- He is the co-founder of San Bernardino, California's cinematic and television animal sanctuary "Jungle Exotics". It was established in January of 1982.
- Camp studied Zoology and Economics in New Brunswick, New Jersey's Rutgers University. He attended that university from 1965 to 1969.
