It is a great pleasure to meet in love with film culture, to see so many people with whom we have become friends in 25 years of attending the Cannes Film Festival.

As far as Marie is concerned, painting and drawing is a family story. This explains why she started drawing very young, and why she continued her studies in this field. After she graduated from high school in Applied Arts, she continued with a diploma in Graphic Design which pushed her to develop her skills in illustration, which, subsequently, led her to work for of several theaters’ communication and within a design studio specialized in textile prints.
In her view, image is essential in communication. We often say that a picture is worth a thousand words, because it allows us to memorize a message through sentiment, through emotions. That is why it is at the heart of her work. Digital illustration has always been present in her practice, although her early works consisted mainly of hand drawings.
