Timbaland’s been busy. Over the last year, while the producer was introducing the world to Verzuz and brokering deals with Apple Music and Peloton, he was also quietly putting finishing touches on a new platform called Beatclub — an early version of which went live a few months ago. The online hub acts as both a social platform for music-makers and a marketplace for the selling of songs, beats, and more. O Canada: The Ottawa Senators hockey team saluted a beloved fellow Canadian, late “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek, with a moment of silence before their season-opening game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday night, ESPN has reported.
During the pre-game salute in which Trebek was hailed as a “Canadian icon,” it was noted that the hockey-lover celebrated his induction as a member of the Order of Canada in 2017 at a Senators home game. Trebek often mentioned his Canadian roots in his chats with “Jeopardy!” contestants and had appeared during All-Star Game events and at the NHL Awards.
The moment of silence was a shared tribute for Trebek and John Muckler, the former general manager of the Senators who died on Jan. 4.

The former home of the King of Pop may be landing in the hands of a king of investments.
Steven Mayer, who TMZ identifies as a “a super-rich investment banker,” has reportedly purchased the home where Michael Jackson passed away in 2009 for between $17 and $20 million. The house, which has been listed for as much as $29 million since the singer’s death, has attracted interest from a wide range of famous buyers, including Robbie Williams, as well as at least one other unnamed “major celebrity” but it seems it's Mayer’s zeal that’s won the day.
TMZ attempted to get in touch with Mayer's real estate agent, who is also reportedly the agent for the seller of the home, but didn't hear back.
The home just days after Jackson's death in June, 2009:
