The big content creators of YouTube often get into feuds with each other. Recently, in October 2023, there was a new alarming drama that exploded on YouTube between two giant creators. These creators are Jacksfilms and SSSniperWolf. Their arguments spread like wildfire online after the latter went to the former’s house, revealed his house address, and posted it online for a lot of people to see. But how did it come to this? And what happened after this incident? Here’s everything you need to know. What Does Jacksfilms Have To Do With SSSniperWolf? John Patrick Douglass, more commonly known by...

YouTube has temporarily demonetized a video on SSSniperwolf‘s channel after she went to Jacksfilms‘ house and posted a video of it on Instagram.
For those of you not caught up with the tension between Jacksfilms (aka Jack Douglass) and SSSniperwolf (aka Alia Shelesh), we put together a writeup last week. But the essentials are:
most of SSSniperwolf’s modern internet presence is built on reaction content she often does not credit the people who originally posted the clips she reacts to Douglass takes issue with that failure to credit, arguing it’s content theft, and says Shelesh at times purposefully obscures original creators’ names Douglass launched a channel parodying her reaction content style and has been urging YouTube to deplatform her
This all came to a head Oct. 13 when Shelesh decided to show up at Douglass’ house. She filmed a video of herself outside and posted it on Instagram.

A feud between two prominent creators has reached its boiling point. Jack Douglass, the veteran videomaker behind the Jacksfilms channel, is asking YouTube to deplatform Alia “SSSniperwolf” Shelesh after she came to his home address unannounced and posted a photo of his house on Instagram.
Douglass, whose YouTube career dates back to the platform’s earliest days, is a longtime critic of reaction videos. Last year, the commentator known for formats like Yiay set his sights on Shelesh, who ranks among the internet’s most-watched creators. Douglass argued that Shelesh’s reaction content — which has brought more than 34 million subscribers to her primary YouTube channel — is nothing more than thinly-veiled content theft.
To emphasize his point, Douglass launched an entire channel dedicated to SSSniperwolf-style reaction content. His continued jabs led to a war of words between the two creators. Eventually, their feud grew into something more serious, resulting in...

Veteran creator Jack Douglass is introducing today a YouTube Original pilot called Yiay Time: The Game Show. Yiay stands for Yesterday I Asked You -- a six-year-old series on Douglass’ JacksFilms channel, in which he asks viewers a quirky question (What movie deserves a sequel? What is your best pickup line? What will be the big fad in 2021?) and then reads his favorite answers in a subsequent video.
Yiay Time: The Game Show is live and interactive, thanks to the participation of a virtual audience. The series will pit Douglass against friends, fans, and fellow creators in a battle of the wits -- with audiences voting on the winning or losing answers to random questions based on their creativity and wit.
"Yiay Time feels more like a hectic, live game show than any other format I've tried.” Douglass, who has iterated the Yiay concept across many different mediums, said in a statement.

After 440 episodes, YouTuber Jack Douglass is taking his hit video series Yesterday I Asked You (aka Yiay) live — and hosting it on Twitch.
Douglass, whose YouTube channel JacksFilms has nearly 4.4 million subscribers, has been putting out primarily Yiay videos since 2015. The premise is simple: in each video, he asks viewers to answer a question, and in the next video, he reads out the best/weirdest answers -- then asks another question.
Yiay Live, for which the tagline is ‘Stupid Answers To Stupid Questions,’ will work similarly, but in a game show format. Douglass, of course, will host, and each show will comprise five rounds, with one question per round. For the first four rounds, anyone watching on Twitch can answer questions in Twitch chat. Douglass will then choose his five favorite answers, and viewers will vote to pick their favorite out of those. In the last round, the four winners...

On December 6, YouTube released the 2017 edition of its Rewind video, in which close to 300 creators paid tribute to some of the year's most notable trends. The annual Rewind tradition serves as a celebration of the power of online video, but some creators want to make sure that the less savory YouTube-related headlines of 2017 receive attention as well. In the days after the video site published its big compilation, several parodies versions have arrived, with some of them achieving seven-digit view counts.
The most popular Rewind parody so far has come from creator KeeperAction, whose satire of YouTube has pulled 1.6 million views in three days. His video, rather than adopting a triumphant tone, references scandals like the adpocalypse (which he represents with a yellow dollar sign) and controversial videomakers like RiceGum.
Another parody, from Jack Douglass of Jacksfilms, focuses on the controversial Paul brothers, Jake and Logan.

Earlier this year, we covered fitness powerhouse Beachbody's "YouTube test group," where a set of top online video creators - including Jack Douglass, Bart Baker, Olga Kay, and Shira Lazar - collectively dropped over 100 pounds and 85 inches by way of Tony Horton's P90 program. The before and after photos seemed too good to be true—commenters cried 'air brush' and 'spray tan.' So when we caught wind of a new class of YouTubers for Beachbody's 21 Day Fix Extreme program with trainer Autumn Calabrese, we had to get an inside look at the process to make sure it was legit.
The new group underwent back-to-back twenty-one day programs and featured Jennifer Veal, SourceFed stars Lee Newton and Steve Zaragoza, Timothy DeLaGhetto, Rick Carter, Shane Dawson, and yours truly. Now the last time I covered a story as an embedded journalist, I did a ridealong with the Good Cops, and things went horribly wrong.

By now, you’ve probably read about Apple’s announcement about their new Apple Watch, and if you haven’t, you’re not missing anything. At least, that’s what Jack Douglass (known as Jacksfilms on Youtube) is assuming in his recent parody video, “The Apple Watch.” Douglass released his video yesterday on September 9, the same day as Apple’s announcement. The parody intentionally mocks the so-called “features” of the new device, which Douglass keeps mis-labelling as the “iWatch,” an obvious jab at Apple’s deviation from their typical nomenclature. He also questions the effectiveness of viewing YouTube videos or browsing images on such a tiny screen, the inclusion of maps which we already have on our smartphones, and the realm of other unnecessary features like “sharing heartbeats.” Douglass’s video reflects many of the negative opinions (either unspoken or public) about the Watch already floating around the internet since its announcement.

Top Streamy nominee MyMusic is back. The musical sitcom, created by Benny and Rafi Fine, has returned for its second season, with old favorites joined by new cast members and an expanded transmedia empire. The basic gist of the series is unchanged: Indie (Adam Busch) and Idol (Grace Helbig) run a studio staffed by human incarnations of specific musical genres. For season 2, The Fine Bros have added Country, played by SourceFed's Lee Newton, to the main cast. She is introduced as Idol's cousin and will purposefully get on viewers' nerves very quickly. The one main cast member who seems to have a much larger role is the only one not named after a genre: Jack Douglass Intern 2, who is starting to seem like the show's breakout character. More than six months after it aired its last episode, MyMusic has resurfaced. The Fine Bros have released a trailer for the musical sitcom's second season, which will return old favorites while also enlisting the talents of several new cast members. Jacksfilms) struck gold with The Wtf Blanket, a parody of a late night television commercial about the Snuggie: a fleece, body-length blanket with sleeves. Though not his virgin video effort, the 1:45 clip scored over 20 million views and set the tone for his future films: So what can we learn from a film student who used YouTube to kickstart his filmmaking career? Do-It-Yourself or die trying. Back in 2009, American University senior Jack Douglass lived off-campus in a small attic with several friends and was so broke he was living off of Ramen Noodle packages. We don’t mean the noodles, we mean the actual packages. So he found a Snuggies commercial online and redubbed it with his own audio commentary.
