"This guy really knows how to handle himself..." Paramount has unveiled an official trailer for a direct-to-vod crime thriller titled Run & Gun, formerly known as The Ray. This is arriving on VOD in January right at the start of the New Year, which is a good hint that this is being dumped. Hoping to evade a group of ruthless killers, a reformed former criminal finds refuge with a mysterious Samaritan. However, it soon becomes apparent that he's stumbled into the nest of something far more dangerous. Now, with the lives of his loved ones hanging in the balance and danger at every turn, Ray's only hope is to draw upon his violent past. Richard Kind co-stars with Ben Milliken as Ray, Brad William Henke, Janel Parrish, Mark Dacascos, Celestino Cornielle, Angela Sarafyan, Hudson Yang, Ari Barkan, Alison Thorton, and Rafael Cebrián. The eccentric cast makes this kind of interesting,...

Exclusive: Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn is heading back to the Cannes Film Festival, but not in the way you might expect.
Refn is expected in Cannes with his new Amazon TV series, Too Old To Die Young, I understand.
This is shaping up to be the first Cannes in four years without a Netflix or Amazon movie in the lineup but the latter will at least have a presence with Refn’s anticipated crime-drama, whose strong cast includes Miles Teller, Billy Baldwin, John Hawkes, Celestino Cornielle, Nell Tiger Free, Jena Malone, Babs Olusanmokun, Alexander Gomez and Callie Hernandez.
The show, which debuts on Amazon Prime on June 14, will take a neon-soaked look at the criminal underbelly of La, including working-class hit men, Yakuza soldiers, cartel assassins from Mexico, Russian mafia captains and teenage killers.

Teller plays a police officer named Martin, who utters the trailer’s first words: “I killed a woman last night.”
The crime drama series follows killers’ existential journeys to becoming samurais in Los Angeles, while Martin becomes more and more entangled in the world of assassins.
Nicolas Winding Refn, known for 2011’s “Drive” and 2016’s “The Neon Demon,” directs and writes the series, with Ed Brubaker (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier”) also writing.

Amazon Studios has released a crazy-ass new trailer for director Nicolas Winding Refn’s upcoming series Too Old To Die Young. Refn is the guy behind films such as Drive, Only God Forgives, and The Neon Demon. As you’ll see in this new trailer, this series looks like it’s going to be one of his most insane projects yet.
This is a dark 10-episode noir crime thriller that "explores the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles by following characters’ existential journeys from being killers to becoming samurais in the City of Angels."
The story follows “a grieving police officer who, along with the man who shot his partner, finds himself in an underworld filled with working-class hit men, Yakuza soldiers, cartel assassins sent from Mexico, Russian mafia captains and gangs of teen killers.”

Not to be confused with Dominga Sotomayor’s excellent coming-of-age film Too Late to Die Young arriving at the end of May, Nicolas Winding Refn’s crime drama series Too Old to Die Young will land on Amazon just a few weeks later in June. Starring Miles Teller, Jena Malone, William Baldwin (Silver), Celestino Cornielle (The Fate of the Furious), Nell Tiger Free (Game of Thrones), John Hawkes (Winter Bone), Callie Hernandez (Alien: Covenant), and Babs Olusanmokun (Black Mirror), a new trailer has now premiered.
“For me the biggest change is just the endurance to do what I think of as a ten-hour movie – or a 16-hour movie in the case of Too Old To Die Young,” composer Cliff Martinez told Screen Daily this year. “It’s ten episodes that are around 90 minutes a piece. The director behind Drive, Only God Forgives, and The Neon Demon, Nicolas Winding Refn, is developing a new 10-episode series for Amazon called Too Old To Die Young. This is a dark noir crime thriller that "explores the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles by following characters’ existential journeys from being killers to becoming samurais in the City of Angels."
Refn wrote the series alongside Ed Brubaker and as you'll see in this first teaser trailer for the series, it's pure Refn. If you're familiar with his film work, you'll see that he brought his signature dark neon noire style to this series.
The films that Refn has made have been hit and miss for me. Drive is easily his best film, in my opinion. I'll definitely be watching this new series of his. I'm intrigued by this first trailer.

This film fan is not an avid series watcher. Though, this year's "The Rain" and "The Chalet" were very good. Nicolas Winding Refn's "Too Old to Die Young" might change all that. This Amazon Prime Original is set to show 10 episodes in 2019. The first trailer has been released today. Very much a crime thriller, "Too Old to Die Young" is set in Los Angeles as a grieving police officer takes out his pain on the various criminal cartels and gangs. The trailer should not be missed. Some of the casting for "Too Old to Die Young" has been announced. This series stars: Miles Teller (Only the Brave) William Baldwin (Silver) Celestino Cornielle (The Fate of the Furious) Neill Tiger Free, John Hawkes and many others. First Teaser for Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Too Old to Die Young’ Sets Miles Teller in a World of Crime
After months of anticipation – and after only being slightly relieved through teasing information from director Nicolas Winding Refn’s Twitter posts, as well as the official account – the first footage from his new, highly-under-wraps Amazon Studios series Too Old to Die Young has finally been released. The first teaser, which is completely void of dialogue, depicts a vibrant world of violence and crime, accompanied by a powerful piece of electronic score.
If there’s anything we can learn from Refn’s body of directorial work, it’s that he feels confident in the crime-drama genre. His hyper-stylized and colorful imagery can be famously found in Drive, Only God Forgives, and The Neon Demon – and it seems like Too Old to Die Young will fall comfortably into his oeuvre.
The series has also gained intrigue thanks to its cast list – particularly Miles Teller, who continues to impress within his grittier roles.

A man buying a ring is killed when the jewellery store is raided. One of the robbers take the ring from his hand, which is unusual. They pass Horatio (David Caruso) on the bikes when he's in pursuit, but they didn't just disappear. Tread marks on the road reveal they drove into a truck. They did a u-turn and doubled back, Ryan (Jonathan Togo) suggests they rode onto something. Calleigh (Emily Procter) can't find anything wrong with the SUV. Jesse (Eddie Cibrian) says it was used to block the road and it's been stripped of the Vin number. Jesse asks if Calleigh's okay after she sees Jake (Johnny Whitworth) in the crowd. Jesse notices the Vin plate on the ground. Calleigh wasn't looking for it. No she was too busy wondering what Jake was doing there.
