Multi-award winning artist, writer and creator of the beloved comic strip Dark Dad & Company, Corey Van Duinen has been changing the face of his native town of Grand Rapids, Michigan with his creativity and now has set his sites on changing the face of TV with his soon to be released Dark Dad Claymation series of shorts.
The character of Dark Dad is that of a struggling artist just trying to get through his embittered exhausting existence until the sweet freedom of death takes away the pain.
The comic has been recognized by a variety of stars for it's unique comedic slant. Robert Downey Jr., Maynard Keenan (Tool) and Ryan Reynolds are just a few that have given some virtual love to the strip. Don Cheadle, for two months, even used one Dark Dad comic for his twitter icon during the 2016 election which went viral prompting Newsweek to feature it on one of their articles as well as Jim Gaffigan debating it on his Twitter page.
His satirical illustrations have also been appreciated and/or purchased by Micheal Rooker, Denise Nickerson (Violet Beauregarde) and Ed Solomon (Writer of Bill and Teds and Men in Black.)
Other credits:
Author and Illustrator of "Owen Imagines a Trip to the Zoo" children's book.

Illustrator of "A Kid Named Syd" Children's book. Written by Dr. Carolyn King and Dr. Melvin Oatis.
Animator of "Ain't It Great To Be Crazy" Music Video song by Kevin Kammeraad.
