- Is scared of possums, yet played the high school mascot on the show Party of Five, for two seasons, which ironically, was a possum.
- He once booked a part for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004); the scene was eventually axed from the movie, and never shot.
- Auditioned once for the role of 'Dylan Patron' in You Wish (1997). It came down to him and Branden Williams, who eventually got the role.
- Shares same December 26th birthday as actor Jared Leto.
- Sheypan was favored by the Coen Brothers for the role of the Frenchman in "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs". He impressed them at the callback with his physical comedy, but ultimately the part was given to David Krumholtz.
