Has two older siblings, José María and Mariá del Mar.
His album "Corazón Latino" became the most successful debut album in
Spanish music history, selling over 1 million units in just months
(2002).
Received a Latin Grammy for "Best New Artist" in 2003.
After leaving high school shortly before graduation due to his interest
in music, his parents made him work in a greenhouse.
Enjoys cycling.
His other studio albums "Bulería" (2004) and "Premonición" (2006) also
topped the Spanish albums charts.
Became a father for the 1st time at age 30 when his [now ex] fiancée Elena Tablada gave birth to their daughter Ella Bisbal Tablada on February 15, 2010.
