Shea Gunther(I)
- Art Department
Shea was born in 1978 in Littleton, New Hampshire. After moving around
in his early life, he settled down in the Mount Washington Valley, New
Hampshire and attended Kennett High School. After graduation from
Kennett, he attended the University of New Hampshire for a year before
deciding that he did not want to be a computer programer. He
transferred to the Rochester Institute of Technology where he studied
Graphic Design, had a lot of fun, and got into some mischief. He spent
a year at RIT, sold books door to door for a summer, and moved to
Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In Chapel Hill, he started Zoom Culture
out of his apartment and watched as it grew to a 50 person company that
has to date raised over $20M and has three programs on TV. Shea met
Heather Stuart after visiting Asheville, North Carolina to visit some
friends who had just moved down from up north. They dated long distance
for 8 (long) months before Heather (finally) moved to Chapel Hill. Soon
after, Shea got bored at work and needed a change of scenery. Heather
and Shea packed up a big rental truck, put their car on a trailer, and
in January of 2001, moved to Boulder, Colorado.
In September 2001, Shea finally had all his cards in place and proposed to Heather. Thankfully she was so impressed by how he did it, that she had to say yes. It was the second best day of his life (second to being born). Shea is currently involved with his second company, Renewable Choice Energy. Started in September, 2001, it now has 6 full time employees and a roster of 12 sales people selling renewable energy in the Boulder/Denver area.
