Cameron Moody is an American composer, conductor, and trumpeter. He is active both in film and television, having written scores for projects from studios such as Netflix, HBO, Disney+, and more. He also made history in 2021 by becoming the youngest recipient of ASCAP's Henry Mancini Music Fellowship Award.
Most recently, he composed the score to "Kennedy" - an eight-part documentary series chronicling the life and legacy of 35th President John F. Kennedy - working alongside show creator Ashton Gleckman and composer Michael Frankenberger. The series premiered on the History Channel in November of 2023.
Other notable credits include additional music for Academy Award winner Jordan Peele's thrilling "Nope", as well as "Nightbooks", and "Allen v. Farrow" which received Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music and Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary Series or Special.
In the world of television, he has worked both as a conductor and a composer, writing additional music for an upcoming franchise series (TBA 2024). He also provided orchestrations and arrangements for "Zootopia+", the Disney+ vignette series based on the 2016 film.
As a composer of concert music, he has written works that have been performed across the world. In 2022, he conducted the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica in a performance of his piece "Celebrate the Arts!", written especially for the concert. His piece "Theme for Better Days" (written for studio trumpet legend Rob Schaer), was most recently performed in Spain by the Spanish Radio & Television Symphony Orchestra (RTVE). Upcoming commissions include a work for cello and orchestra, as well as a song cycle for soprano and piano.
