It’s no surprise to hear that Charlotte Kirk will be starring in director Neil Marshall‘s psychological thriller Compulsion, as she has starred in his last three films: The Reckoning, The Lair, and Duchess (which hasn’t been released yet). She has even co-written the screenplays for all three of those movies with Marshall. So it was almost a given that she would star in Compulsion as well, but Deadline reports that she’s being joined in the cast by Anna-Maria Sieklucka, who starred in the massive hit 365 Days for the Netflix streaming service.
Scripted by Marshall, Compulsion is said to be inspired by the old school erotic thrillers of the ’80s and ’90s, like Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct, and Single White Female. This one centers on the dynamically twisted relationship between two women, as both become embroiled in a series of horrific murders on the island of Malta.

In a shocking abrogation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights — at least as it pertains to film critics — a mere 114 days has elapsed between Barbara Białowas and Tomasz Mandes’ two sequels to their 2020 Netflix-busting softcore phenom, “365 Days.” So just a few scant months after “365 Days: This Day” left us in a swirl of Steadicam and a hail of bullets, here’s “The Next 365 Days,” plunging the series’ fans, and its contractually obliged observers, back into the lightly kink-dusted erotic adventures of Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) and Massimo (Michele Morrone), the streaming era’s favorite oversexed, underclad rape-apologist couple. What a time to be alive.
In truth, the shortness of that window is a blessing, given the third film optimistically expects us to remember what happened in the second — beyond there being an evil twin, a blisteringly attractive gardener called Nacho (Simone Sussina) and a comical climactic...

When it landed on Netflix in the summer of 2020, Barbara Bialowas and Tomasz Mandes’ smash hit “365 Days” offered the streamer something special: its very own spin on “Fifty Shades of Grey,” complete with paper-thin plots, supposedly kinky sex, and a popular book series that included two more books ripe for the film treatment. Two years later, the popular — but controversial — film series chugs onward with its first sequel, a nearly two-hour affair that doesn’t just push the boundaries of tasteful entertainment, but simply steamrolls right over them in service to . Sexy, right?
Bialowas and Mandes’ first film stuck faithfully to the material provided by author (and co-screenwriter) Blanka Lipinska: a bored Polish hotel worker (Anna Maria Sieklucka as Laura) becomes the object of obsession for a sexy, if seriously fucked up, mafioso named Massimo (Michele Morrone). Massimo’s desire for Laura, initially kicked off after he spotted...

"I just want to protect you." "This is not protection." Netflix has unveiled a trailer for an erotic thriller titled 365 Days: This Day, a sequel to the controversial Polish-Italian film 365 Days from 2020. In this next one, Laura and Massimo are back and "hotter than ever." (Yes this is in the official synopsis.) But the reunited couple's new beginning is complicated by Massimo’s family ties and a mysterious man who enters Laura’s life to win her heart and trust, at any cost. Michele Morrone & Anna Maria Sieklucka star, with Magdalena Lamparska & Simone Susinna. I have no idea how they keep making these, especially with this kind ...

If there’s one movie on Netflix that everybody’s streaming, it’s the Polish sex odyssey “365 Days,” which currently sits at No. 1 on the platform’s Top 10 most-watched films in the U.S. What’s being dubbed “the Polish ’50 Shades of Grey'” topped the charts shortly after its June 7 premiere, drawing eyes for its already infamously graphic sex scenes about a mafia man who kidnaps an alluring woman after failing to protect his father from being assassinated. Massimo (Michele Morrone) gives Laura (Anna Maria Sieklucka) exactly 365 days to fall in love with him, or else she’s free to return to her unhappy life in Poland.

Scrolling through Netflix’s most-viewed titles, you might have stumbled across “365 Dni” (365 Days) which debuted on June 7. The Polish romp has been stirring up a storm on TikTok and social media from viewers drawing comparisons to “Fifty Shades of Grey” for its erotic Bdsm scenes. One scene lasts close to five minutes.
“365 Days” is based on a novel by Blanka Lipińska (who also directed the film) and is described as a modern-day “Beauty and the Beast” by cinematographer Bartek Cierlica (“Grobari”). Laura (Anna Maria Sieklucka) is an ordinary young woman who gets kidnapped by Massimo (Michele Morrone), a mafia boss obsessed with her. Trapped in his spacious chateau, she has 365 days to fall in love with him.
Though reviews have been mostly scathing, curious Netflix viewers have kept the steamy title ranking high on the site all week.

Fans of the literature of E.L James may find their inner Goddesses doing the Mazurka for Barbara Bialowas and Tomasz Mandes’ “365 Days,” a thoroughly terrible, politically objectionable, occasionally hilarious Polish humpathon currently gasping and writhing its way up the Netflix charts. Those less enamored of the arid sexcapades of Ana and Christian will find less to enjoy, and more to be grossed out by in this highly questionable take on “Beauty and the Beast,” which manages to be even more regressive than the fairytale: Imagine Beauty being Ok with captivity and with the Beast killing villagers as long as he gave her a bunch of orgasms on a yacht. That said, there are enjoyable moments, albeit inadvertent ones: Couples for whom helpless laughter is an integral part of foreplay, for example, might want to try husking out quotes like “I’m gonna f— you so hard they’ll hear you scream in Warsaw.
