When Shilpa Shetty & Raveena Tandon Allegedly Mocked Akshay Kumar(Photo Credit –Instagram)
Akshay Kumar is one of the biggest superstars in the country. Khiladi Kumar has done everything from deadly stunts to the most iconic comedy scenes. In the early 90s, he was also reportedly the playboy of the scenes, and rumors of his affairs dominated the headlines. While the equations between the three have been shifting, Kumar and Shilpa are only cordial with each other. Raveena Tandon has often said that Akshay is her friend, and the two are...

Killer Soup is Netflix’s latest in its piping roster of thriller shows (as well as shows about food). The Indian show is an almost Shakespearean comedy of errors-style story that is fun and fast-paced. At its heart, the show is about Swathi Shetty, a wife, a mother, and a woman who aspires to start her own restaurant in the center of her town, Mainjur. She’s wanted this since she can remember, and was promised by her husband that it would eventually happen for her; however, 20 years have passed and it’s all still the same. For now, Swathi’s story is quite a common one in the Indian household scenario. You’d imagine she would’ve let go of her dream with all these years gone by, but she’s very hopeful still. Her journey has only just begun, and something tremendously bizarre is about to happen that...

Michelle Obama said she is worried about the potential results of the 2024 election.
She appeared on an episode of On Purpose With Jay Shetty, the podcast hosted by British podcaster Jay Shetty. During the episode, she listed the fears that keep her up at night.
“What’s gonna happen in this next election?” Michelle asked. “I am terrified about what could possibly happen because our leaders matter. Who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit, it affects us in ways that sometimes I think people take for granted.”
“The fact that people think that government, ‘Eh, does it really even do anything?’— and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, does government do everything for us, and we cannot take this democracy for granted,'” the former First Lady added. “And I worry sometimes that we do. Those are the things that keep me up.”

The Boys universe is shaping up nicely after Gen V arrived with force and introduced a new development bound to shake things up.
While Gen V was billed as a spin-off with a much younger cast of characters, they have proven that they can handle themselves, and some of them might be ready to occupy the much-coveted spot in The Seven.
Gen V Season 1 Episode 8 was a wild episode that saw the partial resolution of some storylines.
Many existing storylines took a turn as they prepared the characters for their debut in the flagship series.
While the episode was fun to watch, the ending was quite cryptic.
Why Were Sam and Cate Called The New Guardians of Godolkin?
The descent into supe-remacy by Cate and Sam was so quick. If someone didn't pay attention, they would miss it.

This post contains spoilers for the season 1 finale of "Gen V."
"The Boys" has been praised for the way showrunner Eric Kripke and the rest of the writers' room have successfully adapted Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's popular comic book series to more accurately reflect our constantly shifting cultural landscape. Many of the plot points and references are pulled straight from the headlines, with promises that the upcoming season 4 will directly tackle even more real-world themes. Considering season 3 ended with Homelander literally living out the claim of the twice-impeached, found legally liable for sexual abuse and defamation, and feloniously indicted former president Trump's statement "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters," it certainly seems like the show is heading toward dissecting not only the people who will do anything to stop him but also those who have been dangerously radicalized by his actions.

Mumbai, Nov 3 (Ians) Film: ‘Ut 69’ (Playing in cinemas) Duration: 117 mins 20 sec
Director – Shahnawaz Ali
Cast- Raj Kundra
Rating – ****
‘UT69’, directed by Shahnawaz Ali, takes a daring plunge into the turbulent experiences of entrepreneur Raj Kundra during his time in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail.
The film has been co-written by Raj Kundra, Vikram Bhatti, and Ali, and supported by Svs Studios.
It offers a satirical narrative that peels back the layers of the struggles faced by those awaiting trial or bail, compelled to co-exist with hardened criminals under dismal jail conditions.
The narrative opens with Raj Kundra’s arrival at Arthur Road Jail, unjustly packed in a van and subjected to the dehumanising routine of cavity searches and bullying despite no proof of guilt.
Portraying himself, Kundra emerges as a well-mannered, upper-class individual trapped in the complexities of a porn case, providing a lens into his real-life experiences behind bars.

This article contains spoilers for Gen V season 1.
The first season of The Boys spinoff Gen V is coming to a close this week, and it seems like we’re in for a wild ride as the young supes of God U struggle to decide how to move forward after discovering the true nature of The Woods and its experiments.
With Dean Shetty (Shelley Conn) now dead at Cate’s (Maddie Phillips) behest, the threat of the virus seems to be quelled for now, but that doesn’t mean that Cate’s thirst for vengeance has. In the season finale preview, Cate and Sam (Asa Germann) band together to release the people being held in The Woods and seek justice for the atrocities committed against the young supes of God U. Their friends, however, don’t seem too thrilled by the gleam of violence in their eyes as the campus descends into chaos.

In a career spanning over three decades, Akshay Kumar has consistently proven his versatility, seamlessly navigating through various genres and roles. From social-dramas to action, romance to comedy, to playing characters with shades of grey, Akshay Kumar has done it all. His ability to bring authenticity to every character has solidified his position as one of the most talented actors in the Indian film industry.
In his next film, we will see Akshay Kumar in yet another avatar as he collaborates with director Mohit Suri and producer Rohit Shetty for the action thriller “Psycho.” He will step into the shoes of a ‘psycho character’ and we cannot wait!
The film, set to go on floors in 2024 with a 40-day start-to-finish schedule, marks the first time a project under Rohit Shetty’s banner won’t be directed by Shetty himself.

This article contains spoilers for Gen V season 1 and The Boys through season 3.
From the beginning of The Boys spinoff Gen V, Indira Shetty (Shelley Conn), the dean of Godolkin University, has appeared to be just another person whose morals have been bought by Vought. The secret experiments that she and Dr. Cardosa (Marco Pigossi) have been performing on young supes in the secret on-campus facility dubbed The Woods are cruel, but not any more so than what Stormfront (Aya Cash) and Lamplighter were doing to the supes held at the Vought facility Sage Grove in The Boys season 2.
Until episode 7, Dr. Cardosa even believed that the supe-targeting virus that he’s been working on was for Vought so that they could find a way to control supes and keep them in line. However, in the episode “Sick,” Shetty reveals to Cardosa that Vought has no idea about the deadly...

Spinoffs are a tough feat to pull off, and they're even harder when the main show is still going on. For the first five episodes or so, "Gen V" took the smart approach of basing its main storyline around a fairly low-level, self-contained conspiracy. The characters weren't interacting with anyone like Butcher or Homelander; they were simply trying to figure out what sort of crazy stuff was going on at their school, located in their own little corner of this crazy world.
But the latest episode, "Jumanji," flips that around a bit. It reveals that Dean Indira Shetty (Shelley Conn) is working on a contagious virus that can de-power any Supe, and also maybe kill them in the process. Although her methods to achieve this goal haven't affected anyone on "The Boys" just yet, it's easy to see how the results from Shetty's virus can bleed into the flagship show.

Nothing makes a show worth investing in as much as a great season-long arc.
Starting the season while having no idea what you're in for, slowly discovering what the writers have prepared for you, and then getting an epic conclusion is one of the best feelings.
Gen V Season 1 spent considerable time developing the season-long arc, but on Gen V Season 1 Episode 7, the show abandoned that for other vane pursuits.
Most of what the writers had been trying to keep a secret was revealed apart from the motivations behind Shetty's work in the woods.
We tried to predict what that was in our Gen V Season 1 Episode 6 review; it would seem I was half-right.
She harbored a great disdain for supes, which didn't come as a surprise because destruction is their middle name.
It's not just Homelander. You all leave a path of destruction behind you. You have ruined countless lives.

Heads rolled (well popped) in the latest episode of Gen V, as Prime Videos’s The Boys spinoff delivered an action-packed penultimate episode that tied neatly into its bigger brother. The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke has already confirmed (via EW) that the Gen V finale will include a “handoff” to The Boys season 4, and with some significant cameos during “Sick”, things are starting to come together.
The Gen V trailer teased the return of Claudia Doumit’s Victoria Neuman, with the head-popping politician stopping by Godolkin University to put one of her sinister schemes into play. Having thrown Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito) under the bus in The Boys season 3, she’s now on the way to the White House as a vice presidential candidate. Although we were on the money that Neuman was the mysterious benefactor of Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), that...

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers for Episode 7 of “Gen V,” titled “Sick” now streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video.
One week until the Season 1 finale of “Gen V” and Amazon’s college spinoff of “The Boys” has revealed just how tight the ties that bind it to its parent series are.
In Episode 7, “Sick,” there are callbacks to storylines planted at the beginning of “The Boys,” and vital information relayed from characters on one show to another.
Grace Mallory (Laila Robins) of “The Boys” — the former deputy director of the CIA, and founder of The Boys and their fight against Vought — met with Dean Shetty (Shelley Conn) at Shetty’s request, and was shocked to learn of the fatal-to-supes virus built in the Woods, and quickly refused to help Shetty spread the virus.

Since "Gen V" premiered, it became amply clear that there was something nefarious about The Woods, which seemed like an open secret among the adults occupying the ranks in Vought. As for the young adults, the weight of the truth was too much to bear: Luke/Golden Boy (Patrick Schwarzenegger) ended up dying by suicide due to the trauma of being mentally toyed with, while his brother Sam (Asa Germann) is currently unable to escape radical indoctrination despite being free. The others — Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Andre (Chance Perdomo), Jordan (London Thor/David Luh), Cate (Maddie Philips), and Emma (Lizze Broadway) — wrestle their inner demons over the course of the episodes, trying to help uncover the unsavory secrets that lie beneath Godolkin. Until one of them goes rogue.

This article contains spoilers through episode 6 of Gen V
The penultimate episode of Gen V’s first season is poised to be an intense one as Marie, Andre (Chance Perdomo), Cate (Maddie Phillips), Emma (Lizze Broadway), and Sam (Asa Germann) work to uncover Dean Shetty’s (Shelley Conn) plans for The Woods and how they connect to Sam and his brother Luke’s (Patrick Schwarzenegger) abilities.
Episode 7 will feature the return of Congresswoman and Vice Presidential candidate Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit), who grew up in Red River before being adopted by Vought’s former CEO Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito). Even though Neuman is moving up in the world, and has kept her supe abilities generally under wraps as far as the general public is concerned, she seems to still have a connection with Marie, who also grew up at Red River. Supes have never been perfect in the world of "The Boys," and "Gen V" illustrates this further by zeroing in on the broken, messy lives of vulnerable teen Supes trapped under Vought's thumb. While "The Boys" illustrates the extremes of Supe megalomania, along with the shades of grey that exist within such power structures, "Gen V" paints its young Supes as innately human, in spite of their powers.
The series' focal point, Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) is a prime example of a young girl forced to make tough decisions to shield herself from further harm, as Marie's trauma only fuels her need to prove herself, and this path is littered with unsavory choices that are often immoral in nature. This does not make Marie or the other kids antiheroes — at least, not yet — as they're grappling with issues that make...

One constant among the universe of "The Boys" is that there will always be a non-supe or two at the top of the corporate chain, surviving not through physical strength but through sheer self-preserving strategy. The main show currently has Stan Edgar, a cold-hearted businessman who is inexplicably unfazed by Homelander's many threats over the years. Does Edgar have something up his sleeve, or is he really just that tough and immovable? We still don't know for sure.
On the spin-off's side of things, we have Indira Shetty, the university's new dean, who manages to keep these supe students in line despite knowing that most of them could destroy her with relative ease. And unlike Edgar, Shetty isn't entirely capable of hiding her emotions; a few weeks back the supe detective Tek Knight was able to figure out one of her secrets just from the subtle signs in her body language.

After the revelation made about Cate on Gen V Season 1 Episode 5, everything changed.
The story finally made sense and didn't feel as disjointed anymore.
On Gen V Season 1 Episode 6, the show took the main characters -- and Dustin -- on an emotional journey as they confronted some of the worst moments in their lives.
Somehow, Marie, Andre, Jordan, and Dustin found themselves inside Cate's mind, and a lot went down there.
First was the cameo by Soldier Boy that everyone had been waiting for, and I'm not everyone.
Soldier Boy was in like one season of The Boys, so I wasn't excited.
I could have also done without that scene based on how he was introduced.
Gen V and The Boys are known for pushing boundaries on what can be shown on TV, and we've always loved them for that, but is there a point where a line must be drawn?...

On the surface, Nisha Pahuja’s “To Kill a Tiger” doesn’t look that different from any other documentary set in rural India. The visual palette is bright yet rustic. The characters, real figures, speak a thick East Indian dialect of Hindi, take pride in their community, and allow cameras into their lives.
But the award-winning film, executive produced by Dev Patel and Mindy Kaling, along with the National Film Board of Canada, does what so much media focused on social change cannot: It goes right to the source. “To Kill a Tiger” is about one family seeking justice for the sexual assault of their 13-year-old daughter — but as the legal battles wears on, the documentary roots out the societal structures and collective thinking that find such brutal crimes pervasive and largely unreported in the world’s largest democracy.

One year ago, on September 30, 2022, the Kannada film industry witnessed a historic moment when Rishab Shetty’s Kantara hit the screens. The film, which was written and directed by Shetty himself, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, was a massive success both critically and commercially. It broke several records and became the second highest-grossing Kannada film of all time after K.G.F: Chapter 2, released the same year. It was also 2022’s fourth highest-grossing film in India.
Kantara, which means Mystical Forest in Kannada, is an action thriller that revolves around Shiva, a Kambala champion from Kaadubettu village, who is at loggerheads with Murali, an upright forest officer. The film explores the themes of spirituality, fate and folklore in the backdrop of a forest that is protected by a deity named Panjurli Daiva and his companion Guliga Daiva. Even if the Gen V series premiere was fast-paced, with a lot happening, the decision to introduce the season-long conflict did not turn out to be a bad one.
Gen V Season 1 Episode 2 built on the events of the series premiere and, for that reason, cemented the narrative as something worth following, even for people who weren't the biggest fans of the show based on the series premiere.
We dealt with the aftermath of Luke's suicide, as the show tried to convey what would happen when someone as important as Golden Boy leaves the picture abruptly, leaving a vast vacuum and the people who would rise to occupy that.
None of the characters on the show deserve what they have, whether good or bad.
All the powers they gained by sheer luck, but one can't deny that they've paid the price for having them, and some continue to pay that price to this day.

There are two kinds of evil people in Gen V.
The first we're well aware of. They are the supes who would use their powers to abuse the public instead of helping them, and the second is the parents who experimented on their kids.
Everyone who developed powers didn't do so by accident because someone had to have given them Compound V, and for most of these supes, it was their parents.
Gen V Season 1 Episode 3 introduced the parents of most of the characters from God U, who we had never met before, and it became clear why they all were so competitive with one another.
With someone like Emma, it was clear earlier that there was a story worth exploring concerning her family, and just like we'd suspected, the story was not fun.
Emma's mom: How's your eating? You are on your own now. You need to be careful about your calorie intake.

Is “The Boys” a satire of superhero franchises or a superhero franchise itself? Such is the question posed by a show that is, among other things, a cautionary tale about corporate monopoly that airs on Amazon. So far, though, the answer is both — a delicate balance “The Boys” has sustained through three acclaimed seasons, an animated anthology series and, now, a live-action spinoff, the college-set “Gen V.” The contradictions of success may eventually take their toll on the pitch-black comedy and its satellites, which portray so-called superheroes as pawns of the rapacious Vought International. But “Gen V” retains the edge, cynicism and (aptly) adolescent humor that make its parent show tick, suggesting “The Boys” is far from the creative fatigue now plaguing juggernauts like the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
