Madrid (Spain), Sep 2 (Ians) Fc Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez on Saturday explained a busy last day in the transfer window for his club, which saw two arrivals and three departures.
Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo arrived on loan from Atletico Madrid and Manchester City, while winger Eze Abde joined Real Betis in a permanent move and Ansu Fati and Eric Garcia went on loan to Brighton and Girona respectively.
Garcia was perhaps the most surprising departure, but in his press conference ahead of Sunday’s game against Osasuna, Xavi explained that the central defender “came and told me that he wanted a change of scenery, that he needed it”, reports Xinhua.
“Ansu, Abde and Eric asked to leave. Ansu has the feeling that he needs to play. The objective is for him to succeed again at Barca,” said the coach, who commented that Barca “have a buyback option” for Abde,...

Madrid (Spain), Aug 18 (Ians) Fc Barcelona’s Uruguay international defender Ronald Araujo will be out of action for around a month after suffering a hamstring injury.
The club’s website confirmed the news on Thursday, informing that Araujo “has injured the femoral biceps in the hamstring of his left leg and will be unavailable for selection until the injury clears up.”
Although the club did not give a return date, this type of injury and Araujo’s history of muscle problems mean he will be out of action for at least a month, reports Xinhua.
That also means he will miss Sunday’s game at home to Cadiz, along with a difficult visit to Villarreal on August 27 and a home game against Osasuna the following week.

Madrid, May 24 (Ians) Real Sociedad edged closer to Champions League qualification with a 1-0 victory at home against Almeria.
Takefusa Kubo netted the game’s only goal during the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time, striking a brilliant shot into the top corner of the net, reports Xinhua.
Almeria was reduced to 10 men just 10 minutes later following a harsh challenge from Luis Suarez on Robin Le Normand. Despite not managing to equalize in the second half, their resilience suggested that they might yet avoid relegation.
Celta Vigo and Girona settled for a 1-1 draw, a result that likely assures Celta’s La Liga survival. Carles Perez put the home team ahead just four minutes before halftime.
Cristhian Stuani equalized with a twice-taken penalty in the 58th minute, and both goalkeepers made excellent saves in the closing moments, resulting in a split of points.

The reign of “Wednesday” has been cut short by mother-daughter duo “Ginny & Georgia.”
Season 2 of the Netflix drama debuted in the No. 1 spot on the English TV List with 180.47 million hours viewed, making it the most-watched title on the streamer for the week of Jan. 2-8. That’s an impressive opening figure for the series. This would mean opening numbers for “Ginny & Georgia” bested Season 3 of “Emily in Paris,” “The Watcher,” and Season 5 of “Cobra Kai.” For context, Ryan Murphy’s “Monster” recorded 196.2 million hours in its first week of viewing and Season 2 of “Bridgerton” had 193.02 million.
On the film side, “Glass Onion” continues to break records. After joining Netflix’s Most Popular Films List at No. 9 last week with 209.4 million hours recorded, Rian Johnson’s murder mystery picked up another 44.32 million hours viewed in its third week of availability pushing it to No. 1 on the English Language Films chart and No.

This article contains spoilers for Kaleidoscope season 1.
In terms of creative TV structure, Netflix’s latest hit series Kaleidoscope is about as unique as they come. The show’s eight episodes (all named after colors naturally) follow the years, months, and days leading up to and after a grand heist and can be viewed in any order.
Only the eighth and final episode, “White,” has a consistent placement at the end of Netflix subscribers accounts. The remaining seven are presented in a random order for viewers to take in at the mercy of the algorithm’s suggestion, or to construct their own machete order of events.
While the way Kaleidoscope elects to present itself is unusual and rare, the story its eight episodes end up telling is surprisingly both conventional and conclusive. When presented in a strict chronological fashion, Kaleidoscope is a familiar genre story about the planning, execution, and fallout of a heist.

More than 10 years ago, Hurricane Sandy wiped away 70 billion-worth bonds when an underground vault owned by Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation was flooded, with no trace as to where they went. Two years later, writer-producer Eric Garcia separately formulated an idea for a series that could be viewed in randomized order, he wrote in an email at the time to a director friend of his. These two disparate strands would eventually come together to unlock “Kaleidoscope,” Netflix’s nonlinear heist show starring Giancarlo Esposito as the mastermind behind a high-stakes vault robbery.

Move over, Bandersnatch, Netflix has a new choose-your-own-adventure show out for viewers. Kaleidoscope, a new series that premiered January 1, follows an expert crew as they try to pull off a 7 billion robbery (and like most good heist stories, possibly right some family wrongs along the way). Netflix created the show for a non-linear experience, which encourages viewers to watch the episodes leading up to the season finale in different orders.

Kaleidoscope was designed so that its episodes can be watched in any order – but not everyone is a fan of a non-linear sequence.
Since Netflix released its heist thriller series on New Year’s Day (1 January), fans have been deliberating on which sequence to watch the show in.
Creator Eric Garcia (previously Matchstick Men) wrote Kaleidoscope so that seven of the eight episodes can be watched in any order and still make narrative sense.
This means that there are a total of 5,040 ways to experience the show, each influencing your thoughts about key events and characters in a different way. The abundant choice has left viewers stumped.
If, like others, you are looking to watch Kaleidoscope in a more traditional way – chronologically – this is how you do it.

Netflix's "Kaleidoscope" might seem like the average thriller series, but it has one thing that sets it apart from other heist movies and shows: the series, released Jan. 1, is eight episodes long, but it's designed to be watched in any order. Every episode is titled with a different color - a nod to the titular kaleidoscope - and starts with a title card about how far away the episode is from the heist. Some episodes take place just days before, while others go many years into the past to fill in on the backstory. Played by Giancarlo Esposito, the series star is a master thief who puts together a team to rob a vault, but in the end they all get more than they bargained for.
Creator and showrunner Eric Garcia explained why he designed the series to be watched in any order in a Dec. 25 interview with the New York Post.

Spoiler alert: The following article discusses the entirety of Netflix’s “Kaleidoscope.”
In “Kaleidoscope,” Netflix’s trippy caper series and first-of-its-kind watching experience where viewers can follow heists, betrayals and secrets as they unfurl in a randomized order, one man — Giancarlo Esposito’s Ray Vernon (alias: Leo Pap) — goes to unforeseen lengths to pull off a decades-long-gestating, career-defining robbery. As he goes against corporate security titan and friend-turned-foe Roger Salas, Leo runs afoul of the FBI, the uber-wealthy and equally shady figures known as the Triplets and his own daughter Hannah (Tati Gabrielle), who warns of the effects of all-consuming vengeance.
While the show is designed to view in any order, served to the audience member according to Netflix’s algorithms, “Kaleidoscope” is bookended by episodes “Black” — a one-minute introduction to the experience — and “White” — the series’ version of a finale, depicting the actual heist and meant to be saved for last.

Quentin Tarantino has saved cinema, and now he’s saving Netflix’s “Kaleidoscope” — at least in order for it to make sense.
The non-linear series starring Giancarlo Esposito has fascinated audiences since its New Year’s premiere, with its eight episodes charting the story of a 70-billion bond heist during Hurricane Sandy. With the robbery 24 years in the making, the series bounces back and forth between timelines, showing the thieves in various intervals including six months post-heist. Created by Eric Garcia (screenwriter of 2010’s “Repo Men”), the series is also executive produced by Ridley Scott.
Yet Netflix is looking to another auteur to explain the series. On Twitter, Netflix unveiled various color-coded maps for episode guides to best understand “Kaleidoscope,” including one suggestion to approach the show like “a Quentin Tarantino film.” See below.

Fans of Netflix’s new series Kaleidoscope are warning prospective viewers of one thing before they begin watching the series.
Netflix released the heist thriller series on New Year’s Day (1 January), with some fans already bingeing all eight episodes.
The series is created by Matchstick Men author Eric Garcia and follows a team of thieves who work together to pull off an elaborate heist worth 7bn (£5.8m).
The team of thieves is led by Leop Pap (played by Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito), and the action takes place over a period of 25 years.
What makes Kaleidoscope so unique is that the series has been designed so that seven of the eight episodes can be watched in any order and still make narrative sense. This allows viewers a “build your own adventure” viewing experience.

Netflix decided to open the New Year with one of its most uniquely structured programs in years: the Giancarlo Esposito-starring vehicle, Kaleidoscope. The dramatic thriller tells the story of a rag-tag group of criminals trying to pull off one of the biggest heists in modern history.
The novelty of the series lies in the episode-formatting gimmick that creator Eric Garcia employs to give each viewer a different perspective on the events in the timeline leading up to and after the heist: the eight episode order is random for all Netflix accounts. No matter what order you watch the series in, however, the final hour always ends on the “White” episode, which is the actual heist taking place.
The decision to plot the show this way means some people might be a little more confused than usual about what happens to all of the characters. We’re here to break...

You know how it feels like virtually every piece of television or film has to have some sort of disclaimer in the news before its release saying “based on a true story”? It’s almost as if the creators of fiction believe it gives more credence to their plot if they can say it’s realistic enough to have taken place in real life.
Netflix’s creative new heist-thriller Kaleidoscope is joining in on this recurring theme of supposed-realism. The show tells the story of a criminal team of thieves who attempt to break into a vault holding billions of dollars in bearer bonds. Viewers are all given a different order to watch the episodes in, encouraging people to come at the series from a different perspective from their streaming peers. The show always ends with the point of this whole shebang: the heist itself.

The heist genre is always interesting because, despite its typically sleek, stylized nature, it usually brings a sense of comfort to the viewer. A movie like the blue-collar-tinged “Logan Lucky,” for example, wouldn’t be described as sleek — and perhaps not the same type of “aspirational” presentation of the criminal lifestyle that something like Soderbergh’s “Ocean’s” franchise is all about — but at the same time, it’s comforting for the same reasons as other heist media are. Because when it comes to the heist genre, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. When everything comes together, without fail, even the most rudimentary heist films and shows are still successes; because seeing the full picture and re-contextualizing everything is always satisfying. And Netflix’s new series “Kaleidoscope” fits that bill, but with a twist.

It seems like a lifetime ago, but in the early weeks of 2020, the then-named CBS All Access launched a show called “Interrogation.” The ten-episode season starred Peter Sarsgaard as a detective investigating a brutal murder where the accused killer was the woman’s son (Kyle Gallner). With a decent cast and a dour, decades-spanning saga, the idea was that viewers could share in the detective work and watch the show in any order they wanted. Following the clues at their convenience, they could hop around different years, suspects, and investigators to figure out what really happened that night in the early ‘80s.
Fast-forward a few years and the beginning of 2023 brings “Kaleidoscope,” a show that offers the same promise of TV-watching freedom, this time revolving around a massive ten-figure vault heist. Each episode is color-coded, offering any audience member a time-fragmented look at the lead-up to and the aftermath of the planned robbery.

Netflix subscribers are facing a dilemma when watching the new release, Kaleidoscope.
Kaleidoscope arrives on Netflix on Sunday (1 January) with its unusual premise prompting raised eyebrows and questions from many viewers.
The crime drama – created by Matchstick Men author Eric Garcia – takes place over 25 years. It follows a group of masterful thieves, led by Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito, who work together to pull off an elaborate heist.
What has intrigued viewers, however, is the fact that the series has been designed so that viewers can watch seven of the available eight episodes in any order
This means that every episode, named after different colours, except the finale – titled “White” – can be watched in any sequence and the narrative will still make sense.
Netflix users have been assigned Kaleidoscope episodes in different sequences, except for the first and last episode.

Kaleidoscope is a series created by Eric Garcia starring Giancarlo Esposito, Paz Vega, Rufus Sewell and Jai Courtney.
Kaleidoscope is a story that can observed from different points of view, angles and situations. Each episode offer one view point and has its corresponding color: with flashbacks, pieces of the story and twists and turns in this kaleidoscopic puzzle, it offers us a bit of everything to create a good thriller.
About the Series
Note though, that it is not as novel as it appears to be.
Entertaining, humorous and with a good tempo. It has all the “hooks” to save us from the global hangover this New Year.
Kaleidoscope (2023)
It is a good series, but we are under the impression that it aimed high, shot and just barely made the mark, without being an “electrifying” viewing experience.
Using the classic heist premise, it doe shave good photography, a solid ensemble cast that deliver good performances.

The story recounted in Netflix’s Kaleidoscope is undeniably juicy — a small team of thieves use a Category 4 hurricane as cover to make off with 7 billion in unsecured bonds — but even more attention-grabbing is the way it’s told. Eric Garcia’s miniseries is designed so that viewers may watch its episodes in any order. Depending on the path you take, you’ll have a different perspective on what the show’s deepest mysteries are, which characters seem sympathetic or villainous, and whether certain beats play as setup or payoff.
Or at least that’s the idea. And it’s one that works fine, at least in the sense that it really is possible to follow what happens no matter how it unfolds. Whether it actually enhances the narrative, however, is another question entirely, and one with a rather less inspiring answer.

In a landscape where streaming services are operating more and more like cable networks, it is important for platforms to take risks. In theory, that could take many forms, from greenlighting an unconventional story to introducing features solely unique to that platform. Netflix has tried taking some risks in the past with its platform, but very rarely do they result in any substantial changes.
"Kaleidoscope," created by novelist and screenwriter Eric Garcia, is another risk taker. The show centers around an ambitious bank heist led by the mysterious Leo Pap (Giancarlo Esposito), a concept that sounds pretty run-of-the-mill on its own. However, it's the show's eight-episode structure that takes center stage. All of the show's episodes, excluding a brief intro and the heist-centric finale, are randomly ordered for each user, resulting in the story playing out in a uniquely non-linear fashion.

A new year is nearly upon us. Despite a 2022 chock-full of blockbuster movies and groundbreaking television, it is usually tough to have high expectations for the start of the new year. Historically, January has been the month that studios dump their unwanted projects to the masses to disappointing box office results. But the rise of streaming services has allowed for a healthier, more consistent dose of quality television and cinema throughout the year, from start to finish. And 2023 should be no different, especially judging by the upcoming titles coming to Netflix this January.
Netflix will be following up a jam-packed December with an almost equally-exciting lineup. In January, a slate of fan-favorite films will be making their way onto the streaming platform, while several new original projects look to impress audiences for the first time. If you want to revisit "Top Gun" or watch "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" for whatever reason,...

Netflix has never been shy about putting experimental TV on its platform, as seen with interactive specials like “Bandersnatch.” Now, the streamer is playing with the medium’s episodic format with “Kaleidoscope,” a new anthology series set to premiere New Year’s Day.
“Kaleidoscope” is loosely inspired by a real-life story of 70 billion in bonds gone missing in Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy, focusing on a group of thieves as they undergo a multi-decade-long plan to pull off the perfect heist on a seemingly unbreakable vault. The first season features eight episodes, with each installment bouncing around a 24-year timeline from when the crew’s preparations began to six months after the heist day itself.
Uniquely, with the exception of the finale — which depicts the actual heist itself — every episode of the series is designed to be watched in any order, and the show randomizes the experience so that each viewer...

A new Netflix anthology is on the way and it's likely to put a spin on your typical water cooler discussions. "Kaleidoscope" is certainly the kind of show you'll want to unpack with your friends: it's got high stakes, lots of intrigue, a mystery, and action-packed criminal hijinks. There's just one problem. Should you discuss the miniseries with someone before either of you has finished, you'll quickly realize that something is off: neither of you will have seen the same episodes.
"Kaleidoscope" isn't your average Netflix series — it's an immersive experience. Unlike most shows, this series was designed to be watched in any possible order. In fact, Netflix itself will be scrambling the episodes so that each viewer watches the series unfold in a different way.
While this is certainly a new approach for the streamer, this non-linear series isn't too far off from its prior experimental endeavors. The streaming...

Doha (Qatar), Nov 22 (Ians) Spain kick off their FIFA World Cup campaign against Costa Rica on Wednesday looking to build on their performance in last summer’s European Championships, where they reached the semifinals before losing on penalties to eventual champions Italy.
Spain coach Luis Enrique has put his faith in a young squad of players who, despite their youth, already have plenty of experience in domestic and European football.
Unai Simon is a fixture in goal, while Aymeric Laporte and Eric Garcia will probably play in central defense, with Jordi Alba and Dani Carvajal as the full-backs.
There could be a Barcelona trio in midfield, with Gavi and Pedri accompanying either Sergio Busquets or Manchester City’s Rodri, while Alvaro Morata will lead the attack, partnered by two of Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati.

Madrid, Nov 12 (Ians) Spain coach Luis Enrique had few surprises when he named his 26-man squad for the World Cup on Friday from the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation just outside of Madrid.
The coach has picked a squad with an emphasis on youth, including players such as Fc Barcelona trio Ansu Fati, Gavi and Pedri, and other youngsters such as Yeremy Pino, Hugo Guillamon and Nico Williams, while again ignoring calls to include Paris Saint Germain’s veteran Sergio Ramos.
There is the experience in defense, with Jordi Alba, Dani Carvajal and Cesar Azpilicueta all included, although there was no place for Athletic Club Bilbao’s Inigo Martinez, with Valencia’s Hugo Guillamon, who can also play in midfield if needed, given the nod.

Madrid, Oct 19 (Ians) Fc Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is expected to bring changes when his side entertains Villarreal at Camp Nou on Thursday.
The game comes on the back of last week’s 3-3 draw at home to Inter Milan, which almost ended Barca’s hopes of advancing in the Champions League and Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid, where Barca rarely looked as if they were going to get anything from their eternal rivals, reports Xinhua.
Barca were flat and lacked a change of pace in the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and also looked vulnerable to Madrid’s rapid counterattacks: something that Villarreal, with players such as Arnaut Danjuma, are also highly effective at.
Xavi is likely to bring Ansu Fati into his starting 11 for Ousmane Dembele, whose form has dipped in recent matches, while youngster Gavi also looks certain to be back in the side.

Madrid, Oct 16 (Ians) Goals from Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde and Rodrygo ensured a dominating win for Real Madrid against Fc Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday for the first El Clasico of the season.
Fc Barcelona have lost for the first time this La Liga season and at the place where defeat hurts the most, the Santiago Bernabeu.
Without ever utterly dominating, Real Madrid scored twice in the first half and looked on steady course to win what had been a largely uneventful 250th edition of the biggest game in club football.
But especially after Ansu Fati entered the fray late on, Barcelona found the kind of energy they had been lacking until then, pulling one goal back and seriously threatening to take at least a point out of the game.
All hopes of that happening were ended by what many might feel was a rather harsh penalty call right at the end.

Madrid, Oct 14 (Ians) The ‘Clasico’ between Real Madrid and Fc Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night is the big game of Matchday 9 in La Liga, but there are other things to keep an eye out for as well this weekend in Spain.
1. Real Madrid to twist the knife against Barca?
It has not been a good week for Barcelona after the wildly entertaining but ultimately disastrous 3-3 draw at home to Inter Milan left them needing a miracle to avoid an early exit from the Champions League for the second year running.
Real Madrid look well-placed to rub salt into the wounds, given that Carlo Ancelotti’s men are already assured of their place in the last 16 of the competition, and apart from questions over Thibaut Courtois, they will have everyone available, reports Xinhua.
