Breakout Australia comedy Colin From Accounts is back in production.
An official green light of Season 2 of the hit Binge sitcom came in August, after writers and stars Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer chose to down their pens in solidarity with WGA strike in the U.S. over the summer.
Exec producer Alison Hurbert-Burns from Binge told Deadline in October production would begin in “coming months,” adding: “As an Australian program it was outside of the strike, but they just felt it was the right thing to do.”
Brammall and Dyer finished the scripts once a deal was struck at the end of September. Production is now back underway across Sydney, with Easy Tiger Productions and CBS Studios returning the produce.

2023 is shaping up to be a year of action with films like John Wick: Chapter 4 and Fast X. Netflix‘s own Extraction proved to be a big hit for Chris Hemsworth outside of Marvel films, and though the first ended on somewhat of an open note regarding his character’s survival, the streamer has brought him back and is ready to give audiences the ride of their lives in the newly released posters of the sequel. Sam Hargrave returns to direct Hemsworth in more breathtakingly brutal action scenes for this year’s Extraction 2.
The official synopsis from Netflix reads,
Chris Hemsworth returns as Tyler Rake in Extraction 2, the sequel to Netflix’s blockbuster action film Extraction. After barely surviving the events of the first movie, Rake is back as the Australian black ops mercenary, tasked with another deadly mission: rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from...

Chris Hemsworth is returning as action man Tyler Rake in Netflix's "Extraction 2" this summer. While the movie will largely exist via the world of streaming, make no mistake: this is a genuine blockbuster. Returning director Sam Hargrave and producers Joe and Anthony Russo, aka the Russo brothers, pulled no punches this time around. Case in point, they straight-up lit Hemsworth on fire as part of a massive, 20-minute action sequence.
Speaking with Empire Magazine in the latest issue of the publication, Hargrave explained that the "Thor" star went to pretty impressive lengths to help make this massive action sequence something special. That included lighting his arm on fire over and over again during a massive brawl, which was teased in the movie's trailer. Here's what Hargrave had to say about it:

After being saved from a crash-landing by Netflix just two years ago, “Manifest” has just about reached its final destination. The NBC supernatural drama-turned Netflix original will premiere the back half of its fourth and final season on June 2, the streamer announced Friday. The news was accompanied by a teaser for the final episodes.
Created by Jeff Rake, “Manifest” debuted on NBC in September 2018. The show was a ratings success in its first season, attracting 10.3 million viewers for its pilot episode. The show’s numbers steadily declined across its following two seasons, and NBC pulled the plug on the drama in June 2021.
Although that cancellation would typically be the end of the series’ flight plan, “Manifest” unexpectedly found a new set of wings on Netflix. The streaming giant added all three “Manifest” seasons the same month NBC grounded the drama; the show quickly found an entirely new audience on the streamer,...

The latest teaser for Netflix’s action sequel Extraction 2 has Chris Hemsworth’s Australian black ops mercenary Tyler Rake taking on a new deadly mission as it’s revealed Rake survived the events of the original film.
In the sequel, Rake is tasked with rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster. Rake seemingly died in the original Extraction, which hit Netflix in 2020, but a last-minute reveal put that into question. Hemsworth’s death-defying stunts in the latest Extraction 2 trailer include endless punching and kicking and using a riot shield to beat off a chaotic swarm of attacks in a prison yard.

A lot of peculiar things happened during the early months of the pandemic some 12,000 years ago in 2020. With everybody stuck at home, many people tried their hand at baking bread or singing sea shanties on TikTok. Others devoted their free time to playing "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" and remain very proud of the house they built for themselves, Tom Nook's parasitic loans be damned. Oh, and with most theaters shut down, viewers were left with little choice but to turn to streaming services for their entertainment.
Perhaps no movie benefitted more from the lockdowns than Netflix's "Extraction." A cross between "John Wick" and "Man on Fire," the movie stars Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, a remarkably named black ops mercenary with a checkered past who's hired to rescue the son of an incarcerated Indian drug lord. Action is back, baby! While John Wick: Chapter 4 is blasting through the box office with a Dragon’s Breath shotgun, Chris Hemsworth also returns with his own fight and stunt spectacular with the Netflix sequel, Extraction 2. In the original, we are introduced to Tyler Rake, a mercenary who had taken on the assignment of seeking and rescuing the kidnapped son of a prisoned, international crime lord. After being presumed dead at the end of Netflix’s first “Extraction” film, Chris Hemsworth is back (surprise!) as black ops mercenary Tyler Rake for another high-octane mission.
In the first trailer for “Extraction 2,” Hemsworth’s Rake is revealed to be alive, and he’s wasting no time getting back to action. He brutally beats people down with a riot shield in what appears to be a prison break, uses the shield to deflect a fiery molotov cocktail, then proceeds to punch rioters with his burning fist.
Director Sam Hargrave returns for the sequel, as do producers Anthony and Joe Russo, who previously teamed with Hemsworth on “Avengers: Endgame.” After making his directorial debut with the first “Extraction,” the follow-up is Hargrave’s second film. He previously worked as a stunt coordinator with the Russos on “Avengers: Endgame,” “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Captain America: Civil War.”

Chris Hemsworth’s Tyler Rake sees his life flash before him amid a brutal brawl, in a new teaser for Extraction 2, the sequel to his hit Netflix action movie.
Based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Ande Parks, the original Extraction premiered way, way back in April 2020 and starred MCU vet Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, a fearless black market mercenary with nothing left to lose when his skills were solicited to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. Chris Hemsworth co-stars along with Golshifteh Farahani, Daniel Bernhardt, and Tinatin Dalakishvili. In the first one, Rake had to extract a boy safely from India. This time he must rescue the family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held. This is one hell of a teaser! Kicking things off with a 90-second long-take of a fight in the prison courtyard, ending with this epic helicopter showdown. Hell yes! Bring on Chris Hemsworth the Unkillable once again.

Chris Hemsworth’s Tyler Rake is very much alive in the first trailer for “Extraction 2,” the sequel to the hit 2020 Netflix actioner that ended with Hemsworth’s mercenary left for dead.
Sam Hargrave returns to direct “Extraction 2,” which finds Rake tasked with another deadly mission: rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held. Indeed, the sequel trades the sweaty Bangladesh landscape of the first film for snowy Georgia.
The teaser offers up a bit on how Rake survived the end of “Extraction,” but the bulk of the footage is a long shot in which Rake fights his way through a barrage of baddies.
When released in 2020, “Extraction” quickly became one of the most-watched Netflix original films ever, and the streamer quickly greenlit a sequel.
Joe and Anthony Russo’s Agbo produces “Extraction 2” and Joe Russo wrote the script.
