Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Trixie Mattel recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s ninth episode, season 15 finalist and “Drag Race” superfan girlie Luxx Noir London makes her recap debut. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of the episode, Luxx tells Trixie that she’s enjoying the new season and claims credit for the “Rate a Queen” twist because of how she rated the girls on her own season. Once again, Trixie wants to gag over how flawless Morphine Love Dion‘s makeup skills are and Luxx agrees that she’s “the mug of the season.” They also understand Dawn and Sapphira Cristál growing frustrated with their placements near the top because while they’re very good at their own crafts, other queens with more wins like Plasma, Q...

Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Trixie Mattel recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s eighth episode, reigning champion and Mother of season 15 Sasha Colby makes her recap debut to break down this season’s “Snatch Game” performances. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.
In their recap of the episode, Sasha and Trixie have fun addressing the “unsolicited shade” of this season and how even when Plane Jane calls anyone “sister” feels like subtle shade as well. Sasha gives Jane some defense by admitting that as drag queens they all “just have a crippling desire for people to love us” and Jane is no different. When it came to the reading challenge of her season, Sasha was impressed by Loosey Laduca and Malaysia Babydoll Foxx; this season the standouts for her were Jane and Xunami Muse.

So far in the history of “killer bear” cinema, only Grizzly Park opens with an excerpt from The Bible. As “The Children Destroyed by Bears” goes (without getting too deep into other interpretations), a pair of bears mauled many kiddos after they insulted God’s prophet. The absurdity of such a tale would naturally lead to a movie just as, if not more inane. However, who or what exactly is pulling the strings in Tom Skull’s one and only directed feature is not so clear, at first. Is this fuzzy destroyer acting of its own free will, being manipulated by a human, or is there really an omnipotent force meting out bizarre retribution for naughty youths? In a movie as oddball as Grizzly Park, not a single one of those notions would be considered unsuitable.

After a season that contained brief sparks of the magic that made the original "Frasier" so beloved, the Paramount+ revival series actually ended on a high note. The "Frasier" reboot season finale stacked up quite well against previous Christmas episodes, featuring a classic Frasier dinner party gone awry and some decently executed farce that recalled the original sitcom's inimitable mix of humor and heart.
But there's no doubt the best part of the finale was the return of Peri Gilpin. Across all 11 seasons of the original sitcom, the actor played Roz, Frasier's producer at Seattle radio station Kacl. The character became just as beloved as the rest of the supporting cast, which included David Hyde Pierce as Frasier's equally pompous brother Niles, John Mahoney as the brothers' father Martin, and Jane Leeves as housekeeper and Martin's carer, Daphne. But none of these other actors chose to return for the revival show,...

“If you look at the history of Hollywood, 50%, 60%, maybe 70% of the stories are based on books or IP or games. There’s a big gap between how Europe thinks about developing television and the Hollywood system,” producer Erik Barmack reflected a few months back.
“There’s just tremendous opportunities now as the market’s tightening to find source IP where, you know, there’s an installed audience,” he added.
Now Europe and indeed Latin America is catching up. In one of its biggest innovations of 2023, Ventana Sur has launched a Buenos Aires version of Shoot the Book! offering IPs from a clutch of Argentina’s highest rated novelists and a best-selling French author, as one star attraction of its multitudinous titled El Principio del Film.

It’s a chilly February evening on the Paramount lot as Kelsey Grammer transforms into Frasier Crane for the first time in nearly two decades. It’s an emotional moment on set, both nostalgic and anticipatory. The sets are new, as is every cast member besides Grammer. But behind the camera, legendary director James Burrows shares some continuity with Grammer — having been there from the character’s 1984 beginning on “Cheers.”
Even months later, with the 2023 “Frasier” now on the air (via Paramount+), Grammer gets choked up when asked about what returning to the character — and having institutions like Burrows (one of the original “Cheers” creators) back on board — means to him.
“It’s a piece of personal heaven for me that Jimmy Burrows is still in my life,” Grammer says, his voice cracking just a bit. “And I will always feel that way about him. He’s really helpful. And...

Thursday’s episode of Paramount+’s “Frasier” revival saw the return of Dr. Lilith Sternin – the ex-wife of Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) and mother of Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott) – as the two parents compete for their son’s affection during his birthday.
Showrunner Joe Cristalli (“Life In Pieces”) told TheWrap that “nothing was more enjoyable as a fan to watch” than seeing Grammer and Neuwirth’s characters go toe-to-toe zinging each other again.
“There’s a version of this show where ‘Oh, Lilith and Frasier are a little softer now, they found a nice balance and they’re starting to come around’ and no, that’s not the case,” Cristalli told TheWrap. “They’re still going at each other hard and it’s so fun to write for that. It’s so fun for such a specific voice to come up with these insults and jokes that nobody else can perform except for Kelsey and Bebe.

Season one of Max’s Julia introduced Sarah Lancashire as Julia Child, the iconic chef and author who taught American television audiences the art of cooking with The French Chef. The first season delved into Child’s personal and professional life while charting her ascension to TV star. Season two picks up the larger-than-life television personality in France, where she and her loving husband, Paul (David Hyde Pierce), are visiting Simca (Isabella Rossellini) and working on a new cookbook.
Series creator, writer, and executive producer Daniel Goldfarb revealed that they intended to go to France in season one, but that never transpired. Once the series was renewed for season two, there was never a question the story would include a trip to the South of France.
“We got Isabella Rossellini to play Simca Beck, Julia’s writing partner, and then just because of Covid and everything, it became too complicated.

Frasier dove into the world of academics and brought us more than just a fashion show displaying the latest in the world of tweeds during Frasier Season 1 Episode 3.
We got a glimpse into why Frasier's recent talk show was so popular and perhaps why he decided to leave it behind.
While some moments were classic Frasier, others brought the idea of psychology as entertainment to a new low.
It's not difficult to believe that Frasier went down this road. Although he's a brilliant psychiatrist, he's also got an ego the size of the Grand Canyon.
Where NIles was happy in private practice helping patients one at a time, Frasier enjoyed doing his work in the public eye.
It's never taken much to lure Frasier towards the limelight. Although he tried to hold to certain standards on his radio show, when it came to having his face on TV, those ideals became more negotiable.

It’s Frasier Week at IndieWire. Grab some tossed salad and scrambled eggs, settle into your coziest easy chair, and join us. We’re listening.
The setup is a classic farce: Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) feels guilty that his live-in housekeeper Daphne (Jane Leeves) is having trouble finding a boyfriend, so he invites his attractive new radio station boss Tom (Eric Lutes) over for drinks in the hopes of setting them up. What he doesn’t know is that Tom is gay, and — misled by Frasier’s petty producer Roz (Peri Gilpin) — thinks Frasier is also gay and inviting him on a date. Over the course of an increasingly chaotic evening, a series of mishaps and misunderstandings — Frasier telling Tom about the great view “from his bedroom,” his father Martin (John Mahoney) talking about a bar where he hangs out with young police officers, his brother Niles’ (David Hyde Pierce) entire...

Hey baby, do you hear the blues a-calling? We do! It’s been 30 years, but we still can’t get enough of “Frasier.” Luckily for us, there’s more “Frasier” on the horizon! Not many could have predicted that a “Cheers” spinoff about a lovably pompous psychiatrist unable to take his own advice would have been such a success, but it works, and more than that, it’s magic.
Part of the sitcom’s charm is that Frasier, as played by Kelsey Grammer, is routinely fallible. He’s pretentious, nitpicky, and status-obsessed, so we love to see him fall on his face. What’s unique about Frasier is that it’s never because of the fact he’s smart that he gets tripped up. It’s his pretention,...

Jbl Fest came to Las Vegas for the first time this year, partnering with the music festival Life Is Beautiful to bring a blend of sound, festivity, and surprise to the strip. It was only my second time in Las Vegas and my first time at a music festival in many years, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. But performances by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Killers, late-night appearances from Bruno Mars, and plenty of quirky touches created a nostalgia-fueled trip that simultaneously brought me back to the past and anchored me fully in the whirlwind present.
The festival was based at the Park MGM, a proudly eco-friendly hotel that charmed me from the get-go. After grabbing some snacks (and a complementary pair of bluetooth headphones) at Jbl's hospitality lounge, I spent the first afternoon of the two-day festival wandering around the spacious pool area and...

Dinner will be served at the end of May, and it’s going to be a real drag.

“I already know the drill,” says Bebe Rexha, holding her ID in one hand and a pen in the other as she signs into Markt dispensary, a weed shop in L.A.’s Studio City neighborhood. Rexha tried the Runtz Og last time she visited but wasn’t a fan, so she’s staying away from that strain this time. “I like Blue Dream,” she says, taking a sniff of a different hybrid strain. “Do you have any Blue Dream?”

Los Angeles, March 27 (Ians) ‘Say My Name’ hitmaker Bebe Rexha shared on social media that she got a mail with “used toilet paper” in it.
The 33-year-old shared on Twitter an image that showed what appeared to be toilet paper next to a letter she got in the mail, which was shipped from Miami, reports aceshowbiz.com.
In the caption, she wrote, “Someone mailed me used toilet paper,” adding a sick emoji.
Many have since reacted to the picture.
One Twitter user jokingly told Bebe to “sniff it,” to which she replied, “no way.”
Someone else, meanwhile, urged her to wash her hands. In response, the musician wrote, “Bro I washed them like 10 times.”
Another individual asked Bebe whether she usually receives strange packages in the mail. She answered it by writing, “No this is insane. Like wtf.”
On the work front, Bebe announced her third studio album earlier this month.

The original allegation, made by Temple University staffer Andrea Constand in 2005, was shocking: Could beloved comedian and TV dad Bill Cosby be guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman? After Constand's civil lawsuit against Cosby was settled out of court in 2006, the scandal began to fade from the headlines. That year, People published a story featuring three interviews with women who came forward by name to say Cosby similarly drugged and assaulted them. Today more than 40 women have claimed they allegedly fell victim to an icon who they say they once trusted. Cosby, through his attorneys, has repeatedly denied the allegations.

The nominees for the 2012 Latin Grammy awards are in, and Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra tops the list with six nods.
Guerra scored two of the 10 "Best Song" nominations for his "Azul Sabina" and "En El Cielo No Hay Hospital." The Dominican singer’s unique blend of merengue, bolero, bachata and rock has already earned him 12 Latin Grammys.
The list of nominees released Tuesday by the Latin Recording Academy includes both established musical titans such as Cuban jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, and relative newcomers, including Afro-Colombian hip hop group Choc Quib Town.
Brazil's Caetano Veloso, who first came to prominence in the 1960s playing a samba-infused style of rock known as Tropicalia, is up for four awards. Caetano will also be honored as the "2012 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year."
The Latin Grammys are scheduled for Nov. 15 in Las Vegas and will be televised by Univision.

"Mientes," by the Mexican rockers Camila, was named both Song and Record of the Year at the 11th Latin Grammy Awards Thursday night. However, the trio lost their Album of the Year bid -- for "Dejarte De Amar" -- to Dominican crooner Juan Luis Guerra ("A Son De Guerra"). Guerra, the winner of two Grammys, had nine Latin Grammys heading into the evening. Among those others he edged out for the top prize were 14-time Latin Grammy and two-time Grammy winner Alejandro Sánz ("Paraíso Express"), Bebe ("Y.") and Miguel Bosé ("Cardio"). Sanz did win Pop Male Vocalist. Camila's disc was named Pop Album while the ailing Argentian singer-songwriter Gustavo Cerati won both Rock Album ("Fuerza Natural") and Rock Song ("Déjà Vu"). Canadian singer Nelly Furtado took home Female Pop Vocalist for her first Spanish-language album "Mi Plan" and one of ...
