching fighting skills; Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge), a gadget and technology wizard who keeps the team informed; and Parker (Beth Riesgraf), a slightly off-center thief adept at rappelling off buildings or squeezing into tight places. The third season opens with Nate in prison after having to make a tough choice on the most recent con. He could either allow his team to be arrested or simply give himself up to his nemesis Sterling, a former insurance investigator now working for Interpol. Nate soon discovers, however, that the prison is corrupt.
