Ad-Rock and Mike D host a convivial trip down memory lane in this filmed record of a live show staged in tribute to third member Adam Yauch
The release of this documentary coincides with #MeAt20, a heart-twisting craze on social media for posting pictures of yourself at 20 years old. Middle-aged people’s timelines are speckled with funny, sweet and sometimes unbearably sad images of themselves in unlined, unformed youth, doing goofy things in milky analogue pictures from back when you had 12 or 24 exposures on your roll-film camera and getting them developed at Boots was a pricey business. That’s what I thought of while watching this engaging, oddly moving film from Spike Jonze: a record of the live stage show he devised at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, in tribute to white hip-hop stars and tongue-in-cheek party-libertarian activists the Beastie Boys. It is presented by the two surviving members,...

During the last couple of seasons, Fabian Delph has been tremendous. Playing in the heart of the Villa midfield during several consecutive relegation battles the midfielder has shone, culminating last season in an England call-up and the captaincy for his club.
Unfortunately for Villa fans this has meant the prowling eye of the Premier League’s top clubs have been circling. It was recently revealed that Delph has a ludicrously low release clause in his contract of around £8 million, and Manchester City were in pole position to snap up the midfielder for a bargain fee. Known to be keen to add homegrown players to the squad Delph would have been a good addition to Pellegrini’s side and could certainly have excelled at the Etihad stadium.
While reports of a Manchester medical spread across the internet, however, Aston Villa’s official site posted a statement from...

Remember the first ever Love Island with its seemingly clueless single celebrities constantly bickering on a tumultuous and stormy (literally and metaphorically) Fijian island?
Even the show's co-hosts Kelly Brook and Patrick Kielty were baying for one another's blood when Kielty decided to declare during one live show that Brook had previously dated contestant Paul Danan.
Other memorable highlights included Abi Titmuss becoming more and more enraged as Fran Cosgrave repeatedly referred to her as Vanessa Feltz, swiftly followed by a tipsy and uncouth Rebecca Loos letting rip.
The series aired almost exactly a decade ago, so we found ourselves wondering - whatever happened to eventual winner Jayne Middlemiss? And the Love Island love god that was Lee Sharpe?
As the new non-celebrity series currently enjoys its ITV2 revival, we find out what the 12 star contestants have gone on to do since their 2005 stint below:

From Gordon Hill to the doyen of cricket umpiring, via one official sending off another and even a spot of Naked Gun
1) Gordon Hill
It's a touch hard to believe amid the bland pale-faced middle-management orthodoxy of today's referees, Gordon Hill did what no football official has done before or since – he made being the man with the whistle look cool.
Between 1966 and 1975 he was certainly the anti-establishment face of the establishment. He looked like a lost fifth Beatle (free-kicks were awarded from underneath a mop of hair and from behind a thick moustache), undid more buttons on his referee's shirt than was publicly decent and gave as good as he got with the players.
On one occasion Millwall's Eamon Dunphy complained at a robust tackle going unpenalised. "You would have avoided it last year," Hill told him. "You're fucking going, you are. Getting past it." His comfort with expletives...

Darren Gough has busted his jaw after accidentally headbutting Ray Quinn on Sing If You Can.
The cricket star was competing against the former X Factor runner up on ITV’s Sing If You Can when the accident happened.
Darren was trying to balance on a fast spinning giant inflatable record, while trying to sing the whole time. He toppled off, fell to the right and bounced off his team-mate who was waiting by the sidelines.
A source told The Sun:
“It was nearing the end of the show when Darren was trying to stay on the record for as long as possible.
“He was doing really well and the wheel was going pretty fast. But then he lost his footing and went hurtling off the side, right where Ray – his team-mate – was standing.
“He gave him an almighty headbutt, smashing his jaw into Ray’s head. He thought he...

Over 200,000 people applied for this year’s The X Factor, and after auditions in Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow, London and Manchester, they have been whittled down to just over 200 who have made it through to Bootcamp.
Some failed to impress while others wowed…but now the fight begins!
In the first of this weekend’s Bootcamp double bill, the remaining acts head to London’s Wembley Arena where the stakes have never been higher and pushed to their limits by Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Guest Judge, Nicole Scherzinger.
Commenting on those through to Bootcamp, Simon says: “I’m going to push them so much harder this year, I mean seriously.”
Louis adds: “They’ve got nowhere to hide, the real competition starts now.”
The acts will be tested like never before, and put through their paces with vocal training and choreography as they battle it out to secure their place at Judges’ Houses.

Kym Marsh has revealed that the song Nella Fantasia, which she sang as one of her final performances on Popstar to Operastar, was by way of a tribute to her baby son Archie, who died shortly after being born prematurely last year.
Kym and partner Jamie Lomas were of course devastated to lose baby Archie last February and have experienced some tough times in the last year as they’ve battled to come to terms with their loss.
Before Kym started her performance of Nella Fantasia, she said it was dedicated to “someone very special” and left many in the audience in tears.
Kym told New! magazine, “It was an emotional song and a lovely tribute. The line, ‘I dream of souls that are always free,’ was the hardest to sing.
“But knowing I had so much support got me through.”
And while thanking Myleene Klass – the show’s host – for her ongoing support,...

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has admitted that she would love to be judge on ITV’s X Factor.
The former Hear’Say star told Bang Showbiz: “I’d love to be a judge, as long as they didn’t sit me next to Cheryl Cole – she’s far too beautiful. But I’d like to do it because I’d empathise a little bit because I’ve been there myself.”
On her plans after ITV’s Popstar To Operastar Kym added: “My job is with ‘Coronation Street’ and I’m going back to ‘Coronation Street’ after I’ve finished on ‘Popstar to Operastar.’
“Jamie wants to try other things and America is one place that maybe he would like to go and try his hand – who wouldn’t?”

Coronation Street sources have insisted that Kym Marsh will not be appearing on Channel 4’s Celebrity Big Brother this week.
The former Hear ‘Say singer appeared to reveal her intent to enter the house via Twitter yesterday when she said:
Finished Corrie for a couple of weeks, now off to get myself a ‘reality’ check.”
However a spokeswoman for the soap insisted that Marsh was “150 per cent not going in”.
“It’s completely wrong – she doesn’t even have a Twitter or Facebook account,” the spokeswoman added.
“She doesn’t use any of those accounts at all. They are all fake.”

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh seems to have admitted that she will be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house next week.
Kym posted a message on her Twitter page which revealed that she would be taking a few weeks break from Corrie and she joked that she would be getting herself a ‘reality check.’
Big Brother bosses must have spotted the message, because Kym deleted it just minutes later and replaced it with:
“just been told off! Feel like I had been sent to the head masters office!”
In later responses to fans she also posted:
“Im not doing anything on new years eve! As I cannot risk having a hang over, as I have a busy couple of days after!”
then
“Lets just say 2010 is going to be a Big year right from the start! x”
and
“Im only taking a couple of weeks off, You might even see more of me!
