Pantaya, the fast-growing premiere U.S. Hispanic/Latino SVOD service, has signed a multiyear production partnership with Mexico’s Corazón Films, producer and co-creator of smash hit “El Juego de las Llaves” and the anticipated “Mi Tío,” starring José Eduardo Dérbez and Ariadne Díaz.
Both these series were produced with Amazon and Pantaya. The new production partnership now builds on the Pantaya-Corazón Films relationship, seeing Corazón committing to produce premium original series exclusively for the streamer.
First up by way of shows is “Erotica,” described by Pantaya as a “sexy anthology exploring the realm of fantasy in a similar way as ‘Red Shoe Diaries,’ but following the Pov of female desires that is characteristic of Corazón Film’s previous work.”

Exclusive: Latin Grammy winner and actress Alejandra Guzman (Una familia con suerte), Laura Leon (Dos mujeres un camino) and Cristián de la Fuente (Amor bravio) have joined the season 2 cast of Pantaya’s hit Spanish-language scripted series El Juego de Las Llaves (The Game of Keys). Televisa Cine USA, the U.S. distribution arm of Mexico's Televisa Cine, will release Alejandro Lozano's Matando Cabos (Killing Cabos) domestically in June, Eckehardt Von Damm, president of the two distribution companies, said Wednesday. Lightning Entertainment co-president Richard Guardian said his company has picked up international rights to the dark comedy. Televisa Cine opened Cabos in July in Mexico where it went on to gross $7 million. Televisa's previous stateside distribution effort, A Day Without a Mexican, earned more than $4 million at the U.S. boxoffice. Cabos, which stars Ana Claudia Talancon (The Crime of Father Amaro), Pedro Armendariz (Once Upon a Time in Mexico) and Tony Dalton (Clase 406), was produced by Lemon Films, the production shingle of brothers Billy Rovzar-Diez-Barroso and Fernando Rovzar-Diez-Barroso.
