Sharona was born in Tehran, Iran where her family moved her at an early age to Israel and then to United States. Initially wanting to be a Fashion designer, she was always inspired by the theater & film industry and at the age of 25 started to train in theater. Sharona first attracted attention in the Gene Frankel Theater for the part of Gittel written by William Gibson, she appeared in such Off-Broadway productions as “Grotesque Love Songs”, Savage in Limbo” and “Barefoot in the Park”. She then decided to turn her focus on TV shows and the film industry. She did a few short films and then Independent features, she was featured in “Sex and the City”, HBO Series and was also featured in “One Life to Live” ABC-Daytime Serial. She was also in “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn” As the Iraqi Mother.
