General Hospital fans knew it was coming, but that doesn’t make it sting any less.
When Nicholas Alexander Chavez debuted as Spencer Cassadine, he was an immediate hit with the fan base. Couple that with pairing him with Trina, and magic was made.
Sprina fans were devastated when Spencer “died” after a fall off a boat with Esme (Avery Pohl). Initially, it was set to be a leave of absence while he filmed a Ryan Murphy project, but now it’s an official exit.
Speculation about whether Nicholas was out ran for at least a month, but he hadn’t spoken out until now.
The actor took to X (formerly Twitter) to put out his confirmation that his time on General Hospital had come to an end.

In 2022, Netflix and showrunner Ryan Murphy released Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story to mixed reviews and a tremendous amount of controversy.
While the series received acclaim from some critics for its performances and its unflinching portrayal of Dahmer's grisly crimes, others felt that the show went too far in humanizing the monster at its core.
Now, Murphy is preparing to court controversy again, this time with the story of Erik and Lyle Menendez.
The Menendez brothers are far more sympathetic figures than Dahmer, but the fact remains that they committed two brutal murders, which the show will likely depict in graphic detail.
Their murder trial became a national sensation when it was broadcast on Court TV in 1993, but our younger readers might be hearing the Menendez name for the first time.
So here's a rundown of what you can expect from a show that's sure to generate a lot...

Set to air on March 2, 2024, at 10:00 Pm Et/Pt on the CBS Television Network and available for streaming on Paramount+, this episode promises to delve into the heart of the Menendez brothers’ quest for justice.
From the outset, the Menendez case has been nothing short of sensational. As distasteful as it might feel to admit, infamous killers often receive multiple lives in pop culture. This is particularly true in the streaming era, where a need for countless hours of programming can lead streamers to mine true crime stories from the past to enthrall and disturb new generations of viewers.
That’s how 1970s serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer came to be one of 2022’s most unsavory “stars.” Ryan Murphy’s tortuously titled Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story dramatized Dahmer’s gruesome crimes for a whole new audience. Now, thanks to the announcement of Netflix and Murphy’s “Monster” followup, we have a pretty good idea what true crime event could next captivate the streaming world.
On May 3, Netflix announced that the next installment of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s “Monster” franchise would actually be subtitled “Monsters” and feature two killers rather than one.

The common denominator between the Menéndez brothers and one Menudo band member is a grievous one.
In 1996, Lyle and Erik Menéndez were sentenced to life in prison for the murder of their parents, José and Kitty Menéndez. Throughout the sensationalized televised trial, the Beverly Hills brothers alleged that their father Jose had subjected them to years of sexual abuse, which motivated the murders. The prosecution maintained a firm argument that the boys killed José and Kitty for mere financial gain.
Now, three decades later, Peacock’s new three-part docuseries “Menéndez + Menudo: Boys Betrayed” reveals Roy Rosselló’s corroborating claim that he was also sexually abused by the former RCA executive and father of the Menéndez brothers José Menendez.
Menudo was created in 1977 by Edgardo Díaz and grew to be one of the most notable boy bands of all time, attracting crowds of screaming girls like young Latin Beatles. The...

Two sensational stories collide in Menendez + Menudo: Boys Betrayed, a new three-part documentary series airing on Peacock. One helped bring the culture into the era of nonstop TV crime and jurisprudence coverage: the grisly 1989 murder of Jose and Kitty Menendez by their sons, Erik and Lyle. The other involves the former Puerto Rican boy band sensation Menudo, and longstanding accusations of sexual abuse against the group’s Svengali and manager, Edgardo Díaz. The Menendez brothers, currently serving life in prison, have always maintained that their father raped them from the time they were small children.

In 1996, the Menendez brothers were sentenced to life in prison. The Menendez brothers may not be part of official collectible sets of killer trading cards — which sparked outrage when they were first introduced in 1992 and have continued to be controversial as new editions pop up every few years — but their surprise cameo on an NBA trading card means collectors of murder memorabilia can probably still include them in their decks.

It's not uncommon for the wives or confidants of famous criminals to pen novels about their experiences with the convicted — think My Friend Dahmer or The Stranger Beside Me. What is uncommon, however, is for the author to be in such great denial about the reality of their situation. Which is seemingly the case with Tammi Menendez, wife of convicted murderer Erik Menendez. In her 2005 memoir They Said We'd Never Make It: My Life With Erik Menendez, Tammi described her deeply strained marriage with Erik — who was convicted of a double life sentence without parole for the 1989 murder of his parents. In excerpts obtained by Radar Online, Tammi wrote, "I cry myself to sleep. I didn’t realize it would be this difficult.” Question is, what did she expect? Additionally, the now 56-year-old blamed the prison system for the distance in her marriage to Erik. "Being married to you is a hard and painful life.

Lyle and Erik Mendendez, more infamously known as the Menendez Brothers, are currently serving life sentences for the murder of their parents, José and Kitty Menendez. The couple died on August 20, 1989 after Lyle and Erik — who were 21 and 18 at the time — shot them both at point-blank range. José suffered a bullet to the head, while Kitty was shot in the arm, chest, and face. Both parents were shot in the kneecap as well — which was later discovered to be a calculated move on behalf of the brothers to make the crimes look Mafia affiliated. Their nationally televised trial on the one hand showed two deeply troubled young men tormented by a history of alleged violence and sexual abuse. On the other, it painted a picture of two privileged, greedy monsters looking to inherit their parent's wealth by way of unimaginable bloodshed. As history has shown, the latter proved true in a court of law.

Almost 30 years after Lyle Menendez murdered his parents with his brother Erik Menendez, Lyle spoke with Megyn Kelly in a phone interview from prison for Wednesday's episode of Today. Kelly asked Lyle if he regretted murdering his parents Jose Menendez and Kitty Menendez back in 1989. "I completely regret—uh, I don't think that, you know, I want in any way looking back to be the judge and jury of my father's actions or my mother's," Lyle told Kelly. "It's really a regret every day, a regret every day. But at the same time, you really, you know, I can't escape what happened anymore than I can escape, sort of the memories of what happened to me." To...

In the 1990s, O.J. Simpson and the Menendez brothers were defendants in two of the most high-profile murder trials in the nation.
So it’s probably no surprise that Erik and Lyle Menendez and the football superstar-turned-actor actually crossed paths while incarcerated at a Los Angeles jail during their trials.
But what few people know is that Erik, Lyle and Simpson first met each other long before their arrests for the brutal murders of four people.
“O.J. Simpson came over to our house several times,” Lyle, now 49, tells People in a rare interview from California’s Mule Creek State Prison...
