Fans of the classic Nickelodeon show Victorious were in for a treat recently. While the show ended eleven years ago, it continues to enjoy a loyal fan following online. Social Media, especially TikTok and YouTube, are rife with fan tributes and edits featuring the main cast of the series.
The members of the show also got in on the action recently when Victoria Justice and Daniella Monet were seen having a mini-reunion on TikTok that left netizens in a tizzy. While most fans were happy to see the former co-stars together again, there was also a sense of sadness. The reunion was a reminder of the fact that Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato do not have a similar relationship despite also being former co-stars.

Big Brother 24 winner Taylor Hale shared some fun new videos about her relationship with Joseph Abdin.
Taylor and Joseph met as BB24 cast members, and it looked like they were developing feelings for one another.
An official showmance for Jaylor never panned out, mostly because Joseph was evicted during the infamous Split House twist.
As a reminder, the BB24 cast was split in half midway through the season, with half the players forced to live a week in the backyard.
Joseph recently posted a remark about his BB24 elimination, answering a query from host Julie Chen Moonves about the most memorable Double Evictions.
After playing Big Brother, Taylor and Joseph reunited in the real world, where they began a romantic relationship. The couple didn’t remain together but have stayed very close since then.

Singer-songwriter Beyonce is set to perform at the upcoming edition of MTV Video Music Awards to mark its 40th anniversary this September.
This is the first time since 2016 when the ‘Cowboy Carter’ hitmaker will grace its stage, reports ‘Mirror.co.uk’.
Back in 2016, she won eight trophies, and performed a 16-minute Lemonade medley.
Even having earned VMA nominations in 2018, 2020 and 2021, the 42-year-old still didn’t grace the show with an appearance and skipped last year to tour with Renaissance.
“Beyonce is a huge get for the VMAs and will be a huge ratings draw,” a source said.
“She is currently figuring out how her appearance will look and whether it will be one song or a tribute similar to her 2014 closing performance when she received the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.”
The source continued: “As it’s such a big year, the ceremony wants to reclaim some of its...

A Let’s Make a Deal contestant got a bit handsy while contemplating an offer for another prize.
During a recent segment on the show, Wayne Brady was on stage wearing a mustache as he presented a game for prizes.
The pair of contestants had to write down either “TV” or “Camp” on white cards to see if their answers matched to win a prize.
When Brady asked them to reveal their cards, the buzzer sounded as they each had a different answer.
“Oh no. Oh, my goodness. Well, that was not a match,” Brady said before asking each of them to explain why they answered the way they did.
“Because I like TVs,” the woman said after the guy said he wrote camping because he was “going camping tomorrow” and has a lot of TVs.

Halle Bailey is showing her appreciation for all she has learned in the industry, from starting out as a musical duo with her sister to leading one of the biggest movies last year and kicking off her solo music career.
The singer-actress spoke about her unique path as an artist at the Grammy U Masterclass on Friday, moderated by Muni Long.
Bailey and her older sister, Chloe Bailey, initially got noticed from the music covers they would post on YouTube as teenagers. But things changed once Beyoncé discovered them and signed the sister R&b duo Chloe x Halle to her label in 2015.
“I don’t think I would be able to be in this industry or start this way without her, you know, because she was the one that was pulling us both forward to be like, ‘Come on, we can do this,’” she said of her sister, adding...

It’s been almost 20 years since Mariah Carey last won a Grammy, so when she received the Global Impact Award from the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective, she offered a dose of her signature comical shade.
“Is this a real Grammy? I haven’t seen one in soooooo long,” she said Thursday night as she held the award.
“It’s weird. I don’t know,” Carey continued while laughing as the audience at the Fairmont Century Plaza cheered her on. “We’ll figure out what this is later.”
Carey is easily one of the best-selling acts of all-time and holds the record for most No. 1 hits — 20 — by a solo artist. She’s been nominated for 34 Grammys, winning five: best new artist and best female pop vocal performance (“Vision of Love”) in 1991, as well as three R&b honors at the 2006 ceremony for “We Belong Together” and The Emancipation of Mimi.

The 66th Grammy nominations are just days away, and one of the most exciting races is Best New Artist, a category that can make or break a career. Usually an amalgamation of some of the biggest genres around, the award typically has a great mix of huge breakouts and hidden gems. But among so many worthy debutantes, which eight will make up the class of 2024?
The biggest lock for a nomination this year is Ice Spice. The Bronx rapper has made waves with her infectious style and collaborations with big artists like Nicki Minaj, PinkPantheress, Lil Tjay, and Taylor Swift. Such major collaborations are already a big deal, but Ice has also scored hits on her own, like “In Ha Mood” and “Deli.” Following her victory at the 2023 VMAs for Best New Artist, Ice might continue her hot streak with a Grammy victory, especially with possible support from both rap and pop voters.

Stars have been coming together to share support for the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strike since it officially commenced on July 14 after ongoing negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) failed. News of the actors' strike came a little over two months after the Writers Guild of America's (WGA) labor union declared a writers' strike on May 2, which many celebrities also showed support for.
The writers' strike officially reached an end on Sept. 27 after the union reached a three-year agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers the day prior. WGA members will vote to ratify the agreement by Oct. 9, and the deal is expected to pass.
The actors' strike, meanwhile, is very much still in progress. SAG-aftra's strike had been brewing since the union headed into negotiations with producers in June, aiming to secure better...

Before Justin Bieber's "Journals," there was Ariana Grande's "Yours Truly."
It was Aug. 30, 2013, and Grande - who rose to fame on Nickelodeon's "Victorious" and "Sam & Cat" - suddenly emerged as a musical superstar with her debut album. Thanks to her dreamy voice and impressive range, the budding phenom, who was then 20 years old, proved she was so much more than just a teen star.
The album was a testament of how '90s R&b, hip-hop, pop, and doo-wop can complement one another. Paired with production by Babyface, The Rascals (Leon Thomas III and Khris Riddick-Tynes), Antonio Dixon, Harmony Samuels, Tommy Brown (aka TBHits), as well as cowriting credits from the aforementioned and Victoria Monét, Sevyn Streeter, Jordin Sparks, and Priscilla Renea (now Muni Long), "Yours Truly" was an instant victory. I am not a gearhead, so I have always looked at the Fast and the Furious franchise from a distance. But their popularity makes them hard to avoid. Fast X, the tenth installment in the series, arrives on disc and streaming this week from Universal Home Entertainment and no doubt entertains those who have been there from the beginning.
As with any franchise with multiple chapters, there’s the core set of characters and then all the supporting players who drop in and out of these chapters as needed. And, to keep things interesting, new players are added, usually the antagonist and maybe a new ally or frenemy.
Here, we have the sociopathic Dante (Jason Momoa) seeking vengeance on Dom (Vin Diesel) for the death of his father (Joaquim de Almeida) a decade earlier, as depicted in Fast Five. With seemingly limitless cash and men at his disposal, he has...

If you plan to attend Usher's "My Way" Las Vegas residency, you'll want to arrive early because you don't want to miss the preshow dance party courtesy of his unmatched fans. As I walked into the Park MGM arena for the show I was attending in late June, my ears were greeted with classic R&b and hip-hop songs like Tevin Campbell's "Can We Talk" and Miguel's "Adorn You" as a DJ encouraged us to stand, dance, and sing along with the rest of the audience. Usher's dancers even came out and interacted with the audience, inviting some lucky attendees to dance with them on stage. The vibes felt more like a house party with all of my best friends than a concert surrounded by strangers. So much so that I didn't even realize the show was starting.

The Grammy winner wore a cropped bejeweled corset with black leather shorts and thigh-high black boots onstage, as she performed her songs.
In a recent interview with Essence, the R&b singer shared that she uses a steamer with ginger to prepare for her performances and expressed her appreciation for New Orleans being a “predominantly Black city,” saying that “everybody feels like a distant cousin” where “you feel warm and taken care of.”
“It’s important for Black people to have safe spaces to go and celebrate each other and fellowship,” she said. “Being in the city of New Orleans, it’s just like a celebration of Blackness and Black people deserve to have more spaces where we can just be ourselves.”

The 2023 BET Awards honored the 50th anniversary of hip-hop with dozens of performances that played like a musical family reunion as pioneers of the genre blazed the stage during a hostless but party-filled show held during the writers strike.
The Sugarhill Gang, Big Daddy Kane, Mc Lyte, Doug E. Fresh, Erick Sermon and Keith Murray performed Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, celebrating rap music and honoring its roots as well as its domination in pop culture.
Ja Rule, Red Man, E-40, Master P, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Styles P, T.I., Fabolous, Trick Daddy, Trina, Uncle Luke and Skillz hit the stage, helping the four-hour-show flow during the writers strike, which several presenters acknowledged before giving out awards, including Grammy-winning singer Muni Long.
“Let’s take a moment to acknowledge and stand in solidarity with the artists who make us laugh, cry and, most important, think — our Writers Guild of America family.

Muni Long took the stage at the 2023 BET Awards to acknowledge the writers strike and the members of the WGA.
“I must take a moment to acknowledge and stand in solidarity with the artists who make us laugh, cry, and most importantly, think — our Writers Guild of America family,” Long said before presenting Kaliii’s performance.
She continued, “Writers are, in many instances, the glue to the execution of artistry and storytelling. Our ability to extract emotion from performers helping them to articulate their voices and vision to the world is irreplaceable. The protection of the writer is crucial. We simply must protect our intellectual property.”

The BET Awards ceremony went without a host for its performance-heavy telecast Sunday on BET from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Coco Jones, Burna Boy, Latto and Beyoncé Knowles were among the artists who scored wins at this year’s celebration of music, film, television and sports.
This year’s awards show packed the broadcast with music performances honoring the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, along with highlighting the year’s top talent. Only a fraction of the awards were announced during the live show.
Performer Lil Uzi Bert opened the show alongside hip-hop legends The Sugarhill Gang, who performed their hit “Rapper’s Delight.” Other highlights included tributes to Tupac Shakur and Biz Markie, along with Migos collaborators Quavo and Offset reuniting onstage to pay tribute to their late bandmate Takeoff (who died in November). Warren G. performed “Regulate” and Tyga went back to his hit song “Rack City.

When it comes to movie soundtracks, the Fast & Furious franchise excels. Over 22 years and 10 movies, the franchise has produced countless musical hits tied to its films. From classics like "2 Fast 2 Furious"'s "Act a Fool" by Ludacris and "Fast & Furious"'s "Blanco" by Pitbull and Pharrell to the more emotional offerings like "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth from "Furious 7," there's a Fast & Furious franchise hit for fans of any musical genre.
The franchise added another standout track to its roster with the May 18 release of "Angel Pt. 1." The song featured a lineup of musical artists from all different corners of the music industry: Nle Choppa, Kodak Black, BTS's Jimin, Jvke, and Muni Long. The music video featured high-octane clips from "Fast X" interspersed with the artists performing their verses passionately.

There's something particularly profound about Mary J. Blige holding her Strength of a Woman festival in the heart of Black culture's mecca. This year, the queen of hip-hop soul returned to Atlanta from May 11-14 for her second annual "by us for us" event - an uplifting, fulfilling, and fun-filled experience that catered to every woman in attendance. And boy, did they have a time.
The best way to describe the Strength of a Woman festival is like a warm hug from your family matriarch, welcoming you with open arms for the most captivating weekend of your life.
