Law & Order: Organized Crime may be one of the better entries in the franchise, but it sounds like things are constantly changing behind the scenes.
The NBC drama just named its sixth showrunner in three years.
Yes, you read that right. More changes are coming for the hit series.

There’s a hit out for Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) on Law & Order: Organized Crime, but the task force has his back, so he shouldn’t be too concerned… right? Well, everyone’s certainly going to try to keep him safe, as seen in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the May 12 episode, “Streets Is Watching.” When he walks into the office, Sergeant Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) asks about his family. He moved them into his daughter Kathleen’s. Bell is putting a car on her building, as well as a rotating tail on Stabler 24/7. Victoria Cho (Rachel Lin) and Carlos Maldonado (Mike Cannon) have the first shift. “We’ve got your back, Stabler,” Cho promises. Bell’s still waiting on the latest intel from Nova (Nona Parker Johnson), but she’s getting a list of Marcy Killer triggermen. “Could be a new recruit, someone who wants to make their bones,...

After a successful return to NBC over a decade after the series’ cancellation, ‘Law & Order’ has been renewed for Season 22. Additionally, spinoff “Law & Order: Organized Crime” will return for its third season.
Dick Wolf’s beloved procedural drama originally premiered on NBC in 1990 and ran for 20 seasons until its cancellation in 2010. In September 2021, NBC announced that the series would return for Season 21, which debuted in February. The new season followed the bifurcated format that was created for its original run and continued to examine “the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders.”
Sam Waterston and Anthony Anderson reprised their original roles, Jack McCoy and Kevin Bernard, respectively, and were joined by Jeffrey Donovan, Camryn Manheim, Hugh Dancy and Odelya Halevi.
Variety reviewed the new season positively, calling it a “worthy continuation” of its original run and noting that “what is most novel about...

Both Law & Order and Law & Order: Organized Crime will be back for new seasons. NBC has renewed Law & Order for a 22nd season and spinoff Organized Crime for a third season.
The renewals are not unexpected as both series were expected to continue.
NBC previously renewed Law & Order: Svu as part of a three-year renewal for what will be its 24th season, extending its record as the longest-running primetime live-action series of all time, and making it three-for-three for the Dick Wolf series.
Law & Order was revived for a 21st season last year, eleven and a half years after it was abruptly canceled by NBC.
The renewals mean that Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television have six series from the venerable creator renewed at the network; Chicago Fire, Chicago Pd and Chicago Med were handed three-year renewals at the same time as Svu. Wolf and Utv also recently scored two season renewals for FBI,...

“Law & Order” has been renewed for Season 22 and “Law & Order: Organized Crime” for Season 3, NBC announced on Tuesday.
The original “mothership” series returned from a 12-year-hiatus for its 21st season this year, with Sam Waterston and Anthony Anderson reprising their roles as D.A. Jack McCoy and Detective Kevin Bernard, respectively. The revived series also stars Jeffrey Donovan, Camryn Manheim, Hugh Dancy and Odelya Halevi.
Christopher Meloni’s “Organized Crime’ spinoff, which launched in April 2021, brought back the actor as fan-favorite Elliot Stabler. This season saw multiple crossovers with “Law & Order: Svu,” and a tense storyline in which Stabler faces off with mobster Richard Wheatley (Dylan McDermott) and begins to suspect his partner Frank Donnelly (Denis Leary) isn’t on the up and up. The series co-stars Danielle Moné Truitt, Ainsley Seiger and Nona Parker Johnson.

Do not mess with Preston Webb. That’s the lesson that the latest Law & Order: Organized Crime episode taught us about Mykelti Williamson‘s character — call him soft, and he’ll kill you — and it sounds like there’s more of that to come. But we can’t help but wonder if that includes Webb finding out that Carmen “Nova” Riley (Nona Parker Johnson) — whom he trusts so much, he made her his second-in-command of the entire Marcy organization — is undercover. If he does, how might he react? And what can we expect from Webb’s interactions with Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) in the April 14 episode? TV Insider spoke with Williamson to get the scoop. I definitely do not want to mess with Webb. He gets accused of going soft, and we see him prove just how untrue that is. Chopper had said he lost his mind, but...

Is Carmen “Nova” Riley (Nona Parker Johnson) about to get in over her head while undercover with the Marcy Organization on Law & Order: Organized Crime? If you ask Sergeant Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt), yes. But Nova refuses to let her pull her. In the last episode, Preston Webb (Mykelti Williamson) consolidated the current structure of the organization and made her his second-in-command, reporting directly to him. Though Bell pointed out that’s more than she signed up for, Nova argued she didn’t come this far to quit. She knew that the sergeant is worried about losing another undercover, but she assured her she knows what she’s doing. And they’ll continue to butt heads in the March 17 episode. Watch a sneak peek above. So does she? Johnson teases what’s ahead for Nova. Nova’s now second in command of the entire Marcy organization. What does that...
