Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s twelfth episode, series judge Ts Madison talks about the conclusion to the season where Jimbo was finally crowned. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of the finale, Bianca pointed out that Ts appearing on the recap series is the first time they’ve ever had a permanent Drag Race judge stop by to give their up close and unbiased opinion. Ts said that the biggest perk of the job as a judge is getting to see the queens do what they do, but she wishes she could sit at the dais for an entire season to really get to see the full growth of everyone competing. Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s tenth episode, season 13 champion and current fashion world “It Girl” Symone discuss the variety show featuring this season’s eliminated queens. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of the episode, Symone was “ready to talk smack,” even about her season 13 sisters Kandy Muse and Lala Ri. Symone said that Jimbo was a frontrunner “out the gate” from the moment she walked into the Werk Room in a nude body suit and flip flops. Bianca was still rooting for Jessica Wild and thought she could have won until Kandy eliminated her last week. Given the actual top two, Symone said she figured they would be there at the end, but they were both...

Following Friday’s ninth episode, former “All Stars” competitor, one-time host of “Pit Stop,” and season 13 alum Denali discusses where the competition stands as the makeover challenge brings the season down to two finalists. In their recap of the episode, Denali makes the statement that Kandy Muse is someone who is perfect for television and was made for a competition show like “Drag Race.” Denali was also sympathetic to the decisions that the girls are making in terms of the competition being hard to navigate — she said she understands why Heidi N Closet would be like “peace out” and why Alexis Michelle and Kandy would choose alliances over taking out “the competition...

As a writer/director, making your first foray into feature filmmaking can be pretty goddamned terrifying. Any mistakes made in your screenplay will only amplify and congeal as they cascade through the production workflow—your lofty ideas imperiled at every turn by financial and logistical realities, not to mention the fact that every step of the process is designed to make you feel like an amateur, imposter and idiot. It’s been said of James Cameron that the Avatar filmmaker can step onto any set in any role and immediately do the job better than whoever was previously doing. Well… trust us: this is the exception.
In fact, most first-time feature auteurs are only qualified to be on set for one reason: they’re the only person in the world who knows what their movie looks and sounds like. But whatever the case, freshmen moviemakers can generally use all the help they can get.

After 15 seasons of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and 13 international spinoffs, the franchise has launched the careers of over 400 fierce drag queens. As those performers grow their careers, a select lucky few are granted the opportunity to return to the competition to compete on the Paramount+ sister series: “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.”
So far the world has seen eight seasons of “All Stars,” with winners that include Alaska, Trixie Mattel, Shea Couleé, and Kylie Sonique Love. Given the wild success of the franchise, it’s safe to assume that plenty more fan favorites will be making return trips to the mainstage for more “All Stars” seasons. With only a few spots available for each iteration, here are 10 queens who simply must be invited back to the show for their chance at a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.

I don’t think it’s a particularly well-kept secret but I am a massive fan of all things Ru Paul’s Drag Race! I honestly become overcome with excitement whenever a new season is announced but I have to admit that I am not watching as many of the international franchises as I would like to due to the sheer volume of them. Right now, for example, there are four separate iterations of the show running simultaneously. While I don’t have an issue with the volume of Drag Race seasons, I think it is the frequency that stops me from being able to watch as many of the shows as I would have liked to! With the four seasons airing at the same time this would mean that over half the evening every week would be taken up with some form of drag show which is totally not viable for me!

I have to admit that I personally did not enjoy last weeks episode of Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK! The queens competed in the first-ever Fugly (friend you got to love yourself) ball but for the first time ever the series took a much more game show approach to the episode which had the queens racing against the clock. On Fashion Photo Review series on YouTube, where two drag race queens from previous seasons review the outfits the queens wear in each episode, drag race season 1 queen Cheryl Hole and season thirteen US queen Denali (who I recently saw perform in a local bar with the review of that event available here) talked about how difficult this category is to judge. They discussed how the queens had to simultaneously look good and ugly and so deciding who was at the top or bottom of the challenge was insanely difficult.

We have finally reached the final episode of Ru Paul’s Drag Race! This has been a season that has created some incredibly iconic moments like Lala Ri’s bag dress compared to Utica’s sleeping bag outfit or Symone’s powerful BLM outfit. We also had the first-ever trans man competing on the show (Gottmik) who has given us some of the most incredible looks we have ever seen on the runway! Despite everyone online commenting on how this is the never-ending season, I think everyone will be missing their Drag Race fix and this season provided some entertainment when the world needed it most! The whole cast and crew should be proud that they have managed to produce such a fantastic season despite the current global situation.
This weeks review starts with some good and some bad news (apart from the obvious one of it being the final episode.

This weeks episode of Ru Paul’s Drag Race was not a traditionally normal one. As we are only one episode away from the finale of the season, the queen met up (albeit virtually) to talk about the season and recap some of the most iconic moments. I talked in a previous review about how this season seems to be never-ending due to the earlier episodes where no one was eliminated (which *spoiler alert* happens again this week as it is the reunion episode) and the infamous double-saving of both Kandy Muse and Symone when they were both in the bottom (which reminds me we haven’t had a double elimination in a long time!) To put this into perspective, season one of Ru Paul’s Drag Race only had nine-episodes and this season will have 16… which is almost double! I think it was a good idea for this season...

Grab your cups, Drag Race fans. The "reunion" on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 13 Episode 15 was more of a clip show than an actual reunion.
Reunions give the queens a chance to discuss any plots and drama to work through what happened during the competition. Instead of a collaborative night, everything seemed separated and segmented.
Too much filler for a night that should've been one to get viewers excited for the grand finale.
"Reunited" is the case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
The Drag Race reunions had found their rhythm since RuPaul's Drag Race Season 9 when they became a separate episode to get the queens together. Previously, most reunions got looped into the finales with small segments and chats.
The change in recent seasons was a breath of fresh air because it created one of the most anticipated hours and always delivered on bringing key discussions/drama.

Ahead of next week’s grand finale, the queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13 reunited (mostly virtually) on Friday to spill some tea, throw some shade and, most importantly, promote some Bubly Bounce. (Symone deserves an Emmy for that delivery.)
The nine eliminated queens — Kahmora Hall, Joey Jay, Tamisha Iman, Lala Ri, Elliott With 2 Ts, Denali, Tina Burner, Utica Queen and Olivia Lux — beamed in from their hometowns to get real about the goops and gags of the season, while the Top 4 — Gottmik, Rosé, Symone and Kandy Muse — stepped foot on the finale stage for the very first time.

Thirteen contestants originally entered the work room hoping to win “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 13, but now less than half remain. Of the Top 6 queens, who’s your personal favorite: Gottmik, Kandy Muse, Olivia Lux, Rose, Symone or Utica Queen? Vote in our poll below and then be sure to defend your choice in the comments section. Heads up: we ran a similar poll near the start of the season and Symone came out on top with 30% of the vote. Will she win this time, too?

In terms of challenge wins, no one even comes close to Symone’s record. She has a whopping four victories under her belt so far: “Condragulations,” “RuPaulmark Channel,” “Freaky Friday Queens” and “Pop! Goes The Queens.” That’s double the number as her nearest competitor, making her the obvious front-runner to join the “Drag Race” winners list. Keep...

Last week episodes of Ru Paul’s Drag Race had a theme that ran through the mini, main and lip-sync song which made it must more congestive viewing-wise! We also saw the very controversial elimination of Denali whom many thought would win the competition.
If you remember, Denali was told to leave after Olivia made her over into her doppelgänger; where Denali had to lip-sync as Olivia against Olivia dressed as Denali which must have been a very surreal experience. However, if you have some spare time, Denali does incredible weekly ice skating performances to the lip-sync songs of each episode which are amazing to watch! On top last week were Symone and Utica, which I have mixed feelings about, but the rest of the season now has the added pressure of being the only season of Drag Race being released – so they need to bring all the entertainment! So onto this weeks episode…...

If last week on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” was about translating your drag brand on to the face and body of another queen, then this week is about selling that brand message to the masses. After a peer-swap makeover challenge that saw two-time winner Olivia Lux fall to the bottom and send her friend Denali home, host RuPaul Charles thought it’d be fun to double-down on brand messaging with the top 7 by asking them to create and sell in a commercial their own can of soda pop inspired by their own brand as a drag queen.

Last week on the “RuPaul’s Drag Race” runway, six different queens named Olivia Lux as the person who should go home. Host RuPaul Charles took that advice under consideration, but ultimately told Olivia’s makeover partner Denali to “sashay away” instead. When the contestants all return to the work room during Friday’s 11th episode, Olivia reacts (a bit too calmly) to the queens naming her. “It’s one of those things where I just don’t take things personally,” declares the 26-year-old queen in VH1’s sneak peek video (watch above). “I moved to New York with that motto. It’s just drag. I know you girls so I know it comes from a place of love.”

In last weeks episode of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, we saw the return of the iconic snatch games with had a very mixed bag of impressions. We had a modern interpretation of Mary Queen of Scots by Rosè (who has since created a hilarious sketch of this character adapting to modern life in New York) and most notable an stellar performance of Gotmik as Paris Hilton which was so great that she was deemed the winner of the entire episode. On the other end of the spectrum, we had an interesting performance by Utica as Bob Ross complete with a squirrel Afro (no really!) to avoid any claims of cultural appropriation and a poor performance by Eliott who eventually was told to sashay away. The episode also showcases Seymone being unapologetically black as her snatch was Harriet Tubman and her BLM inspired outfit on the runway was one of...
